AL ROOKIE OF THE YEAR 2026 (VOL. II) Munetaka Murakami

A week ago, I suggested that you take your money and put it on Munetaka to win AL Rookie of the Year as he was on the verge of returning from the IL after missing 6 weeks. His odds were +750 to win AL ROY on the MGM betting site. One week later, Munetaka has raised his popularity to levels that no Rookie has in a long time, maybe Aaron Judge.
Murakami ended up making the AL All-Star team as a reserve, which he deserved with his 20 HRs in two months of action. Most important, Murakami ended up in the HR Derby. While he did not advance to the second round, he had a nice showing hitting a HR on nearly 50% of his swings including some amazing tower power shots. The popularity of Munetaka, and the likeability of him continues to rise as he is always smiling and very humble. Global superstar not yet, but he is definitely turning into an Ohtani type figure, especially if the White Sox are playing baseball in October.
Right now his odds are +450 on Kalshi, still great odds for him to win AL ROY. Kevin Mcgonigle really is not doing much at all that is exciting. Sure he made the All-Star team as a reserve also, but finishing the season with less than 20 HR and less than 30 SB, both which will happen, is nothing special. Murakami is looking healthy and he can easily surpass 30 HRs in the next 2.5 months of the MLB season, in fact I will say he finishes closer to 40 HRs. Most important of all, the White Sox who were supposed to finish in dead last are currently in the MLB playoff picture, which alone is going to raise the stock of Mr. Tokyo Power.
MLB Season will continue on BEAST DOME this week.
