Fantasy Football Busts: A Raven Without A Wing Vol. II (Week 14)

Fantasy Football Busts:

A Raven Without A Wing Vol. II (Week 14)

BEAST DOME NATION.

Last time the Raven without a wing came out, both Torrey and Joe Flacco were doing nothing against the Chargers defense all game.  But then after Flacco picked up 30 Yards on a 4th and 29 to Ray Rice.  Joe and Torrey hooked up consistently in OT for over 50 Yards alone.  Needless to say, the game was saved for them.

Week 14, here are players that I would not trust with my season on the line based on the Expert Consensus Rankings.  Thursday Night I dominated the Rankings with Darrius Heyward-Bey, Darren McFadden ranked way higher than the field that predicted both as Busts.

*All Rankings Will Be Finalized Saturday Night in the Updated Rankings above.

JOE FLACCO – QB – BAL

MUNTRADAMUS QB RANK: #21
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #16

Joe Flacco is not a QB I would really want going for me in the first place if I had a fantasy playoff game this week.  When you tell me it’s on the road, there is no way I throw Mighty Joe against Washington.  Even though Washington has shown leaky coverage’s at time, there is no reason to think Ray Rice is not going to be the go-to-guy in the run game as often as the Ravens can.

FRANK GORE – RB – SF

MUNTRADAMUS RB RANK: #23
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #13

While Gore is doing just fine in this Kaepernick system, playing a defense like the Dolphins is maybe the worst thing for a more powerful than speed type of RB.  The Dolphins feast on 4 yard plunge RBs like Frank.  Frank will need to save his day with a TD, because I don’t see the yards being there.

C.J. SPILLER – RB – BUF

MUNTRADAMUS RB RANK: #26
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #10

While C.J. is capable of performing like a Top 5 RB every week because of his speed alone.  His speed alone will not keep Fred Jackson off the field who is the real RB of this team.  While C.J. is explosive and is no doubt the future, Fred Jackson is the Present.  He runs hard, he wear downs the defense, and the Bills have no problem feeding F-Jax in the redzone.  High-Risk/High-Reward, either way he will not kill your fantasy day.  Just not a top 10 RB.

TORREY SMITH – WR – BAL

MUNTRADAMUS WR RANK: #34
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #17

These two have made the CALLS OF THE WEEK LIST.  They have made the BUST list for the 3rd time together.  While Torrey can easily get a 60 Yard TD and make his fantasy owners jump in joy.  He can also fail to the inconsistent arm of Joe Flacco on the road.  Like I said about Joe.

Look for the Ravens to count on Sugar Ray Rice more than Joe to beat RGIII.

T.Y. HILTON – WR – IND

MUNTRADAMUS WR RANK: #43
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #27

Andrew Luck is dominating the game as a rookie.

Which means he is going to eventually get Reggie Wayne going like he has for Avery and Hilton as of late in the endzone.  With Coby Fleener also healthy and possibly being a higher priority option than Avery, who is just about even with Hilton.  This situation gets very messy, and I did not even mention Dwayne Allen.

Start at your own Risk.  T.Y. is similar Torrey Smith with a better QB, but less targets.

DENNIS PITTA – TE – BAL

MUNTRADAMUS TE RANK: #26
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #18

Last week I came I pulled out a Top 10 TE Expert performance.  My weakness all season.

This week I am continuing the Raven without a Wing Phase with Dennis hold the Pitta.  You can read Flacco and Torrey Smith above to learn why.

BLAIR WALSH – K – MIN

MUNTRADAMUS K RANK: #23
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #14

Christian Ponder and the Adrian Peterson offense will be Boom or Bust all day.  Either AP is going to BEAST for an 80 yard TD, or you are going to see Christian Ponder play like a backup QB with no Percy Harvin.

BENGALS – D/ST – CIN

MUNTRADAMUS D/ST RANK: #17
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #8

Sure the Bengals have a good pass rush and Dallas is not known for it’s O-Line.

But it’s still the Dallas Cowboys, a team that put up points with the best of them when they get going.  Do yourself a favor and find a better defense than trusting Cincy in your big playoff matchup.
