We have all seen the commercials leading up to this game. NFL Network writers taking cheap shots at the Broncos calling them Ponies. The Broncos were on verge of their season being over, before their defense has stepped up and become a Defense that no offense can do anything against. They have won 2 straight games because of it. In comes the Cover of Madden, Patrick Mahomes.

So far this season Patrick Mahomes has not been putting up historic stats. Which makes this video really come true early on. First video I produced this season.

Granted this video was with the idea that Tyreek Hill was suspended for the season. Still amazing he is out there, and his catch last week on the 60 Yard TD not only saved his week, but it also saved Mahomes who has looked anything but his usual self.

Why are the Chiefs struggling this season in the passing game?

Defenses know Mahomes wants to take the big shots, and they are all playing prevent dearing Mahomes to be a checkdown QB. The Broncos will likely have Chris Harris being very physical with Tyreek Hill, and a saftey has to be over the top. Travis Kelce always tears up the Broncos, and this week we should see no different. The Broncos will surrender the quick throws to Kelce over the middle, rather than gamebreaker plays to Hardman/Hill and Robinson. Look for Mahomes to throw a lot of swing passes to his RBs, and look for the Chiefs to finally be smart and not try to hit Homeruns every single drive. You know the Broncos will be playing physical on Primetime TV, they have been doing it the last two weeks and shutdown both the Chargers and the Titans.

The Broncos on offense are going to do what everyone is doing to the Chiefs. Running the ball and keeping Mahomes off the field. The Chiefs Run D is dealing with some serious injuries, and Philip Lindsay will be running very hard for every yard. The Chiefs could struggle easily, and when they do they will leave Emmanuel Sanders and Courtland Sutton one on one, do not be surprised to see Flacco take his deep shots with confidence.

Very very surprisingly, the Broncos can stay in this game and potentially pull out the W. They are at home, Mahomes is struggling, his offensive line is beat up, the running game is not really a threat. In order for Mahomes to win this game, he has to be patient. In the end, it would be too amazing of a victory for the Broncos, but it is possible.
