FANTASY FOOTBALL BEAST OR BUST ELIJAH MITCHELL

FANTASY FOOTBALL BEAST OR BUST

ELIJAH MITCHELL

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

Every season, there is a superstar that emerges out of nowhere with a HUGE Week 1. Every season, everyone rushes to grab that player regardless of their long-term value. This season in 2021, the player so happened to be Elijah Mitchell who came in the game to replace an injured Raheem Mostert. Rushing for 104 Yards + 1 TD, it seems there is something worth being excited over. Or is there?

Heading into the preseason, I had Trey Sermon and Mostert lower than most in my Rankings. During the preseason I started to see why they drafted Sermon with such a high pick, despite having an already great RB in Mostert. Sermon’s body for a RB does not grow on trees. Sermon is a big strong RB who can do all the things Elijah Mitchell can do, but so much better. Maybe Mitchell is faster, but that is all.

In Week 1, Sermon was a surprise scratch. Rest of the season, I doubt that is the case. Mitchell may be the flavor of the Week this Tuesday, but you can almost guarantee next Tuesday or the Tuesday after, he will be back on every waiver wire.
