BEAST DOME #THROWBACKTHURSDAY

10 PLAYERS THAT WILL BUST YOUR DRAFT (2020)

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

We are now at the 1/4 point of what has been an exciting Fantasy Football season that looks safe for the landing to finish no problems at all. Always a concern, but Roger Goodell has done a great job keeping this great game alive for us. NFL has already said they can do Week 18/19/20 if they need to in order to adjust to Covid-19.

This preseason before the NFL season started. I wrote an article about 10 guys that will BUST your Draft. While it is too early for anything to be official, let alone brag, let us at least take a look on how we are doing.

#1 CEH (Current Top 15 RB 1 POINT PPR)

CEH through one month of the season is doing fine, but he is not outstanding and he definitely would not be a top fantasy option at all if it was not for playing with the Chiefs. If you put CEH on the Jaguars, he will be forgotten in a few years. The Chiefs just got Le’Veon Bell, and guess what CEH owners, Bell is a lot better than CEH and there will be no looking back. Chiefs are in it to win a Super Bowl this year, CEH is not their guy. Even before it is official it is obvious the Chiefs overhyped the rookie. CEH owners can complain, “oh he got lucky because Bell signed with KC.” Truth is, CEH did not do enough to prevent the Chiefs from making this move.

#2 DJ MOORE (#25 WR)

Finally DJ Moore was able to put up a nice game with his first TD of the season in the 5th game. A guy that everyone wasted a 3rd round pick as I projected. It is clear that Bridgewater does not see Moore as his go-to WR. Right now that role goes to Robby Anderson, and once CMC returns the targets will keep getting less and less for Moore. Mike Davis is already showing us what it will be like for Moore when CMC returns. We can even see CMC and Davis in more of a RBBC role, and when either one is in the game they will always get the look before Moore.

*BONUS CMC

Looking good before the injury, but I warned about the injury this preseason. CMC may never be the same and even though he was definitely a 1st Round Pick, he was not the BEAST DOME #1 RB.

#3 JONATHAN TAYLOR (#13 RB)

This one did not pan out. Though it was a nice assist for his season when Marlon Mack went down in the 1st Quarter after obviously looking like the stud he was a year ago. Jonathan Taylor will end up being a good pick, but this is the same as buying a Rookie Card of a backup QB, who somehow gets the start because the starting QB got injured. No skill in taking Taylor in the 3rd or 4th Round of your Fantasy Draft, pure luck that the circumstance worked in his favor. Not overly impressed with his game, more impressed with his O-Line.

#4 JOSH ALLEN (#4 QB)

So far, so good. However look at his first four games. Jets/Dolphins/Rams/Raiders. Rams secondary is really not that good, and don’t spit numbers at me because numbers are for fools. Anytime anyone plays the Giants/Redskins in back-2-back games that team better rank high in defense. Allen has had an easy schedule so far, but the schedule will only get tough from here. Yes, Allen has the makings to be this year’s Lamar Jackson, but Allen is still being a turnover machine which is the problem with him. Even in the juicy matchups.

#5 TYLER HIGHBEE (#11 TE)

One amazing game with 3 TDs. 4 games when he plays like a TE2. Exactly what I predicted as with Evertt healthy, the two are switching off way too often on who is more involved in the gameplan. In the end, both are shutting eachother out, and both are TE2 at best at the moment.

#6 DJ CHARK (#30 WR)

One good game from Chark, and now it looks like Chark is definitely going to be a huge BUST. Minshew has zero favorites in the passing game, in fact the favorite might be LVS who Minshew loves to checkdown to. With even guys like Keelan Cole outperforming Chark on most weeks this season, Chark is looking like an easy BUST candidate.

#7 NICK CHUBB (#25 RB)

Injury helped me here on this call, but the split between Kareem Hunt has been way too equal to justify a 2nd round pick for a RB in a RBBC. Hunt and Chubb were just about even in the stat category before the injury, and now with Chubb set to miss a chunk of time. This pick will solidify itself as true.

#8 AARON JONES (#4 RB)

So far not correct. However the big reason I stated on Aaron Jones was look at his stats when Davante Adams was healthy. Jones was playing like a RB2. Adams went down Week 2, and Jones has never looked back in 2020. The season is still young and trust me I would bank on Jones value declining now that Adams is healthy. However so far, not so good call here. I have faith the RBBC in GB is going to start coming more and more alive now that the Packers realize they are playing for the Super Bowl and they need to keep Jones healthy during the regular season.

#9 LAMAR JACKSON (#13 QB)

Lamar went in the 2nd Round of all drafts. He is the #13 QB and it is not looking pretty for the former MVP. He only has 6 Passing TDs and 2 INTs in his last 4 games, with only 1 Rushing TD. He is barely throwing the ball as the Ravens are running hard to protect that secondary from going on the field, and he just does not look great where he probably will not have a 300 Yard Passing game all season. Season is still young, but this is not how Lamar owners wanted it to start. Josh Allen is a better QB to own than Lamar Jackson rest of the season, and that is not what Lamar owners drafted him to hear.

#10 JK DOBBINS (#35 RB)

Dobbins is playing like a Waiver Wire RB more than a Fantasy RB. Ravens have ruined their entire RBBC as no option is safe, however Dobbins appears to be the least safe. The only way Dobbins changes his season around is if Ingram or Gus Edwards get injured. Not great odds to bank on something like that. Dobbins will be on every Wavier Wire sooner than later, and he will stay there.
