FANTASY FOOTBALL BIJAN ROBINSON BUST AGAIN?

Like clockwork, in every single Fantasy Football Draft it is the same Pick #1 and Pick #2. Ja’Marr Chase goes #1/Bijan goes #2. While there is no doubt either player can be the top scoring player of any Fantasy Football Sunday, it is a little crazy to me that Bijan Robinson is the consensus #1 RB in Fantasy Football. Let us start with the facts.

BIJAN ROBINSON BUST OF THE YEAR (2023)

Yes that is an article I wrote Bijan’s Rookie Season, and he was a BUST. Bijan went in the 1st Round of many drafts, many Sheep Experts even said they would take Bijan as the #1 RB over CMC that season. Bijan finished as the #19 RB in Fantasy his Rookie Season, clearly a BUST. My reasoning was Tyler Allgeier is too good to sit on the bench. They also had Cord Patterson who had one hurrah left in the tank.

In 2024 Bijan Robinson was on his way to another BUST season before he finished it off with the easiest schedule anyone could dream of. Out of the last 9 games, 4 of the those teams were competitive while the other were tanking for Cam Ward, or Sanders, or Travis Hunter, the consensus #1 Pick was not settled at the time, but they were all tanking. In that time Bijan exploded with 10 of his 14 TDs. For those who do not do Math, that means he only had 4 rushing TDs in his first 8 games last season!

While those stat lines look amazing, what is hidden between it all is Tyler Allgeier. Easily the most underrated RB in the NFL, Tyler would be the starting RB probably on seven or eight of those teams above. While Tyler’s stat line is not that impressive as far as being useable in Fantasy Football, it is still impressive for a backup RB. Also consider that Tyler lined up on the goal line multiple times and did in fact vulture 2 TDs.

With Bijan Robinson confirming once again that Tyler was going to be a part of this offense, you have to wonder why would people still take Bijan Robinson as the consensus #1 RB. Especially when there are RBs in this years NFL Drafts that are Hall of Famers and have the job’s to themselves!

While I am not doubting that Bijan Robinson will be a Top 10 RB in Fantasy Football, he is much closer to #10 than he is to #1. His talent is out of this world, but his opportunity is still a little caged up to what it could be.
