RB RANKINGS COMING WEDNESDAY NIGHT

QB

ANDY DALTON – QB – CIN

ADP #107

QB #14

The Red Rifle is a much better reality QB than a Fantasy QB.  The Bengals passing game is a one man offense in A.J. Green.  While A.J. can have his BEAST weeks, he can also be limited.  If A.J. Green is limited in any week, there is no way that Bengals WR core can put up numbers to support a Top 15 Fantasy QB.  Even when A.J. Green has his big weeks, you still need one or two other playmakers to near the 100 Yard marker for those memorable games.

If you want a chance to win your Fantasy Football league, you are better off using your 107th pick on something better.

JOE FLACCO – QB – BAL

ADP #123

QB #16

Tell me if this makes sense.  Your team just won the Superbowl, your biggest and most consistent WR for the past three seasons, Anquan Boldin, has the playoff run of his life with 4 TDs.  Including a 10 Catch 104 Yard 1 TD performance against the leagues best defense in the Superbowl.

So your team trades him to the team you just beat in the Superbowl.  Your “Superstar” QB who just signs a mega extension is now without his best WR.  The Ravens decide not to sign another WR.  So now, you are seeing if what you paid for can get it done without his best WR.  Which never works for the best.

Avoid Joe Flacco this season as Torrey Smith and Dennis Pitta were much better because Anquan demanded the defenses attention.

RB

DAVID WILSON – RB – NYG

ADP #35

RB #19

David Wilson is lightning in a bottle.  While that translates to some blowout wins in your Fantasy League, it can also cause heartbreak.  There are a few red flags on Wilson.

1.  The Giants will be a pass 1st/pass 2nd/pass 3rd offense.

2. Andre Brown is supposed to be splitting the carries 50/50.

3. Andre Brown will be the TD Vulture at the goal line.

4. David Wilson is prone to being in the coaches dog house. Fumbles/Mistakes.

All of this adds up to a lot of risk for the #19 RB off the board.  Andre Brown can easily turn into a workhorse back if he thrives, which will add up to a lot of disappointing Sundays.

BENJARVUS GREEN-ELLIS – RB – CIN

ADP #71

RB #29

Still too early to tell, but it is looking likely that Green-Ellis will not have a full-time job with this offense.  The rookie Giovani Bernard is making noise in camp, and the coaches are loving every second of it.

Green-Ellis is good for being a bowling ball, but Bernard can be that HR RB that this team needs to really confuse those safeties.  While “The Law Firm BJGE” is a good RB to pick up those 80 Yard/1 TD performances, he is also a RB that could only get you 40 Yards as Bernard steals the show.

Watch that situation closely this preseason.

WR

TY HILTON – WR – IND

ADP #78

WR #30

Thank You Hilton is a Fantasy Player that is going to see his value drop more than any WR.

1. The Colts are moving to a quick pass offense aka West Coast Offense.

2. The Colts signed Darrius Heyward-Bey who is arguably the fastest WR in the NFL.

3. The Colts may actually have a legitimate running game in 2013 with Bradshaw.

What made Ty Special was the fact the Colts had no running game in 2012.  If Andrew Luck did not chuck the ball 35+ Times, including a few streaks to Ty.  Then the Colts had zero chance.  Now Ty has more competition for targets with DHB coming into town.  All of this adds up to be a situation to avoid, especially in a 2 TE offense.
