FANTASY FOOTBALL THE #1 PICK (JUSTIN JEFFERSON)

FANTASY FOOTBALL THE #1 PICK

(JUSTIN JEFFERSON)

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

The #1 Pick. Nothing is more prestigious on Draft Day than holding the keys to this position. In the past, this pick has held the power to draft LaDanian Tomlinson/Marshall Faulk, true superstar Hall of Famers that took over the game of Fantasy Football. For what seems like the past decade, the #1 Pick has never lived up to their potential. We have seen Le’Veon Bell/Jonathan Taylor/Todd Gurley, bum after bum after bum ruin the #1 pick. Even CMC never lives up to being the #1 pick when he was in Carolina.

The future is here, and we have a player you should draft number one without thinking twice about it.

JUSTIN JEFFERSON

Last year Jefferson was unstoppable with 1809 yards. If Jefferson gets another 1809 yards in 2023, his Fantasy owners will be happier than happy. I am here to tell you, he will do better in 2023 than he did in 2022.

NO MORE DALVIN COOK

If you were to ask me who the most important player on the Vikings was since Justin Jefferson has been a Viking. Besides Kirk Cousins, I would go with Dalvin Cook. Dalvin was the lifeblood of that team and he needed to get his 20 touches in order for the Vikings to win. With Dalvin Cook gone, Justin Jefferson becomes the most valuable player on the team by such a large margin, it is not even close. The Vikings will force-feed their star and look for him as often as possible with a much weaker run game in 2023. The Randy Ratio (Look it up if you do not know) will turn into the Jefferson Ratio.

I HAVE A THIELEN

Thielen and Kirk had an unspoken bond that kept Thielen performing at a high fantasy level for what seems like a decade. You could always rely on Adam T. to get his 1000 Yards as well as near 100 catches. With Adam Thielen gone, Justin Jefferson is going to pick up a lot of the slack that Thielen left on the table. Sure, Vikings drafted Jordan Addison, but at the end of the day, Jefferson is only going to soak up more targets over a rookie.

CHEMISTRY WITH CAPTAIN KIRK

This is the fourth year Justin Jefferson and Kirk Cousins will team up. In Fantasy Football the scariest/most unpredictable component for a QB/WR is when they have their first year together. It goes great sometimes, it can flop sometimes. With Kirk and Jefferson working together for three straight years, there is nothing you have to worry about with inconsistencies and timing. We have seen it work before, and we will see it work again.

OVER 1399.5 YARDS

If there was a gun to my head, and I had to pick one prop to save my life, Justin Jefferson getting over 1400 Yards this season would be that choice. The Vikings are going to use Jefferson more than ever in 2023, and there is very little reason to believe that he will fall short of his 1800+ yards last season. Even if Justin Jefferson has a small decline, he will still be a BEAST and could easily get 200+ Yards multiple times in a game this season, making this number of 1400 very easy to defeat.
