This offseason in QB Free Agency, after all the dust settled with Tom Brady, it seemed to come down to two superstar QBs, if that is what we are going to call them. The QBs were Cam Newton and Jameis Winston. Many considered Jameis more upside, Cam more..well he needs to get healthy first. Off to Free Agency both QBs went, and bam vanished into thin year on a 1 year deal, Winston went to the Saints.
Why in the world would the Saints pick up Jameis Winston, on a one year deal only. Drew Brees still has at least one more year left in him, am I right BEAST DOME NATION! as we stole him in Round 6 and he rode the Saints to 22 TDs in the last 7 games, including 12 TDs alone in the Fantasy Playoffs (Week 14-15-16). On top of that, Taysom Hill is a better Lamar Jackson. Better situation at least. Why in the world would the Saints pickup Jameis Winston. I know why.
The Saints want Jameis for one reason and one reason only. To pick apart Bruce Arians and have a great gameplan to shut down all of the weapons Tampa Bay has to offer. Now of course things will change with Brady & Gronk in town, but would you pay nearly $1 Million dollars to have a better chance of winning two games against a team that can win the Division? Not only that, the Saints can learn intel on how Arians wanted to attack all the NFC South teams. This is an inside job for the Saints to grab Winston, just like how the Panthers grabbed Teddy Bridgewater. This is I SPY to the MAX.
