BEAST DOME NATION.

Each day I will give my daily thoughts of Fantasy Baseball, and something we can all take away.

It is entirely possible your fantasy baseball team is seeing a terrible performance to end the 1st half.  You know what, the timing could not be better.

Teams go through slumps. Today we should analyze the slump of the, “TEXAS RANGERS.” The Rangers were the best team in MLB by the end of June. Everyone felt this team could do no wrong.  Then July has happened and the team is on a 5 game losing streak.  They failed to score more than 1 run against Francisco Liriano Friday, and Travis Blackley last Sunday. They were just murdered 19-2 on Wednesday.  Yet if most of you had $100 to put on one team you thought was going to win the World Series (even-money).  Most of you would have put Texas.

And that is what makes Fantasy Baseball so beautiful..

Because more often than not, usually after the All-Star Break those Mike Napoli (.140 avg) 3/23 slumps come to an end.  Every player goes through cold streaks, the All-Star Break is the best time to get everything together.  First example that comes to my head from last season was Dan Uggla.

Dan Uggla (Before ASB 2011) : (92 Games) 15 HR. 31 RBI. 185 Average.

Dan Uggla (After ASB 2011) : (69 Games) 21 HR. 48 RBI. 296 Average.

He still ended up with 36 HR’s even though his pace had him for 25 Max.  So that is why you should never give up on your fantasy baseball season, no matter what place you are in.  Players do have Fantasy Baseball Market Corrections, and that article will be coming out this weekend.  So Stay Tuned!

BET OF THE DAY (July 7th):

Week 12: 6-1

Week 13: 5-2

Week 14: 2-3

Texas Money Line

Not a lot of great games out there, but this one seems to be a great choice.  Derek Holland is coming off the DL and you can bet he is amped to do what he can to make the Rangers a winning ball team to close out the 1st Half of the season.  Historically he has not been great against Minnesota, but going up against Sam Deduno is not a promising matchup for him.  Texas should get their bats all sharpened up for one last hoorah before we hit the mid-summer classic.
