FANTASY FOOTBALL THURSDAY NIGHT LIGHTS:

Driving The Carr To The Future (Week 16)

BEAST DOME NATION.

This is it for Oakland Raiders Fans. After losing a tough game three weeks ago to the Kansas City Chiefs, the Raiders season was all but done. They pulled off an amazing road victory against the Broncos, but then again let everyone down at home against the Packers last week. The Raiders have nothing left to play for besides pride and building for a potential playoff run in 2016.

Tonight they face a San Diego Chargers offense that has had more injuries than Steve Harvey Memes these last few days. With Melvin Gordon now done, the Chargers Offense is limited to Donald Brown and Danny Woodhead in the backfield. Surprising enough, Donald Brown and his 90+ Rushing Yards off the bench makes you wonder why Melvin Gordon had such a bad season. Regardless, the Chargers all battled and bruised head into their last chance to make a statement as everyone will be watching.

WHEN OAKLAND HAS THE BALL

Expect the Derek Carr show to take over eventually, but for the time being the Raiders would love to see Latavius Murray get going. Latavius only needs 44 Rushing Yards to reach 1,000 on the season, and you know they want to get him that feat at home. He should be able to reach that milestone quickly, and once they do it is time to take the air attack. The Chargers Defense has holes everywhere, so while they could run the ball, Derek Carr and his WR duo of Crabtree and Cooper is going to be more than unguardable all game for the Chargers. Crabtree is 151 yards short of 1,000 on the season and while he will definitely reach that mark, it is more likely than not that comes in Week 17 against the Chiefs. We will see the air show take place, but in the end the Raiders are really playing to win this game instead of running up the score and recording milestones.

WHEN SAN DIEGO HAS THE BALL

Philip Rivers will launch the ball all game. Sure Donald Brown will get his few carries, but this Raiders Run D is really turning it up lately and Donald Brown was last relevant when Peyton Manning was wearing a Colts Jersey. Rivers does not have a lot of weapons, but you know he would love to connect with Antonio Gates for at least 1 TD as this could be Gates last season. Danny Woodhead will get a lot of touches and becomes a clear cut RB#2, not sure how many carries he can handle with that small frame, but the Chargers will find out tonight. PPR has always been the name of the game for Woodhead.

RESULT

Oakland is going to win this game. Latavius Murray will carve up the Chargers Defense, Derek Carr will be able to pick apart the Chargers Defense whenever he wants. Rivers will be playing a fierce and motivated Raiders Defense that is looking to end this season on a high. Even if it is not the last game of the season, the Oakland Raiders at Home on Semi-National TV will be playing like it is and ready to show the world that..We Will Make The Playoffs in 2016.
