When a player is hot in the NBA, he is feeling it. I remember as a player when I was doing amazing, like scoring 13 Points in a half court game being guarded by Lakers Metta World Peace, while he was an active player waiting for the Lakers to call him, which they did. I was pumped and excited to come back out there and do amazing again the next opportunity I had. What Jalen Green is doing right now, will make Houston forget all about James Harden if they just allow Jalen Green to be the SGA of the Rockets offense.

The only reason Jalen Green is not setting records right now, is because the Rockets have too many selfish players. Sengun thinks he can take on real big men, Vanvleet has short-man syndrome and feels like he has to prove he can still score, and Dillon Brooks has more confidence than anyone with the skill level of Dillon Brooks should have. Jabari Smith is overhyped, show me a great game of his where he actually had to create nearly all of his buckets on his own.

You know who is not overhyped. Jalen Green. Green has been amazing over last 5 games averaging over 30 Points a game if you take out his one game against Mikal Bridges on the road (19 Points). Bridges is shutting down nearly every star in the game these days so no big surprise Jalen struggled, especially on the road.

What makes Jalen even better is he has become an aggressive rebounder. With the way the Raptors in town and running their offense so spread out with different players that can score, that leaves a lot of opportunities for Jalen Green to come skying in for rebounds, something he has become aggressive doing. Sengun is being exposed for being too small, just don’t tell Anthony Davis that. Before last game, Jalen had 10+ Rebounds in 3 Straight games!

Last game against the Pelicans. Jalen scored 20 Points with 2 Rebounds and 1 Assist in the 1st Half. The Pelicans were not missing anything, and anytime Jalen passed the ball the Rocket player missed the shot. Those numbers should have been much higher. In the 3rd Quarter Jalen dominated nearly bringing the Rockets back into the game scoring another 8 Points to give him 28 in 3 quarters. In the 4th Quarter, Vanvleet decided he was going to be the go-to guy, and while he did score some buckets, he does not bring the energy Jalen brings. Rockets lost big and Jalen finished with 31-4-4. I predicted he would have a total of 40 in his last game.

Jalen remains at home, he is the hottest player in the game, and his numbers will continue to reflect that as the Raptors have no big man to stop his drives, and no guards that can keep him with him on defense or have nearly the same strength if he drives. The only thing that has me worried about Jalen is if Vanvleet and his little ego trying to do too much against his old Raptors team. Even so, there is enough ball to go around and Jalen will need to get his.
