FANTASY BASEBALL 2020 BUST

KRIS “JENNER” BRYANT

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

There was a time in Baseball less than a few years ago when Kris Bryant was considered an MVP candidate. He showed he can do it all and drove in a ton of RBIs in the process. Last season we saw Kris lose a lot of pop before he switched over to a new type of bat, he ended up saving his season with 31 HRs. While 31 HRs is a fine number that many will not complain about, however Renato Nunez who goes undrafted in most leagues could hit the same amount. There is one problem with Kris Bryant’s game.

That RBI total has not been the same since his days as a Rookie, and it is about to get a whole lot worse as the Cubs announced that Kris Bryant will be the leadoff hitter.

While that does guarantee Kris Bryant will get his 100 Runs no problem, and makes for a fine option in Daily Fantasy Baseball where single and a run is not just another run but the difference between winning and losing matchups. Over the course of a full Roto Fantasy Baseball Season, not getting those RBIs from a key 3B position. You can find yourself in a lot of trouble.

Kris Bryant will be fine in points leagues, and Daily Leagues. In Roto, look for a 3B who can get you those key RBIs, because even though Bryant has shown over a full season 70 RBIs is his Floor. Now that he is batting leadoff for a Cubs team that will likely give him nobody on base. 70 RBIs would be his ceiling if he stays as a leadoff hitter all season long.
