MUNTRADAMUS PICK OF THE DAY:
A VERY MAD DOG
BEAST DOME NATION.
HR PICKS OF THE DAY COMING THIS AFTERNOON!
The Washington Nationals do one thing for the past 5 years. They dominate the NL. Whether it is the Cubs or whatever other team is fighting in the NL West, the Nationals will always be at the top of the NL East. This season they are just as strong as they have ever been as they only lost Jayson Werth. While Werth was not that small of a loss, the expected improvement from Matt Wieters and the Youth movement of Bryce Harper/Trea Turner may be the best 1-2 punch in the Majors.
Going up against Homer Bailey, a guy who probably not be pitching on nearly 70% of MLB teams is going to try to silence the Nationals bats. That is highly unlikely for a number of reasons, number one reason of all is the Nationals have too much talent and Bailey after all the arm troubles over the years is nowhere near the pitcher he once was.
The Nationals are throwing Scherzer on the mound, arguably the best pitcher in baseball. While the Reds do have some good bats featuring Joey Votto, the Reds do not have enough fire power to score enough runs in this game.
Scherzer is going to get the job done, Bryce Harper is going to hit a HR, the entire Nationals team will hit Homer Bailey.
