FANTASY FOOTBALL THURSDAY NIGHT LIGHTS
BRONCOS COUNTRY. LET’S RIDE (WEEK 5)

BEAST DOME NATION.
What a horrible season it has been for the Broncos offense. Russell Wilson looks like a High School QB, and now Javonte Williams is out for the season. What is looking good for the Broncos is; Courtland Sutton, and the potential of Jerry Jeudy. This week they have a home game against a very underrated Colts Defense. Even without Shaq Darius Leonard, and the secondary missing Blackmon. This Colts D has looked solid pretty much every week this season. Ya they have their moments of weakness, like letting Ryan Tannehill drive the length of the field a couple of times last week, and Mahomes/T-Law/Mills all doing the same, but this defense can turn it up when they need to.
The Colts offense on the other hand just lost their identity this week with Jonathan Taylor missing a game. There are times this offensive line looks so good that even Matt Ryan can look good. However there are times when this offensive line does not give Matt Ryan time, and then Matty Ice looks like a Middle School QB. The first thing the Colts want to do in the passing game is get their superstar Michael Pittman his targets. However against Patrick Surtain Jr. that is not an option for the Colts. Surtain is easily a Top 5 DB in the NFL, Pittman will get shutdown. With Pittman shutdown, and Hines likely not going to be able to find much running room at all against a very good Broncos Run D, except for last week when Josh Jacobs ran like vintage Brandon Jacobs. This colts offense will not be exciting.
The Colts will check down quick throws and punt.
The Broncos will not be able to run, and then maybe punt.
It all comes down Russell Wilson hooking up with Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy. If the Broncos throw the ball 40+ times on Thursday, they will be fine. If Nathaniel Hackett organizes another run heavy approach like he has been doing way too often, the Broncos offense will be punting.
In the end we are looking at another boring Thursday game against two borderline playoff teams, that will both probably miss the playoffs. Colts only get playoff consideration because the AFC South is so weak.
