FANTASY FOOTBALL BUST OF THE WEEK 3

1A JONATHAN TAYLOR/1B CHRISTIAN MCCAFFERY

BEAST DOME NATION.

1A and 1B. That is how everyone their described their Sheep Fantasy Football Draft when having the #1 or #2 pick. Taking Jonathan Taylor or Christian McCaffery. If you went outside of that, it was blasphemy. BEAST DOME Draft Guide had Cooper Kupp as the #1 Player in Fantasy Football. He is going to run through Taylor and CMC stats this season. He could combine for more yards than both of these players combined some weeks, and this is possibly one of those weeks.

JONATHAN TAYLOR aka 1A

Unfortunately for Indianapolis Colts Fans across the nation. Matt Ryan aged over the course of this offseason. This is not the same QB from last year, this is Peyton Manning on his last hurrah type of status. When he was a walking statue and his throws had no zip. The Colts offense is in trouble. Not only does Matt Ryan have no arm, Michael Pittman is his only WR that is a real option. While Pittman broke out Week 1, you know defenses are going to do what they can to not let that happen again. Especially after watching Matty Ice throw to a bunch of practice squad WRs who cannot catch an apple in a barrel last week.

Teams are going to start stacking the box so hard, Jonathan Taylor who had those nice running lanes with Wentz opening up the field, those lanes are gone. Defenses are crowding the box, and Jonathan Taylor is running into brick walls.

The Chiefs have a strong front 7, led by Chris Jones up the middle. Jones will hold that O-Line in place and let all the Chiefs defenders gang tackle Jonathan Taylor with no Colts support. Then Matty Ice has to throw, and then the Colts punt. It will be the recipe all game, and JT will find himself out of the game script again, similar to last week. If he does not get a TD early, JT is toast.

CHRISTIAN MCCAFFERY aka 1B

CMC. Run CMC. The guy, “If he is healthy, he is the automatic #1 pick.” Feels like we have heard this phrase about CMC for decades now. Well he is healthy, and while he is putting up soft RB1 numbers which is fine, the Panthers offense is not fine.

Baker Mayfield is always in a panic. Jumping on his feet in place, if his first read is not there I have never seen someone freak out as quickly as Baker. Anderson and Moore are making plays which is good, but the big problem hurts Baker and CMC the most. This Panthers offensive line is really, really, really, bad. It sucks so much, that it almost seems unfair that they are allowed to play in the NFL with this bad of an O-Line. CMC has no space to run anywhere, defenders are in his lap as soon as he touches the ball. While CMC may have a ton of talent, the thing that will keep CMC relevant in Fantasy Football as an RB1, is volume. There are going to be a lot of plays that go nowhere in this Panthers offense.

This week they face their toughest defense yet. A defense that just shutdown Tom Brady, the Saints. Saints are going to be in the Panthers backfield, before Baker even drops back. CMC is going to have a lot of negative plays. Panthers offense will look below average. Punting and turning the ball over all game. If CMC can somehow manage a goal line TD, that would save his day. Still, it is going to be one to forget for his Fantasy Owners.
