The Bills go into New England for what many thought was going to be a layup of a matchup. That is not the case as Bill Belichick is reminding us why he is a Hall of Fame coach. The Patriots defense has been up and down this season, as has the offense. Now they have to put it all together in a division-rival matchup where the Patriots still can be the #1 seed.

The Bills offense is playing a little hot and cold as of late. They will put together long drives all game every game, but they have been going three and out a little too often for their fantasy owners liking. This could be one of those games where the Bills offense stalls for drives at a time once again. Jalen Mills on Stefon Diggs is a popcorn worthy matchup. Allen has plenty of weapons, Patriots always have a good scheme, but this defense does get destroyed at times like they did against the Vikings on Thanksgiving. However that game was in a dome, not a cold 35 degree night. The Bills offense will be up and down all night long.

The Patriots offense found some unexpected juice on Thanksgiving. They were grateful for the dome, for now they play in a cold environment against a tough Bills Defense. Well, what once was a tough Bills defense. No Von Miller, injuries on their D-Line, no Edmunds to contain the middle. The Bills are in trouble, because this Patriots team can pound the rock all game long. The Bills D is going to get worn down, just like the clock. The Patriots will sustain long drives, while likely settling for those FGs. Stevenson is going to be a workhorse without Damien Harris.

Josh Allen has to have enough drives where he takes the Bills down the field in order for the Bills to win this game. While that is the most obvious statement in the history of sports analysis. The plot twist in this situation is he will have half of the drives he usually has. The Patriots are going to pound the clock and drive down the field time after time where the Redzone D of Buffalo is going to have to do what it takes to keep this Bills team in the game. If Stevenson start getting those TDs, this game is over. Darth Belichick will have a gameplan for Josh Allen that he may not be ready for.
