FANTASY PLAYER WATCH: AHMAD BRADSHAW
After following Ahmad Bradshaw the last two weeks without Brandon Jacobs a lot of red flags have come up for the 3rd round fantasy football RB.
Lets take a journey back to Bradshaw the past two weeks.
Week 5: He has a great matchup against the helpless underrated Seahawks defense. Should easily be a big game for Bradshaw.
He only gets 17 carries for 58 yards. Giants manage to put up all their points through the air.
Week 6: Another great matchup against Buffalo turnover happy defense.
He finally gets that great game 26 carries 104 yards 3 Touchdowns. Everything is great right? Wrong!
All three of those touchdowns he scored last week would have been Brandon Jacobs territory. On top of that all three touchdowns came off lucky plays such as. Mario Manningham being tackled at the 1 yard line. A defensive pass interference in the end zone, and another defensive pass interference in the end zone.
The reason you drafted him was to be a productive 70 yards and a TD type of running back. But when Jacobs is out you expect 100 yards and a TD. Last week he did got over 100 yards and 3 TDs, but none of that would have happened if Jacobs was healthy.
Bradshaw came out of the gates slowly having less than 10 yards in his first 8 carries before breaking out a few long runs. If Jacobs was in that game, he would of stole all three touchdowns, and would have played all the series that Bradshaw had his bust out runs. The rotation wasn’t there so Bradshaw got to continue to pound, pound, pound away.
That was the first game this season he broke over 100 yards rushing, and he has faced Arizona, Philly, and St.Louis. All three terrible run defenses. Bradshaw’s value is high at the moment and some owners might consider him a strong RB 2. But this is the time to trade Ahmad. Jacobs is coming back, and he sees himself as a featured RB and he looked angry last week when he saw Bradshaw clean up all those easy TDs.
