MUNTRADAMUS 2015

NFL SEASON PREDICTION

(Year of the BEAST)

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

2013 Results were spot on as I predicted Seattle vs. Denver, with Seattle winning it all.

2014 (4/6 AFC Playoff Teams correct) (4/6 NFC Playoff Teams correct) Superbowl matchup DEN vs. SEA. Denver winning.

With that, let us jump onto the 2015 NFL Predictions.

I WILL BE LIVE IN CHAT ROOM

9:00am PST – 9:30am PST

AFC EAST

PATRIOTS (15-1) *1 Seed

DOLPHINS (11-5) *5 Seed

BILLS (10-6)

JETS (8-8)

The toughest division in the NFL, all of these teams have playoff potential.

Patriots offense may be unstoppable this season the way they looked on opening night. Defense raises question marks.

Dolphins have the best team on paper, but can that actually translate on the field. Look for Tannehill to be the guy who needs to carry them.

Bills have the Defense to be in the Superbowl. Offense, kind of not. Defense wins Championships, so they say.

Jets are the most underrated team in the AFC, it is too bad they play in tough AFC East as they just fall out of the playoffs with a tough loss in Week 17 to the Bills.

AFC NORTH

STEELERS (9-7) *4 Seed

BENGALS (9-7)

RAVENS (8-8)

BROWNS (1-15)

AFC North has three teams that are completely even, and the worst team in the AFC.

Steelers should sit pretty in the Standings around Week 10. The key is can they finish out their tough end of season schedule.

Bengals should be much and improved with AJ Green in a contract year. Everything falls on the inconsistent Andy Dalton, I say he comes short.

Ravens are an injury away to Justin Forsett for things to really spiral out for the Ravens. The defense is getting older and the offense is as well.

Browns offense is a minor league offense. Secondary is lethal, but that will not be enough to win many games when the offense cannot score a point.

AFC SOUTH

COLTS (11-5) *2 Seed

TEXANS (9-7)

JAGUARS (3-13)

TITANS (3-13)

AFC South has been ran by the Colts the last couple of seasons, things will likely stay the same.

Colts offense will put up points, big question is O-Line. Defense is strong this season, but health already a concern.

Texans need Arian Foster back to win the big games. The key stretch run of the season will determine if they make the Playoffs.

Jaguars have a very tough start of schedule. The tough start will lead to a sour finish when it is all said and done.

Titans clearly in rebound mode with Mariota learning with no true running game. Titans Defense will not win many games for them.

AFC WEST

BRONCOS (10-6) *3 Seed

CHARGERS (10-6) *6 Seed

RAIDERS (8-8)

CHIEFS (5-11)

AFC West will still go through Denver in what could be the last season of Peyton Manning.

Denver has the tools and the system to win games, key is Peyton down the stretch and him not breaking down. Defense will win them games as well.

Chargers offense much improved with Gordon and Stevie Johnson. Defense has some problems, but that offense will win games.

Raiders looking for big jump in improvement this season. Carr and Murray along with Cooper look to make this offense dynamic, Aldon Smith and Khalil Mack will make a lot of plays.

Chiefs will be lucky if Jamaal Charles gets through the first two weeks healthy. If he survives Houston and Denver, Chiefs could sneak to 8-8 but that offense has never been that great.

1st Round

 CHARGERS @ BRONCOS

Broncos took care of the Chargers during the regular season, they will do it again at home in the playoffs. Broncos advance.

DOLPHINS @ STEELERS

Steelers Defense not good enough to contain the Dolphins offense. Dolphins advance.

2nd Round

DOLPHINS @ PATRIOTS

Last matchup the Dolphins wanted. Tom Brady has the Dolphins number and wipes them out easy. Patriots advance.

BRONCOS @ COLTS

Peyton returning to Indy in a HUGE playoff rematch from a season ago. Once again, the Colts win that game. This time in Indy. Colts advance.

AFC CHAMPIONSHIP

COLTS @ PATRIOTS

Home Field is a huge advantage in the Deflategate game all over again. Patriots come to play and the Colts offensive line cannot contain Chandler Jones. LeGarrette Blount runs all over the Colts again while Brady picks the secondary apart.

AFC CHAMPION

PATRIOTS

AFC MVP

Tom Brady

AFC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

J.J. Watt

AFC ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

Melvin Gordon

NFC EAST

EAGLES (10-6) *4 Seed

COWBOYS (8-8)

GIANTS (5-11)

REDSKINS (2-14)

NFC East is turning into a 2 team division very quickly.

The Eagles should be very nice with Bradford and Murray running the new system, Ryan Mathews helps as well. Defense just has to bend and not break.

Cowboys have zero running game this season, Dez needs to have an amazing year. Defense has players, but they also have a hole in their secondary.

Giants have no defense and their offense has not looked good this preseason. Expect things to turnaround sooner than later.

Redskins are a joke of an organization. The fact they are keeping RGIII in the locker room is a huge distraction

NFC NORTH

PACKERS (12-4) *2 Seed

LIONS (12-4) * 5 Seed

VIKINGS (7-9)

BEARS (4-12)

Packers run the North year after year, things will sort of change in the fact that the Lions can take it, but the Packers should find a way to continue tradition.

Aaron Rodgers will be good no matter who he has at WR. Time for Eddie Lacy to have a big season. Defense will be fine, secondary needs to get healthy.

This is the year of Stafford and Megatron, year 2 of Lombardi system should mean big things. Defense always remains strong.

AP will be the man for the Vikings, but their offense at times will not score enough points. Vikings Defense is good, but it is not going to shutdown every team.

Bears have a lot of health issues at WR, and their defense is not looking strong at all despite some good names.

NFC SOUTH

FALCONS (11-5) *3 Seed

SAINTS (9-7)

PANTHERS (6-10)

BUCCANEERS (6-10)

The conference that is always up for grabs.

Falcons under new coach Dan Quinn will bring another level of defense to the table. Matt Ryan has the options to BEAST in the passing game, this is their season.

Drew Brees will have to do a lot with very few tools, the trio of RBs will need to carry team. Saints Defense needs to get healthy quick.

Cam Newton looks lost on offense, needs to find a new favorite tool quickly. Defense remains strong, that unit will have to win them games.

Bucs will win more than they expect under rookie Jameis Winston. He will get it together and the schedule is favorable. Defense will let them down a lot.

NFC WEST

SEAHAWKS (15-1) *1 Seed

CARDINALS (10-6) *6 Seed

49ERS (6-10)

RAMS (6-10)

NFC West will continue to belong to Seattle as this is the weakest Division in the NFL.

Marshawn Lynch and Jimmy Graham will give the Seahawks an offense they have never had. Defense is not the same, but the offense will carry them.

Carson Palmer and his knee is what the team balances on. Tough last three games of season will be big test. Defense lost a lot of key players.

49ers will not be in the Superbowl despite hosting it. Kaepernick did not appear to grow this offseason, the defense does not look exciting as well.

Rams Defense looks lost as a unit, they need to pick it up in order to win games. Nick Foles will certainly not pickup the slack.

1st Round

 CARDINALS @ EAGLES

The game of the birds. Eagles offense will do too much and I do not expect Palmer to be there in the end. Eagles advance.

LIONS @ FALCONS

Shootout city, game ends with the team that can run the ball. Lions advance.

2nd Round

LIONS @ SEAHAWKS

Marshawn Lynch and Jimmy Graham are too much. Being at home helps a lot as well in this situation. Seahawks advance.

EAGLES @ PACKERS

Packers offense cannot put up enough points in this one. Eagles offense is too quick and scores too many points. Eagles advance.

NFC CHAMPIONSHIP

 EAGLES @ SEAHAWKS

Round 2 of the Birds. Seahawks front 7 is strong enough to stop the Eagles no huddle. Eagles cannot contain Marshawn Lynch if they tried.

NFC CHAMPION

 SEAHAWKS

NFC MVP

Marshawn Lynch

NFC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Kiko Alonso

NFC ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

Jameis Winston

SUPERBOWL 50

PATRIOTS vs. SEAHAWKS (@SF)

Rematch of last Superbowl goes Seattle way early with Marshawn Lynch doing whatever he wants like DeAngelo Williams did to the Patriots on Thursday Night.

Patriots get their action in the air with a downgraded Seahawks secondary.

In the end, running the football and defense wins Championships.

SUPERBOWL MVP

MARSHAWN LYNCH

SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONS

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

  1. Munt, LOVE the articles, thanks for your help – you’re a huge reason I won my league for the first time ever last year. I’m a broke college student this year and next, but look for my VIP package in 2017!!! BEAST ON!

  2. Munt, I love your analysis but your predictions of 15-1 for both pats and seahawks is extremely overboard. Both teams will lose 3-4 games a piece. Pats secondary is horrible. Seahawks have already lost a game and will need time for their offensive line to gel. I also wouldn’t be surprised if denver wins less than 10 games as well.
