Will there ever be a time when the Jets are relevant? I am talking playoff relevant? The only way the Jets become Super Bowl relevant is if you are playing XBOX.
The Sam Darnold chapter is over in New York, in comes an exact repeat of Zach Wilson. Might as well call it High School Musical 3. Mark Sanchez/Sam Darnold and now Zach. Ya, Corey Davis and Tevin Coleman were good additions this offseason to the offense. So was Le’Veon Bell and Jamison Crowder a few years ago. Could easily argue Bell + Crowder is and was a bigger deal.
The AFC East is not the same weak division it was last season. Every team got a little more experience and added comfort to their systems, while the Jets are deciding to start over from scratch with Robert Saleh and Mike LaFleur who was there as a towel boy OC to learn whatever he can. LaFleur the brother to the Packers coach who decided to kick a FG in the closing moments of the Playoff game against Tampa Bay that ended the Aaron Rodgers regime.

In that article I said both teams will rely on their superstar QBs and not on their FG kickers for a prop. The Prop won, but the decision to kick that FG was the worst move since not running on the 1 yard line, sorry Seattle fans.
Regardless, the 49ers offense did not look special at all, and I doubt LaFleur really learned anything in SF that is going to make him a gamechanger Offensive Coordinator. Which means once again for every season since Fitzmagic/Forte/Marshall/Decker left town, the Jets are going to be a boring Football team with no hope to their offense.
I do not like to judge a book based on its cover, and Wilson does not look like a horrible QB. I would say a mini Josh Allen future, but it took some time for Josh Allen to really find his game. The weapons are not terrible in NY, but the Jets team philosophy is not going to be to put up fireworks on offense. Davis cannot beat #1 corners consistently, Crowder is losing a step and health.
In the end, the Jets are looking at another terrible season of Football. Going from Knicks to Jets fans is not a good way to close out 2021 for people of NY. Find a new team with BEAST DOME.
