BEAST NATION:
FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP JOURNEY (WEEK 16)

 

WEEK 15 RECAP HAIKUS

BUFFALO BILLS

Ryan Fitzpatrick did not have a chance against Seattle’s D/ST.
C.J. Spiller will have his days.
Stevie Johnson did well for being shadowed by Sherman.
Scott Chandler is the #2 option, which does not mean much.
Bills D/ST is on the wrong side of momentum.

MIAMI DOLPHINS

Ryan Tannehill was great in a good matchup.
Reggie Bush did everything but score a TD.
Daniel Thomas is not longer a threat.
Brian Hartline led the team in receiving. Which was only 77 Yards.
Anthony Fasano scored a TD thanks to Charles Clay being injured.
Dolphins D/ST is a good unit at home.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

Tom Brady 65 Pass Attempts. And a Rushing TD.
Stevan Ridley and Shane Vereen fumbled.
Danny Woodhead ate up the production.
Brandon Lloyd had a game everyone was waiting for (190 Yards).
Aaron Hernandez saw 20 Targets.
Wes Welker only 56 Yards.
NE D/ST was rocked.

NEW YORK JETS

Tebow time should be coming soon.
Shonn Greene only can do so much on 13 carries. He’s not Marshawn Lynch.
Bilal Powell saw Joe McKnight steal too many touches.
Jeff Cumberland is the only option worth starting in the Jets passing game.
Jets D/ST could not stop the run.

HOUSTON TEXANS

Matt Schaub handed the ball off too much.
Which led to a huge game for Foster, minus the TD.
Ben Tate was not a factor.
Andre Johnson was a Monster.
Owen Daniels was on the short end of the day.
Texans D/ST was back to dominating.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

Andrew Luck could not convert a 3rd down.
Vick Ballard had one of the best performances against Hou all season.
Reggie Wayne was erased from this game.
T.Y. Hilton got his lucky long TD.
Dwayne Allen continues to over power Fleener.
Colts D/ST was on the field too much.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS

Chad Henne had a tough matchup.
Montell Owens was playing from behind.
Justin Blackmon had a TD called back.
Cecil Shorts came back with 100+ Yards.
Marcedes Lewis is on the outside looking in.
Jags D/ST, not a great unit at all.

TENNESSEE TITANS

Jake Locker might as well be a RB.
Chris Johnson is CJ2K in the right matchup.
Kenny Britt was locked up.
Which meant Nate Washington got the space to be the #1 WR.
Titans D/ST did well in a good matchup.

CLEVELAND BROWNS

Brandon Weeden throws too many INTs. He needs a real WR.
Trent Richardson saving his day with TDs in two straight.
Greg Little was the #1 WR for a day. Josh Gordon busted.
Browns D/ST was on the field too much.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS

Big Ben is back.
Jonathan Dwyer saved his day with a goal line TD.
Mike Wallace is the clear #1 WR.
Antonio Brown is a very dangerous #2 WR.
Heath Miller had one of his best games.
Steelers D/ST needs Ike Taylor.

BALTIMORE RAVENS

Joe Flacco got good garbage time numbers.
Ray Rice was shutout all game.
Torrey Smith suffered a concussion.
Anquan Boldin did not exist.
Dennis Pitta was MVP for the day.
Ravens D/ST did not do a thing.

CINCINNATI BENGALS

Andy Dalton did not have to throw much in the 2nd half.
Benjarvus Green-Ellis is a Machine against bad defenses.
A.J. Green was saved by a late TD.
Jermaine Gresham is the clear #2 option.
Bengals D/ST took advantage of the matchup.

SAN DIEGO CHARGERS

Phillip Rivers played horrible in a great matchup.
Ryan Mathews ends his fantasy football season with another shoulder injury.
Danario Alexander went 0/3 with his targets.
Malcolm Floyd led the team in recieving yards with 39.
Antonio Gates ended up in the endzone.
Chargers D/ST could get revenge against Jets.

DENVER BRONCOS

Peyton Manning did not have to do much.
Knowshon Moreno carved up the defense.
Demariyus Thomas was shutout, randomly.
Erick Decker took the show with him.
No Jacob Tamme this week.
Broncos D/ST. ELITE but did not do as well as owners expected.
AFC Champions. 

OAKLAND RAIDERS

Carson Palmer just kept handing the ball off.
Darren McFadden forgot to get the TD on his 30+ touch performance.
Denarius Moore got his targets again (8).
The #2 option in passing game is up for grabs.
Which makes Brandon Myers inconsistent.
Raiders D/ST played a game they will remember forever.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

Brady Quinn not worth talking about.
Jamaal Charles finally let his fantasy owners down (28 Total Yards).
Dexter McCluster was the clear #1 option, that can change quickly.
Tony Moeaki is a consistent #3 TE.
Chiefs D/ST did not break.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

Nick Foles misses Tampa.
Bryce Brown misses easy defenses.
LeSean McCoy could return this week.
Jeremy Maclin is the clear #1 WR.
Clay Harbor is a sleeper TE.
Eagles D/ST is not the same unit from 2011.

DALLAS COWBOYS

Tony Romo does well at home once again.
DeMarco Murray is running like a 1st round pick.
Dez Bryant is a soldier.
Miles Austin is under performing.
Jason Witten is a big reason why.
Cowboys D/ST is injured and not 100%.

NEW YORK GIANTS

Eli Manning was horrible on the road.
David Wilson saw Kregg Lumpkin take too many touches.
Victor Cruz got knocked out.
Hakeem Nicks was not a factor.
Martellus Bennett really was not a factor.
Giants D/ST was on the field the whole game.

WASHINGTON REDSKINS

Kirk Cousins gave the Redskins a passing game.
Alfred Morris scored 2 TDs.
Evan Royster stole one.
Leonard Hankerson ended up with 2 TDs.
While Garcon had to deal with Joe Haden still 65 Yards.
Redskins D/ST did it’s job.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS

Christian Ponder ran for a TD.
Adrian Peterson ran all over the field, 212 Yards and TD.
No Vikings WR is worth owning.
Kyle Rudolph is very inconsistent.
Vikings D/ST was not great, but not the worst unit.

GREEN BAY PACKERS

Aaron Rodgers was nice with 3 TDs.
Alex Green did not do much with his touches.
DaJuan Harris is much more explosive.
Greg Jennings/Randall Cobb saw James Jones score 3 TDs.
JerMichael Finley owners got 61 Yards, but again no TD.
Packers D/ST did it’s job on the road.

CHICAGO BEARS

Jay Cutler did not convert a 3rd down.
Matt Forte got his touches, but the production was not good enough.
Brandon Marshall did what he could on 7 targets.
Bears D/ST was on the field too often.

DETROIT LIONS

Matthew Stafford was horrible.
Mikel Leshoure had 2x the carries as Bell. The TD helped as well.
Calvin Johnson saw 17 targets, forgot the TD.
Tony Scheffler did not take advantage of no Pettigrew.
Lions D/ST was put in bad situations by Stafford.

ATLANTA FALCONS

Matt Ryan stepped it up at home.
Michael Turner found his way to another TD.
JacQuizz Rodgers had his chance to score.
Julio Jones was a TD machine.
Roddy White clearly not 100%.
Falcons D/ST shutout the Giants.

CAROLINA PANTHERS

Cam Newton was solid despite not running at all.
Mike Tolbert stole 2 goal line TDs.
DeAnglo Williams back-to-back TD games.
Steve Smith is a target hog.
Greg Olsen will have his moments.
CAR D/ST played it’s best game.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

Josh Freeman ruined a lot of Fantasy Football seasons.
Doug Martin was ruined because Freeman was horrible.
Mike Williams was wide open for a TD.
Vincent Jackson got his numbers after the game was over.
Bucs D/ST did not stand a chance.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

Drew Brees huge Playoff game for his owners.
Darren Sproles got his TD.
Mark Ingram over took Pierre Thomas as the ball carrier.
Marques Colston misses the endzone.
Jimmy Graham really misses it.
Lance Moore finds his way when the matchup is right.
Saints D/ST a shutout?

ARIZONA CARDINALS

Ryan Lindley did not have to do much thanks to the Cardinals Defense.
Beanie Wells had one of his random 3 TD games. That’s 5 already this season.
Larry Fitzgerald is worthless with Lindley at QB.
Cardinals D/ST showed off their potential.

SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

Colin Kaepernick is playing like a Fantasy MVP.
Frank Gore is staying effective, just not ELITE.
Michael Crabtree has good synergy with Colin.
Vernon Davis does not.
49ers D/ST gets a hall pass against the Patriots.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Russell Wilson stole Marshawn Lynch’s day.
Marshawn Lynch continues to impress despite limited carries.
Sidney Rice is clearly the only WR to trust.
Golden Tate has his moments WR#4 quality.
SEA D/ST learns about Richard Sherman Friday.

ST. LOUIS RAMS

Sam Bradford huge 2nd half numbers from playing behind.
Danny Amendola is back.
Steven Jackson is Mr. Everything for the Rams.
Chris Givens was lost in translation.
Rams D/ST nothing special.
