FANTASY FOOTBALL INTO THE JARED VERSE (BUST)

The biggest move of all moves this offseason, had to be when the Browns exchanged Myles Garrett for a package to the Rams involving Jared Verse. With the Rams, Jared Verse was putting up some nice numbers and looked like a young exciting pass rusher that the Rams can lean on. Despite how good he looked, or any of the big plays he’s made on primetime TV, he only has 12 Sacks spread out across two full seasons. Myles Garrett can get that total amount of sacks by Week 12 this season.

Despite the fact that Verse has not been that impressive, “IDP” experts are saying that Verse is the truth and worth rostering in most leagues with a Rank of #18 at the DL position. The reality is, Jared Verse is not going to see a boost in production playing for the Browns.

The best advantage of playing for the Rams as a defender is the opposing team is likely to throw the ball a lot since you will need to score points in bunches to beat that team. With the Cleveland Browns, teams can basically run out the clock the entire second half. There will be fewer sack opportunities with the Browns, and fewer opportunities means smaller sack numbers for Jared Verse.

I finished #2 in IDP Rankings in 2025, I feel I have found the recipe and the truth is all the Sheep are ranking these guys completely wrong. For example the Sheep have Abdul Carter at 4 Sacks and 25 tackles in 2025 as the #20 DL. He looked completely lost as a Rookie, there is no way he gets 10+ Sacks as a Sophmore, and there are at least 39 better DL options in my opinon, including Jared Verse.
