If there was one name in Fantasy Football heading into the 2025 preseason that you never heard of before, but now are definitely well aware of. Jacory Croskey-Merritt is that name. I still remember his preseason TD run like it was yesterday. Never in a million years have I seen so many people go so wild for a Touchdown when a player was untouched against second stringers in a preseason game. The Bill Croskey Show Vol. I.

In Week 1, Jacory was doing nothing through much of the first half. Many Fantasy owners were already contemplating am I ever going to play this guy. Then Bill Croskey Fantasy Owners caught a break. Ekeler needed a breather in the BEAST ZONE (NEW EPISODE TONIGHT! CHECK BACK ON BEASTDOME.COM 5 MINUTES BEFORE GAME). Austin Ekeler checked himself out, Bill Croskey took an outside run, and a TD for his fantasy owners. I still remember the moment I saw that TD, all I could think is, I probably faded him too much.

Later in the game to kill the clock, Jacory ripped off a long 42 yard run, giving him 72 for the game. So without the breather for Ekeler TD, and without the long run in kill the clock mode, Jacory did nothing. While I have no reason to hate on Jacory, U OF A! Yes I was in the same College year as Rob Gronkowski at the University of Airzona, I still remember running into him at a Pool Party where we took a shot to him being on my Future Fantasy Football Teams. I should ask him if he remembers that, that is a pretty specific cheers. Then again is he going to remember that, or remember catching TD’s from Brady with the Patriots and Bucs.

Anyways, Jacory is not the greatest RB. His broken tackle ability on Madden would probably be 60 at best. His speed is good in the 88 range, but in all reality if there is no hole, there is no play to be made. Jacory should have a nice size role since Chris Rodriguez Jr. is benched, even though in my mind C-Rod was way better than Bill this preseason. All it takes is one fumble, and Jacory will likely find himself in the back seat.

Sell Jacory now in Fantasy, his goal line TD was a fluke, and a garbage time run saved his day. His reality is, he is a High-Upside RB4, people may treat him like a RB2 after the last performance. Against Green Bay, Jacory will be back to reality.
