FANTASY FOOTBALL LOST IN THE SAUCE

(NY JETS WIN TOTAL)

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

New to this season’s Draft Guide is my team-by-team season story. You will get all 32 teams’ stories like below. I am waiting to do every team’s story until all the big-name Free Agents sign, but the Jets have made it clear that they are finished building their roster. Despite the fact the Jets are done in Free Agency, other teams the Jets play will make moves, so nothing is final in this article. (TEAM STORIES COME OUT IN AUGUST).

You can read how I expect each team to perform in my team-by-team preseason breakdown (BEAST DOME Draft Guide). Learn more below. The purpose of this article is to show how the Jets regular season will flow.

NY JETS

The Jets have a terrible schedule to start the season. Right away Aaron Rodgers has to go up against the Bills/Cowboys/Broncos & Eagles oh my. All of these units have defenses that can limit any offense in the league. Expect slow starts from all Fantasy options as there will be a lot of punting in those games. Cannot forget about the Patriots who still have Bill Belichick figuring out how to slow down offenses. Not the start you want for Aaron Rodgers who is playing with a new team, regardless of it being a system Rodgers is familiar with. The Jets could be 3-3, maybe even 2-4 to start the season. Home primetime games against Josh Allen and the Bills (Week 1), as well as Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs (Week 4) will be Must-Watch TV.

I would compare the Jets start to; Taking the SATs without doing a practice SAT.
I doubt the Jets play Rodgers much at all in the preseason, which will cost them.

The Bye Week will help the Jets get on the right page. They just finished their test, regardless of the result, everything else should be easier to finish the season.

Right out of the gate, the Jets play a playoff-caliber defense against the Giants (Week 8) on the road. Crucial game to set the momentum for the rest of the season. The offense coming out party will take place against the Raiders (Week 10) on Sunday Night Football. The big matchup to see if this Jets team is going to make the playoffs depends on how they handle the Dolphins twice (Week 12/Week 15) to close out the season. If the Jets can beat the Dolphins in Week 12, that momentum can propel the finish of the season by winning seven games straight. Of course it is too early to say, but assuming Dalvin Cook rumors do send him to Miami, the Jets offense and defense can definitely put this team in position to win all seven of those games.

Jets Finish with a 11-6 Record (June Prediction)
*Players can sign on teams the Jets play against*

VEGAS TOTAL: 9.5 (OVER)

The Jets may only be favored to win 8 games this season, despite the fact they can win 12.

I like the Over as of today, but I would not take it until Dalvin Cook is confirmed not in a Dolphins Jersey. The Jets will have to depend on a late-season run in winnable games to clinch the feat, which will leave you in despair for about 8-9 Weeks of the season. Which concludes with a late season prayer that only Aaron Rodgers can answer. Aaron Rodgers will answer the prayer.

The Jets have a Super Bowl caliber team, that is why they got Aaron Rodgers. The only problem is the Jets have to put it together right away as the AFC East is not as easy of a division as it once was. When Tom Brady would have the division clinched by November.
