COLSTON LOVELAND BEAST OR BUST

BEAST DOME NATION.

The Bears with the #10 Pick selected Colston Loveland. After watching tape on him, he looks like what Dalton Kincaid and Travis Kelce wish they are. The only problem is Cole Kmet is a good TE and the only reason he has not performed like one is because of opportunity. With the Bears adding Colston Loveland, that immedaitely shuts down any love for Kmet.

Loveland is fast, he is big, and from his highlights has amazing hands. With Keenan Allen not returning, the Bears need someone to step up and become relevant, Loveland has the size and speed to be an additional slot WR for Caleb Williams opposite of DJ Moore when Bears go heavy pass packages.

While I do like Loveland as a player, I am not in love with his situation as far as Fantasy goes in 2025. The Bears have a lot of mouthes to feed, they are also learning a new system with Ben Johnson coming in. Good for the Bears to learn a good system, but as far as Loveland becoming a contributor right out of the gates is not going to be an easy road. Loveland does offer TJ Hockenson/Sam LaPorta upside right out of the gate for the Bears, but like I said earlier you cannot completely sleep on Cole Kmet.

BUST

Loveland is not going to be a TE1 this season in Fantasy Football, and he may not even be TE2 material. The talent is there, the situation is not. Loveland will be a fun player to monitor through the years when he gets every rep on the field. Until then he is off my radar, but I will definitely scout closely this preseason to get some sort of idea how the Bears are going to use Loveland.
