FREE WILLI: WILLI CASTRO FANTASY BASEBALL SLEEPER (2026)

FREE WILLI: WILLI CASTRO FANTASY BASEBALL SLEEPER (2026)
By Muntradamus
BEAST DOME NATION.
Every year in fantasy baseball there is at least one player who finally gets everyday playing time and suddenly turns into a stud.
For years the Minnesota Twins had a roster full of versatile players who could move all over the field. While that flexibility helped the team, it also meant certain players never got the consistent playing time they deserved.
One of those players was Willi Castro.
Castro would occasionally flash his potential. Line drives into the gaps. Triples smashing off the right field wall in Minnesota. Every time he played you could see the same thing.
This guy just needed a real opportunity.
In 2026 he finally has it.
Castro now finds himself on the Colorado Rockies, and if there is one place where fantasy value explodes, it is Colorado.
Yes, the Rockies are a mess of a team. You think the Angels struggle? Colorado has been on another level of bad. But in fantasy baseball, bad teams can still produce huge individual numbers.
Just look at Hunter Goodman. Heading into 2025 he was barely on anyone’s radar. Now he looks like a legitimate 30 plus home run bat. Was it a fluke? Maybe, but as long as he is on the Rockies there is always upside.
Willi Castro could be the next version of that breakout.
His career high season came in 2024 when he posted 12 home runs and 14 stolen bases while playing most of the year in Minnesota’s pitcher friendly ballpark.
Now imagine those numbers in Colorado.
Coors Field has boosted hitters for decades. Balls carry further. Gaps turn into triples. Routine fly balls turn into home runs.
With everyday playing time, Castro’s numbers could easily jump.
2026 Projection
If Castro plays a full season in Colorado, this is a realistic fantasy projection:
.268 Batting Average
24 Home Runs
25 Stolen Bases
88 Runs
71 RBI
That type of stat line gives you a legitimate 20 home run / 20 stolen base player, which is incredibly valuable in fantasy baseball.
Even better, Castro qualifies at multiple positions. He already carries eligibility at second base, third base, and outfield. In deeper leagues that flexibility becomes a huge advantage when injuries start piling up during the season.
And yet, he is going undrafted in many leagues.
When I looked through the second base rankings on FantasyPros, Castro was not even listed inside the Top 30 options by many so called experts.
That is exactly how fantasy leagues are won.
You find the player nobody is paying attention to.
The Rockies will probably finish in last place.
But Willi Castro might finish first place on your fantasy roster.
Why Willi Castro Is a Fantasy Baseball Sleeper
Fantasy baseball sleepers are players who dramatically outperform their draft position. Willi Castro fits that description perfectly.
He is going undrafted in most leagues, yet he has a clear path to everyday playing time in Colorado. With Coors Field boosting offense and Castro’s ability to contribute both power and speed, he has the potential to return massive value.
Players who can reach the 20 home run and 20 stolen base milestone are extremely valuable in fantasy baseball. If Castro reaches that level while being drafted outside the top 250 players, he becomes one of the best late round picks in the entire draft.
Coming soon will be the BEAST DOME Fantasy Baseball Draft Guide which will unlock all the sleepers at all the positions giving you the best chance to dominate your Fantasy Baseball league.
