STEELERS @ RAVENS

PREVIEW

The Ravens are dealing with too much drama since the Ray Rice story broke on Monday.  This is a team that is not ready to come into a HUGE early season battle against the AFC North Rival Steelers, on Thursday Night Football.  The Ravens really need this game, but the distraction will provide to be too much as this team will not truly be on their A game as the media has been hounding this team like the Dog Days of Michael Vick.

Look for both teams to go pass heavy in this one as both teams will have trouble covering the WRs.  I like Joe Flacco to throw the ball 40+ Times with confidence which should lead to an easy 300+ Yard Performance.  Look for Steve Smith SR./Dennis Pitta/Torrey Smith to all be productive, also look for Justin Forsett to do enough damage to keep this Ravens RB situation a RBBC for the time being.

For Pittsburgh Le’Veon Bell should be able to accomplish 100+ Total Yards with no problems at all.  Big Ben will look Antonio Brown’s way often as well now that he is not covered by Joe Haden this week.  The Steelers offense is very hit or miss at times, but you have to like the fact that the Ravens have a distraction as the true difference maker if you are worried about going with Big Ben.  Ben will still rank outside of my Top 15 QBs this week as he falls in the 280+ Yard area.

If I were to make one bet in this game, I would take the OVER (44).  Both teams should be able to move the ball with no problems, and the fact the Ravens will be going so pass heavy has to bode well with the chances of points going up on the scoreboard.  Be prepared for Field Goals, be prepared for points.  The days of both of these teams having dominant defenses are gone.

  1. QB/K

Every possesion last week the Redskins started inside of their own 20. Hard enough to drive 60 Yards against the Texans D at any moment. Texans started their possesions inside their 20 all game long as well. Add up the two and you have no TDs or FGs like last week.

    QB/K

  2. I have Cobb Julio and Andre Johnson do I start Steve over any of these? The other league question is do I start Steve Smith over Morris at flex . Thanks

  3. Debating starting Heath Miller over Jordan Cameron (questionable for Sunday).. You expect any production from him tonight?

  4. pick 2 wrs from the following (week 2 play):

    Steve Smith Sr. tonight

Boykin vs. suspect jets D….in LAMBOUGH

    Golden Tate vs. Carolina D

  5. Kinda late notice question but who would you guys rather start at FLEX:

    Steve Smith or Steven Jackson?

  6. I was just offered my M.Colston for J.Gordon. I like the potential for J.Gordon, being that hes a target monster. I have three other great receivers as well in S.Smith, R.Cobb, D.Jax. any suggestions Munt and the rest of BeastNation?

  7. How many WR do you start?

I’d do that trade, you start Cobb and D.Jax or Smith until Gordon is back (assuming 2 WR).

  8. Thanks Kai, its a 2WR league I’m pulling the trigger on the trade. Im looking to beast if Gordon is unsuspended. Beast on.

  9. The world’s hating on T-quizz…

Trent Richardson said he thinks it’s “going to be a good, equal load” between he and Ahmad Bradshaw this season.
After Week 1, it’s clear that the Colts prefer Bradshaw in the passing game and hurry-up offense. Faced with a 24-point first-half deficit, Bradshaw played 44 snaps to Richardson’s 29. Bradshaw tallied 85 yards on eight touches, with Richardson managing 51 yards total. “Whether it’s Ahmad out there or Trent out there, I feel good about both those guys,” coach Chuck Pagano said. Richardson’s stock is already declining, while Bradshaw’s arrow is pointing up.

  10. Someone dropped him in one of my leagues too. If you got room on your bench I say do it, im waiting about a week cause we can only keep 4 on our bench.
