Daily Pitcher Rankings (April 26th)

By Muntradamus

Picking 1 Lock pick a day has worked, 2-0 since the decision.  Ricky Porcello will make to look it 3.

Hector Santiago as I called it came into the 9th, and blew the save.  What else would you expect from him?

Still undefeated with my Bench’em picks for the week.

WEEK 4 Articles:

Monday: 5 Falling Player Values

Sunday: That Shh’ Bay – Weekly Waiver Wire

Saturday: Pitcher Trade Market

Thursday 4/26
(All Records are for the week)

HITTER PICK OF THE DAY: (1-2) 2-12, 2B, RBI

Carlos Pena vs. LAA – When Pena is hot, he is hot.  I like his chances against Jerome Williams.

Monday: Mike Moustakas vs. Tor – (2-4) 2B
Tuesday: Cody Ross @ Min- (0-4) RBI

Wednesday: Matt Holliday @ CHC – (0-4)

Sleeper of the Day: (1-2) 13.2 INN. 13 ER. 8 Ks. 0 W

*A QS or W= Win
*A Bad Start or Loss= Loss

Felix Doubront @ CWS – Doubront has what it takes to slow down a White Sox team that really has a hot Paul Konerko and thats it.  The Red Sox offense should carry him.

Monday: Jair Jurrjens @ LAD – 3 INN. 5 ER. O Ks

Tuesday: Bud Norris @ Mil- 5.2 INN. 7 ER. 6 Ks

Wednesday: Bronson Arroyo vs. SF – 6 INN. 1 ER. 2 Ks

Guess That Save of the Day: (2-1)

Longest Streak= 3W.    Current Streak= 1L.

Huston Street vs. Was – I expect Jackson and Volquez to duel, with Street getting an easy save.

Mon: Francisco Cordero @ KC (S) – I expect Chen to keep the score close enough where Cordero will have to come in and save the game.  Twice in two days.
Tues: Henry Rodriguez @ SD (S) – Gio will outpitch Richard, which in return will lead to a H-Rod save.  Keep my two game streak alive.

Wed: Hector Santiago @ Oak (BS)- Not guaranteed he will convert the save, but I expect Sale and Parker to make the game close enough where he will be needed.  I will try to get my longest streak of the season, last time I was at three games was the first three games to start the season.

Locks: (2-2)
*Anything but a Win, is a loss for my record.

1. Ricky Porcello vs. Sea – Porcello will show everyone his start against the Rangers last weekend was a fluke.

Start’em: (11-3)

*A QS or W= Win
*A Bad Start or Loss= Loss

2. Matt Moore vs. LAA  – The D-Ray offense should do enough to make up for Matt Moore’s pitching mistakes.  If he makes them.

3. Edinson Volquez vs. Was – Volquez can definitely get his 1st win of the season against a weak Nationals offense.

50/50: (62-14)
*A QS or ND = Win.
*A Loss or Bad Start = A loss.

4. Edwin Jackson @ SD – Should be a W, but we have seen Edwin blowup before in occasions where it seems like a lock.

5. Ricky Nolasco @ NYM – The Mets offense is not doing much, but neither is the Marlins.

6. Homer Bailey vs. SF – The Giants offense has some hot hitters, but should not be too much of a threat.

7. Jonathan Niese vs. Mia – Miami has no hot hitters, I expect a ND.

8. Ryan Vogelsong @ Cin – This will be a big game for Vogel, if he can deal then he gains some street cred.

9. Luis Mendoza @ Cle – Cleveland has a good underrated offense.

10. Philip Humber vs. Bos – The real test if he can slow down the red hot Boston team.

11. Josh Tomlin vs. KC – The Royals have a hot Eric Hosmer and Mike Moustakas.

12. Brian Matusz vs. Tor – Hard to trust Brian yet with how bad he has pitched all season.

Bench’em:
(6-0)
*A Loss for the SP=a win for my record.
*A Win for the SP= a loss for my record.
*IF NO WIN/LOSS=QS is a Loss for my record.  Bad Start is a Win for my record.

13. Hector Noesi vs. Det – It feels like so many of the Tiger players are about to explode.

14. Jerome Williams @ TB – The D-Rays are one of the hottest hitting teams in the AL.

15. Daniel Hutchinson vs. Bal – The Orioles have enough offense to do damage against Hutch.
