BEAST THE ODD$
(WHAT CAN BROWN DO FOR YOU?)
BEAST DOME NATION.
I have been a Bruce Brown character in my lifetime. It was an adult league. I was on a Championship team where I was nothing more than a role player who came off the bench and just made sure the offense was flowing and I would make some big plays. I won the Championship, my ego wanted more.
The next season I left the Championship team to play for a team where I could be one of the stars. Sure I lost a lot more games, but I was able to put up All-Star stats as the guy. Terrell Owens was on the same All-Star team as me that year. That is exactly what Bruce Brown went through leaving the Nuggets for the Pacers, and now he is on a trashy Raptors team that is far removed from the days of LeBronto.
With RJ Barrett out, with Immanuel Quickley out, the Raptors need Bruce Brown to be a star, something he only dreamed of. With the Pacers he had some flashes in the pan, but that team was realizing they have way too much talent and Brown was back to his casual role player self. On the Raptors, they need him to run up and down the court 100mph. Not only that, he plays nearly the entire game with this current lineup as he saw 37 minutes last game.
Vegas is not giving him his respect thinking he will play around his averages. In a matchup against the Bulls where they will need him to rebound and be a primary ball handler when he is in the game, he is due to just fall into numbers.
Vegas has his numbers set at 22.5 for his Points + Assists + Rebounds. Take the over. Bruce Brown is going to be like prime Russell Westbrook who can barely dunk. Ball will be in his hands often and he will be hustling for the ball knowing this is his time to shine.
The reason it is better to take his rebound + assist with his points instead of anything individually. The ball will be in his hands frequently, he will be hustling for rebounds. He can score at any moment. He can get an assist or a rebound at any moment. This way you can root for it all knowing he will do it all.
