TEXANS vs. CHIEFS

Houston has had a bad secondary for many years now. So what did Bill O’Brien do to fix it, trade DeAndre Hopkins for David Johnson, Trade for Brandin Cooks, and lose draft picks. Ya, that will do the trick.

The Texans come into 2020 with once again a solid front 7, and once again a secondary that can be picked apart like a 1st grader making macaroni art. Good thing for the Texans they are playing Super Bowl MVP, Owner of the Kansas City Royals, and the richest athlete alive..Patrick Mahomes.

Mahomes is HOME on ring night to give praise to the Super Bowl Champions. Mahomes will have to semi-worry about the pass rush in this one as Whitney Mercilus is maybe the most underrated pass rusher in the NFL. The real story is how will J.J. Watt look Last season Watt was a human Frankenstein on the Dline, and even though that is still better than 90% of NFL D-Lineman, it would be amazing to see if Watt actually got better. Mahomes should have all day to throw to all of his weapons. Texans do not have a chance on stopping any of them. Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins, Travis Kelce, even throw in Mecole Hardman who has a chance to ruin all of those guys Fantasy Night.

Running the ball will not be easy for the Chiefs. CEH will be running into a brick wall, and Darrel Williams will likely be joining him. The X-Factor that I want to see make a big play that is going to change the RB conversation for the rest of the season in KC is Darwin Thompson. All it takes is one of his big sexy power spin moves for a 15 yard gain and it becomes a three-headed monster.

Chiefs will be scoring points that is for sure.

Texans have to answer. While everyone laughs at the Brandin Cooks trade, he actually makes the defense play deep to protect the pass. Wait the Texans have Kenny Stills too? Okay, let’s play even deeper. Wait they have Will Fuller as well! Lets give up the underneath pass to David Johnson all day. That is exactly what the Texans will do to open the season. Remember when David Johnson was a Fantasy BEAST? The top RB in Fantasy Football. Two years ago. Oh how Sheep reason and now everyone in the BEAST DOME NATION stole him in Round 4 of all Fantasy Football Drafts. Taking candy from a baby.

The Texans offense will be moving the ball all game long. While Bill O’Brien is a below-average GM, he is an offensive genius. He deserves a ton of credit for Brady’s best years in New England and that is why he is the Head Coach of the Texans who will put up with anything he does. Also did a great job on Hard Knocks a few years back. Texans will be playing from behind, but there will be enough points to make this one very entertaining.
