There we all were watching Monday Night Football thinking, what will the Commanders RB room look like if they really get rid of Brian Robinson Jr. The Commanders do not have great RBs, Ekeler is over the hill, McNicholos is a backup RB at best, Chris Rodriguez is hardly good enough to be a starting RB, but then out of nowhere on Bill Croskey’s first carry, he had an easy hole that he cut to the outside and went untouched for a TD.
The Fantasy world went crazy and now Croskey is being drafted as a RB3 across all Fantasy Leagues. Besides that one run, which was really not that impressive, Trent Richardson on the Raiders could have found that hole, Croskey did nothing.
The Sheep always Sheep when a Rookie RB does anything spectacular during the preseason, now TreVeyon Henderson is being drafted in the 3rd Round because of a TD he scored against second stringers when Stevenson did not even play. Same with Harvey when he was not even the best RB the Broncos put on the field.
Back to the topic, Bill Croskey. Is he the real deal? No. He is not top speed, he is not top strength, he is a little undersized and very inexperienced. Hard to say what the Commanders are doing, they want to run more of a spread offense instead of a power offense, but that mentality is not how you win Football games when you have the lead late, unless they really trust Jayden Daniels that much, which they do. Hard not to blame the Commanders for that.
End of the day, do not Draft Bill Croskey. It is a RBBC (Running Back By Committee) at best for the Commanders. Who will lead the way, it is too early to say, but my money IS NOT on Bill Croskey who is quietly becoming the Most Dangerous Man in Fantasy Football, and not for a good reason, for the reason that he will BUST your Fantasy Football Team. Well not really since you are Drafting him late, but he will likely end up on your Waiver Wire causing you to waste a value draft pick. Let the Sheep, Sheep.
