The HEDGE Fund is back baby! Nothing like seeing baseball again. With the second half back, it is important to not get too excited out of the gate. Baseball is a timing sport more than anything, all of these players just took basically a week off. With that said there is action I like.

Blue Jays

Jose Berrios is a pitcher who once appeared to be a superstar, is now a guy who gets harder than many like to admit. Berrios has some special stuff, and he is facing a group of hitters that are not familiar with his game against the National League Diamondbacks. D-Backs can hit, and they can cause trouble, but Jose Berrios does have swing and miss stuff, and the D-Backs may be rusty coming off the break.

A big reason I like the Blue Jays tonight is Ryne Nelson is pitching for D-Backs. Nelson has very low-quality junk, and he cannot blow his pitches by these superstar Blue Jays hitters. This will not be batting practice for the Blue Jays, but this might be the next best thing these Blue Jay hitters could wish for.

As much as this game sounds good, rather not take a big hit because like I said about Berrios earlier

“..a guy who gets harder than many like to admit.”

Not willing to take that big of a risk and it is not like the D-Backs cannot hit as they sit at the top of the NL West.

However there is a better way of playing tonight. Let’s wager on the bats being raw and rusty against live pitchers.

Alcantara is a joke at 4.5 Ks. The Orioles only swing and miss. Berrios is pitching really well and he will rack up Ks against the weak back of the order of the D’Backs. Better to go on Blue Jays ML for the game as the Jays bullpen is a lot stronger than the D-Backs who can blow any lead at any moment.
