QB WEEK 1 FANTASY FOOTBALL RANKINGS 2013

QB

1. MATT RYAN @ NO

What is there not to like about this matchup for Matty Ice.  The Saints Defense is still beyond horrible, and Ryan has looked in midseason form all preseason long.  The Saints can only hope Matt Ryan is off his game, because otherwise he will torch this unit.

2. ANDREW LUCK VS. OAK

Andrew Luck was by far the best QB of the preseason.  His reward is facing the revamped Oakland Raiders who really looked just as bad as ever this preseason.  Luck will be able to do whatever he wants against this team.  Just hope he converts in the Redzone.

3. TOM BRADY @ BUF

It’s one thing to be beautiful.  It’s another to play against the Bills.  Tom Brady with a WR core of no-names and Danny Amendola should be able to get the job done on a Fantasy Level.  Bills defense is struggling this preseason and the injury to Stephen Gilmore is the last thing this thin secondary needed.

4. PEYTON MANNING VS. BAL

Weapons on Weapons on Weapons.  That is what you get from Peyton against a Baltimore Secondary that can no cover more than one player.  They have trouble stopping #1’s as is with Ladarius Webb not looking like himself from the Torn ACL injury last season.  Peyton Manning will pick and choose who gets the Fantasy Stats of the night.

5. COLIN KAEPERNICK VS. GB

Kaepernick is dangerous in this matchup and could easily be the #1 QB of the week.  The only reason I am not ranking him as that is the possibility he does not run for a TD.  Green Bay will likely have more than enough problems limiting Colin and his running abilities.  Like I said, it all comes down to the Rushing TD.

6. TONY ROMO VS. NYG

The Giants secondary is easy to beat up on.  Dez Bryant and Miles Austin can take this unit any day of the week, and they will definitely perform in the home opener on Sunday Night Football.  As long as that new offensive line gives Romo the time he needs to throw the ball, he will have a big night.

7. RGIII VS. PHI

Robert Griffin the third will remind everyone that the ACL injury in Fantasy Football is no longer devastating like it once was.  Look for an Adrian Peterson type showcase on MNF as he takes on an Eagles defense that is far away from the ‘Dream Team’ days.  The rushing TD will be more than key.

8. DREW BREES VS. ATL

I would rank Drew Brees lower, but it’s Drew Brees and he will likely be a lock against any defense to throw for 300 Yards.  The Falcons defense is going to be a lot better this season and could be the unit that confuses Brees into a bad game.  Drew will still get his Yards, he will likely get his 2 TDs, but will he get INTs against the M. Night Shyamalan defense..I think so.

9. MATTHEW STAFFORD VS. MIN

The Vikings Run Defense was lethal this preseason.  The Lions don’t like to run the ball to begin with, so this gives Stafford every opportunity to throw the ball 50 Times.  Will he get his big numbers?  Depends if he thrives in the Redzone which was beyond horrible last season for the Lions.  QB/K is a MUST with Stafford.

10. AARON RODGERS @ SF

It is not often Aaron Rodgers will be near the #10 mark.  Against the 49ers in SF for their home opener is one time I would not count on safe numbers from Rodgers.  Yes, the best way to beat SF is with the pass.  While that sounds easy, you try taking a hit from Aldon Smith more than once and not be scared for your life the rest of the game.

11. MICHAEL VICK @ WAS

The Eagles offense is going to change the game of Fantasy Football.  It all starts Week 1 against a Redskins defense that actually may more suited to stop Vick than a lot of defenses out there.  The return of Brian Orakpo will make things interesting.  Very interesting.  Still look for Vick to be a Fantasy QB you can depend on as he will be running often this season.

12. ELI MANNING @ DAL

Eli does not come with Glitz and Glamour.  He is either a 250-350 QB with 3 TDs, or a 175 Yard QB with 1 TD.  Luckily for him the Cowboys do lack in their secondary and Hakeem ‘The Dream’ is looking more lethal than ever.  Which will force Dallas to not double-team Victor Cruz which could lead to a huge game.  Start Eli and hope his offensive line can slow down DeMarcus Ware.

13. RUSSELL WILSON @ CAR

Wilson is one of those Fantasy QBs who makes his numbers in the Redzone.  Luckily for him the Panthers secondary is weak, which should allow Wilson to put up modest passing numbers.  The Panthers LB core could make things tough in the Redzone.

14. EJ MANUEL VS. NE

The EJ Manuel show starts Week 1.  He is the next big thing at QB, and New England’s secondary has looked worst than we all expected this preseason.  Look for Manuel to have a nice opening Sunday as he moves the ball down the field better than any Bills QB in some time.

15. JOSH FREEMAN @ NYJ

Until his offensive line shows up, Josh Freeman will be somewhat risky.  Luckily he faces the Jets who have a horrible team in general, which could lead to a lot of kill the clock mode in the second half.  Still, Freeman should get those first two TDs to kick off his 30+ TD season.

16. MATT SCHAUB @ SD

Schaub has a lot of BEAST or BUST in him for Monday Night Football.  The Chargers Secondary is horrible, at the same time this has all the ingredients for a blowout.  Look for a lot of running in the 2nd Half as the Chargers Offense really has no answer for the Texans Defense.

17. TERRELLE PRYOR @ IND

Pryor is playing in the midwest.  While it is not Ohio, it is close enough to Pryor’s roots where he will have a big showing for his support in his First game as the opening day starter.  Look for Terrelle to remind us of the OSU days, just for a glimpse.

18. CAM NEWTON VS. SEA

Super Cam has a horrible matchup.  Seattle’s Secondary could shutdown Aaron Rodgers if they wanted to.  How do you expect Cam Newton to get passing yards against this Secondary.  Take away Steve Smith, take away Brandon LaFell, the Safeties are too quick for Greg Olsen.

Hopefully he runs for 80 Yards and a TD, because that is the only thing that will save him.  I would not count on it.

19. ALEX SMITH @ JAX

The Jaguars secondary is a joke.  While Alex Smith never puts up good Fantasy numbers, this could be the one time he gets it done.  I would not start him, unless I was in a 2 QB league where you need a sleeper.

20. CHRISTIAN PONDER @ DET

Using Christian Ponder in Fantasy Football goes against all the rules of Fantasy Football.  All he does is hand the ball off, but luckily he plays the Lions whose secondary will turn into more linebackers to stop Adrian Peterson.  Look for Ponder to have a nice week 1.

21. BEN ROETHLISBERGER VS. TEN

The clock has not struck midnight yet on Big Ben, and this is a week you can use him with some confidence.  Not a lot though as it will be hard to see 300 Yard Big Ben with no more Mike Wallace.  This is a matchup he should be more than decent.

22. PHILLIP RIVERS VS. HOU

Rivers could get some nice passing numbers in blowout time against Houston.  That is what you can hope for after all the INT’s he throws to start the game.

23. CARSON PALMER @ STL

Cortland Finnegan will take away Larry Fitzgerald, which means we will see how good Carson is without his star WR.  Rams do lack in the safety department, so the deep ball should be there.

24. JAY CUTLER VS. CIN

The Bengals defense is a premiere defense, and Jay Cutler is a 1 WR quarterback.  If the Bengals shutdown Brandon Marshall, though week coming for Cutler.  Bengals can gameplan easily as AJ Green has that secondary well tested this offseason.

25. ANDY DALTON @ CHI

The matchup of AJ Green vs. Charles Tillman is one you do not want to see if you own AJ Green.  Look the other way on Andy Dalton this week as the other WR’s cannot live up to a good Fantasy QB performance.

26. JAKE LOCKER @ PIT

The Steelers have a great secondary, and Jake Locker is not ready for such a test.  The Steelers will be making life very tough Locker to do much unless he uses his legs.  Should be an interesting game, but I would take the under on 225 Yards and 1 TD game.

27. BRANDON WEEDEN VS. MIA

Weeden will be without Josh Gordon.  Which is the last thing Brandon Weeden fantasy owners want to see.  He does have Greg Little and the ex-dolphin Davone Bess, will probably not go as well as expected for his season debut.  Jordan Cameron will have to save him.

28. SAM BRADFORD VS. ARI

Long season for Rams fans on offense.  Especially when they face a unit like the Cardinals who could be the biggest sleepers in Football.  Bradford will have trouble getting his WRs open, but Jared Cook should find his numbers in garbage time.

29. RYAN TANNEHILL @ CLE

Take away Mike Wallace, and Tannehill is a QB who does not look so sexy on paper.  Playing against Joe Haden, you can expect Mike Wallace to have trouble getting open.  Joe is on another planet.

30. JOE FLACCO @ DEN

Luckily for Flacco, Champ Bailey will not play.  Unlucky for Flacco.  All he has is Torrey Smith who may be good for 1 TD at the max.  Not a lot of options for the Superbowl MVP, going to be that way all year long in the AFC North.

31. BLAINE GABBERT VS. KC

Will he get pulled for Chad Henne in Week 1?  I know every owner of a Jaguars player will be rooting for that from the very first snap.

32. GENO SMITH VS. TB

If you are playing Geno Smith.  You may get negative points.

RB WEEK 1 FANTASY FOOTBALL RANKINGS 2013

RB

1. JAMAAL CHARLES @ JAX

I’m going to do it.  Jamaal Charles has a bigger week than Adrian Peterson against the cupcake Jaguars.  Jacksonville is not capable of throwing a shutout this season, and the Chiefs know if they are going to start 1-0, it’s because of Jamaal.

2. ADRIAN PETERSON @ DET

If there is one underrated defense that can slow down Adrian Peterson.  The Lions are easily that unit with Sugh/Farley in the middle.  Will they slow down Purple Jesus?  Maybe for 20 carries, but AP will kill them on at least 8 after that.

3. LESEAN MCCOY @ WAS

Will the Real Slim Shady Please Stand up?  Against Brian Orakpo and London Flether, maybe not as often as you want.  Once it gets to the 4th quarter, he will be unstoppable.  Track meet is in making, and Shady should have a great start to the 2013 season.

4. STEVEN JACKSON @ NO

Steven Jackson could run for 100 Yards against the 49ers to close out the season, now he faces the Saints on the high scoring Atlanta Falcons.  This has all the makings to be a game where Steven Jackson will create a Highlight reel.

5. C.J. SPILLER VS. NE

Spiller has a good matchup for a big week 1 against the Patriots.  The only way the Bills win that game is if Spiller turns in a HUGE fantasy performance.  The only thing that worries me is the potential blowout.  Still, Spiller will get his 100 Yards with the likely TD.

6. DOUG MARTIN @ NYJ

Rough preseason for all Buc’s, especially Doug Martin who was injured while pass blocking.  He will be all systems go against a run defense that has had it’s problems this preseason.  The Buc’s O-Line has to show up early and then Doug Martin will prove he deserved to be #1 on this list.

7. ARIAN FOSTER @ SD

The Barbarian against the Chargers defense is a joke.  The only thing you have to worry about with Foster is the fact the Texans will blowout the Chargers.  Which means Tate Rape could come early for those Foster owners.

8. MARSHAWN LYNCH @ CAR

BEAST MODE will run for 100 Yards against any team.  His ceiling is not at it’s highest against a good Panther LB core.  I would still go with Marshawn with confidence, just hope he gets that Redzone TD.

9. STEVAN RIDLEY @ BUF

Riddle me this, Riddle me that.  Stevan should find the Endzone Week 1, and that is why you drafted him.

10. MAURICE JONES-DREW VS. KC

MOJO will be the heart and soul of the Blaine Gabbert project.  He should still get his 100 Total Yards, but the Redzone opportunities will be limited until Chad Henne is at QB.  MOJO gets the touches, and that is all you can ask for from the star RB.

11. DEMARCO MURRAY VS. NYG

Demarco is going to have a big season, 100 Total Yards should be there every week, and the Giants lack in the LB department, which means Murray should be able to start the season off like the BEAST DOME NATION wants him to.

12. FRANK GORE VS. GB

Frank the Tank is one of the safest RBs in Fantasy Football.  The Packers defense will not be able to slow him down, and Colin will drive the ball nicely for him.  The Redzone Touches is what it will be all about.

13. ALFRED MORRIS VS. PHI

Morris could easily be a Top 10 Fantasy RB this week, but he will have to fight off a surging Roy Helu.  I can guarantee you, if Morris starts out slow.  We will be seeing the Roy Helu show earlier than expected.

14. TRENT RICHARDSON VS. MIA

T-Pain will be a Fantasy Monster this season, the matchup against the Dolphins is not the best.  Brandon Weeden without Josh Gordon will allow the Dolphins to focus on stopping the Run more than ever.  I would not bench T-Rich, but I would really hope he finds the endzone because his total yards won’t be ELITE enough.

15. REGGIE BUSH VS. MIN

Reggie will not be getting his yards on the ground this week.  He will however likely see near 100 in the receiving department.  A lot to be excited about this season for all those Reggie Bush owners, the next Marshall Faulk journey starts on Sunday.

16. RAY RICE @ DEN

The strategy for the Ravens in Week 1, lets see if Ray Rice can beat the Broncos by himself.  I would not count on it and if he does not get the TD it will be a rough week.  This is a sign of many things to come for Sugar Ray.

17. MONTEE BALL VS. BAL

The Broncos will blowout the Ravens.  When it is Blowout time, get ready to order those Montee Ball jerseys.  Don’t order them too soon, he just got his #28 Jersey number back.  I would rank him ahead of Ray Rice, but those touches will not be at it’s highest point until Week 2.

18. DARREN MCFADDEN @ IND

Run DMC has new life with Terrelle Pryor at QB.  The Colts do have a strong LB core, but DMC can run past anyone.  He will need one long run to save his Sunday, he will get it.

19. CHRIS JOHNSON @ PIT

CJ2K against the Steelers is not a favorable matchup.  Especially when he is losing Redzone touches already.  Let us see how CJ fares in this one, but this is a week I would want to be facing Chris Johnson in Fantasy Leagues.

20. AHMAD BRADSHAW VS. OAK

Bradshaw will etiher go up or down on this list as the week continues.  Obviously still not in game-shape, the Colts are thinking about limiting Bradshaw.  He should get it together sooner than later, making him a safe start at the very least.  Watch where he moves.

21. DAVID WILSON VS. DAL

The all or nothing.  David Wilson will get enough touches where he should be able to break off at least one big one, but the Dallas Defense does have a good enough Front seven to limit him.  Boom or Bust at it’s finest right here.

22. MATT FORTE VS. CIN

The Bengals defense hits hard.  I hate to predict injuries, but this is a Week where Matt Forte owners just have to hope Forte can make it out of this game scratch free.  This Bengals teams is stacked at LB.

23. RYAN MATHEWS VS. HOU

If the Chargers can stay competitive, Mathews will have a nice Week 1.  If the Texans blow them out, the Chargers will elect to get Danny Woodhead in there and let Mathews live another day.  I would hope to have a better Week 1 alternative, otherwise just hope the game stays close.

24. LAMAR MILLER @ CLE

Kendrik Lamar Miller gets his 2013 debut against D’Qwell Jackson.  Soon Lamar Miller owners will know who D’Qwell is if they do not already, until then.  Hope that the 80 Total Yards gets the added TD.

25. RASHARD MENDENHALL @ STL

Mendenhall will get his 18+ Carries.  You will be surprised to see how quick and darty he looks coming out of the game.  The Rams defense will make things tougher than they need to be.

26. SHANE VEREEN @ BUF

Vereen has a lot of upside in this matchup against the Bills.  Especially if it gets into garbage time quickly.  Shane is the type of RB who could have a monster Week.  He could also be average at best if he does find the endzone.

27. DARREN SPROLES VS. ATL

The PPR Monster has a tough week 1 matchup.  Still Brees, gets it done in these types of situations and Sproles is usually the players that benefit.  Look for Darren to be on the field often for Week 1.

28. ISAAC REDMAN VS. TEN

Big Ben should do enough for Redman where he will get his chances for 80 Total Yards.  We will see if Redman takes advantage as this is his time with Le’Veon Bell sidelined.

29. BEN TATE @ SD

Tate Rape starts in Week 1.  If this game goes to blowout mode, Ben Tate could see 10+ carries without blinking.

30. GIOVANI BERNARD @ CHI

Giovani is too small to go up against the Bears.  Sure he looked good against the Titans in preseason, but this is the Bears in Chicago.

31. PIERRE THOMAS VS. ATL

Pierre would be a Top 20 RB if Sproles and Ingram were hurt, right now they are not.  So Pierre will split time in the three headed monster.  He is the best RB of the group by far.

32. MARK INGRAM VS. ATL

One day Ingram will breakout.  Right now he is the third best RB on his team, which makes it hard to trust him for Week 1.  He is the goal line RB, but those 50 Total Yards will not be much without.

33. KNOWSHON MORENO VS. BAL

3rd Down RB extraordinaire, Knowshon is a player who will wear down quickly as the season goes.  This is his time to make an impact, hopefully for his sake his knees holdup.  Something that has not happened in his brief career.

34. RONNIE HILLMAN VS. BAL

Hillman will get another shot to be the Broncos starter.  Likely 10+ Carries are in works, but one more fumble and it will be hard to see eye-to-eye with John Fox and his crush on Ronnie.  I take the chance he fumbles.

35. CHRISTOPHER IVORY VS. TB

Ivory will need to be the offense for the Jets early.  He may not be starting, but he is the only thing they have.  Bilal Powell cannot run against this Bucs D.

36. DEANGLO WILLIAMS VS. SEA

D-Will will get his chances in Week 1.  Seattle will likely crush those dreams and leave the aging/declining RB on the wrong end of the way he wanted to start 2013.

37. EDDIE LACY @ SF

The 49ers are a defense that will destroy Lacy.  If Eddie gets over 50 Total Yards, consider it a good thing to come.

38. VICK BALLARD VS. OAK

Vick could drop during the week, but right now it looks he will get enough carries to be a low-end difference maker in Week 1.  We will see.

39. DARYL RICHARDSON VS. ARI

Arizona’s defense is too good.  Look for Calais, Dockett, Washington, Dansby and all the others to destroy the Rams offense.

40. BRYCE BROWN @ WAS

Brown is maybe the highest potential backup RB in the NFL behind Ben Tate.  Week 1 will be interesting, he should get enough carries to be a low-end option.

41. ROY HELU VS. PHI

The big sleeper to take over for the Redskins backfield.  Week 1 is a good matchup, Helu will make the most of his opportunities.

42. FRED JACKSON VS. NE

F-Jax should get some time if this game goes into blowout mode.  If it does not, hard for the Bills to bench Spiller.

43. LEGARETTE BLOUNT @ BUF

He may be the #3 RB on the depth chart, but Blount can be a BEAST at times.  If he gets his carries watch out.

44. MICHAEL BUSH VS. CIN

Goal Line TD or nothing.  No thank you for Week 1 against a Tough defense.

45. DANNY WOODHEAD VS. HOU

Good PPR player in potential blowout.  Would not start him a lot of weeks, but this is one he could do better than expected.

46. KENDALL HUNTER VS. GB

Kendall is a BEAST in the making.  Frank Gore will not take every carry in Week 1, and Hunter will show you that he is a great handcuff if anything happens to Gore.

47. BENJARVUS GREEN-ELLIS @ CHI

The Law Firm is losing it’s clients and it’s time to cut on payroll.  Starting Week 1 against the Bears.

48. FELIX JONES VS. TEN

Felix only needs 1 carry to get his big fantasy day.  Not with Bernard Pollard making hits though.

49. DANIEL THOMAS @ CLE

D-Thomas, D-Train, whatever the nickname will be.  Still not a Week 1 option as the Dolphins will likely see what the Lamar Miller project will bring them.

50. KAHLIL BELL VS. TB

Sleeper to outperform Bilal Powell.  All you Fantasy Players from the Madden Arena days remember when he was the recommended player to win you your championship.

51. BERNARD PIERCE @ DEN

Might see some action in blowout time, I would not count on his fantasy day.

52. BILAL POWELL VS. TB

Powell is looking to be the #1 RB against the Bucs.  Still does not mean anything and he would be lucky to see 30 Total Yards with no lost Fumble.

53. MIKE TOLBERT VS. SEA

Could easily be the better fantasy performer than DeAnglo Williams, still would not trust him against Seattle.

54. JOESPH RANDLE VS. NYG

Good potential, but nothing while Murray is healthy.

55. ISIAH PEAD VS. ARI

Will only see a handful of carries at most.  Desperate times if you are using him in Week 1.

56. ROBERT TURBIN @ CAR

3rd Down RB, deep option in PPR leagues.

56. MICHAEL CHRISTINE @ CAR

The adventures of Old and New Christine is still #3 on the depth chart.

WR WEEK 1 FANTASY FOOTBALL RANKINGS 2013

WR

1. CALVIN JOHNSON VS. MIN

Remember.  Megatron is not human.

2. DANNY AMENDOLA @ BUF

Amendola is going to like the Tom Brady show, and it all starts Week 1 against the very weak Bills defense.

3. JULIO JONES @ NO

Julio will be a Monster all season.  If the Saints think they have a realistic shot of slowing Julio down, they need a reality check.

4. REGGIE WAYNE VS. OAK

Wayne’s World has the matchup fantasy owners can only dream about.  Look for Reggie to be the safest thing since the condom in Week 1 against the Raiders secondary.

5. DWAYNE BOWE @ JAX

Alex Smith gives Dwayne Bowe a real QB.  While we all want to believe that this is the QB we can trust, let us see it on the friendliest stage against the Jaguars.

6. DEMARYIUS THOMAS VS. BAL

Demaryius is going to have a Monster Year.  As long as Peyton decides to throw to him near the Redzone.  No reason not to early in the season against a bad Ravens Secondary.

7. DEZ BRYANT VS. NYG

Dez is going to have a Monster year, it all starts in Week 1 against a Giants Secondary that would be lucky to limit him.

8. RODDY WHITE @ NO

Roddy ‘Show Stoppy’ White can do whatever he wants against the Saints defense.   Look for him to explode out of the games from the first snap.

9. ANDRE JOHNSON @ SD

Andre should likely be ranked higher on this list, the only reason he is not higher is because of the potential early blowout.  Look for Andre to be a lock for 80 Yards, everything else you just have to hope for early on.

10. WES WELKER VS. BAL

Wes is going to show us what Peyton could of done if Brandon Stokley was actually good.  Wes could easily have a 10 catch game to open up his Peyton Manning/Wes Welker combo.

11. DESEAN JACKSON @ WAS

‘Speed Kills’ will be the theme of the 2013 Desean Jackson season.  10Mode will get you loving the popular BEAST DOME draft pick early, very early.

12. VINCENT JACKSON @ NYJ

If Josh Freeman gets time to throw, Vincent Jackson will easily have a Week 1 to remember.  While Antonio Cromartie is athletic, he cannot cover.  Vincent Jackson will do whatever he wants, as long as Freeman has the time to make it happen.

13. ANQUAN BOLDIN VS. GB

Good times for Anquan Boldin should start in Week 1 against a bad Packers secondary.  It was one thing to lose Charles Woodson, it was another thing to not replace him as this unit was pretty horrible in 2012 in the defensive passing department.

14. VICTOR CRUZ @ DAL

Cruz only needs 1 play to make his fantasy night.  That play will likely come more than once, which means it is a time to get Victor Cruz in your lineup no matter what.

15. HAKEEM NICKS @ DAL

Hakeem the Dream is locked and loaded as Eli’s go-to-WR in 2013.  While he may not be as explosive as Victor, he is about as safe as they come as few can guard him.  Especially this Cowboys secondary.

16. ANTONIO BROWN VS. TEN

Look for the Big Ben/Antonio Brown Connection to start on the right foot in Week 1.  Brown is a great #2 WR, solid #1 WR, this season we will see how good he can really be with no Mike Wallace to take away the attention.  Better than we think is going to be the result.

17. BRANDON MARSHALL VS. CIN

The one we call B-Marsh will have his hands full against a very talented Bengals defense.  From head-to-toe, they have talent that will punish Marshall everytime that ball is near him.  Cutler will throw it anyways.

18. PIERRE GARCON VS. PHI

Garcon will put up interesting numbers this season.  Last year him and RGIII were on the same level, I’m sure we will see that on showcase Monday Night in the season opener.

19. MARQUES COLSTON VS. ATL

The Falcons secondary is solid.  Their safeties can cover, their corners are players we consider well known.  Marques will find his seams, we will see how he does sharing the ball when Brees will likely not be his best.

20. LARRY FITZGERALD @ STL

The Cardinals will get Fitzgerald big Fantasy Numbers, against the Rams could be a different story as Cortland Finnegan will be manning him all game.  Fitzgerald is much bigger than Cortland, but Cortland can cover and those lazy ducks will be picked.

21. AJ GREEN @ CHI

Charles Tillman against AJ Green is a matchup I would never take.  Both are extremely talented, and every ball thrown Green’s way will be something you want to watch.

22. MILES AUSTIN VS. NYG

Miles is the most dangerous WR in the NFL after the catch.  Between his power and speed, nobody in that Giants Secondary will be able to do much to stop him.

23. LANCE MOORE VS. ATL

Lance is the perfect WR for the Saints offense, he is what Wes Welker/Tom Brady is to Lance Moore/Drew Brees.  Look for that connection to take the next step in 2013.

24. TORREY SMITH @ DEN

Torrey has no choice but to perform against the Broncos with no Champ Bailey.  The Broncos will still send extra attention to slow him down, which is the only concerning thing about Torrey heading into Week.

25. STEVIE JOHNSON VS. NE

You can guarantee that the Patriots will be forcing the Bills to throw in the second half of this game.  When that starts happening, time to get your pen and pencils out as you start tallying the catches.

26. GREG JENNINGS @ DET

Always risky starting a Christian Ponder WR, but if there was a week to do it, against the Lions is the best bet.

27. ERIC DECKER VS. BAL

All Hands on Deck, is the saying we will say when Decker scores a TD.  He will be a James Jones type of WR for the Broncos this season with a lot of average/good/great games all mixed together.

28. JORDY NELSON @ SF

Jordy will be the #1 WR for the Packers this season, he was better off sitting 1 more week to rehab the knee.  Every catch Jordy makes, you will feel his pain with the hits those 49ers will be laying.

29. RANDALL COBB @ SF

While Randall Cobb plays at a different Speed, the 49ers LB core plays at the same speed that can knock a player out of the game.  Good luck Cobb with those crossing routes.  They will turn into crashing routes.

30. T.Y. HILTON VS. OAK

T.Y. has been a star this preseason with Andrew Luck.  Would not be surprised to see this out of the gate in Week 1 against the Raiders weak defense.  Should be a good season with a lot of ups and downs for Hilton owners, this week will be an up.

31. KENBRELL THOMPKINS @ BUF

Ring the Kenbrell, this is the best time to get your Fantasy numbers out of him.  With no Gronk, Tom Brady will be forced to throw to Ocho Cinco Jr. often to start 2013.

32. DENARIUS MOORE @ IND

Terrelle Pryor makes Denarius Moore a better WR, which means we will be seeing a lot of D-Moore in the Fantasy headlines.  The added bonus time when Pryor is on the move should make it tough for defenses to cover.

33. MIKE WILLIAMS @ NYJ

Mike Will, will look to start the 2013 Season on the right foot.  One of the best/most underrated #2 WRs in the NFL, Mike has a dream matchup against any Jet corner that is not Antonio Cromartie.

34. SIDNEY RICE @ CAR

Break Yo Neck will be a theme often this season with Sidney Rice.  Break Yo Neck, referring to Busta Rhymes.  Sidney the Kid and Russell is a good connection, he should be able to tower over the Panthers small corners.

35. GOLDEN TATE @ CAR

Golden Tate could be onto something special after a strong camp.  Those reports on his camp look good when Sidney Rice was injured not on the practice field.

36. STEVE SMITH @ SEA

Going to be tough for Steve Smith to be Steve Smith with that Seahawks Secondary.  Cam will try to get him involved, will not be easy.  His speed means nothing to that secondary.

37. BRIAN HARTLINE @ CLE

Check your Hartline this week as he could be the featured WR for Ryan Tannehill.  Mike Wallace against Haden will force Ryan to look his way often.

38. MIKE WALLACE @ CLE

Wallace can burn with the best of them, and he can take any bubble screen to the house.  Joe Haden is a matchup I do not like for any WR as Darrelle Revis is nothing compared to this guy.  Let us see how good Mike can be.

39. NATE WASHINGTON @ PIT

The real-go-to-WR for Jake Locker, Nate takes on a Steelers Secondary that is one of the best in the NFL.  Chances are Jake will throw in garbage time, which means Bromance time for him and his boy Toy Nate.

40. KENNY BRITT @ PIT

Britt is a dangerous WR that can beat any secondary.  It is not often that the Steelers let any WR beat them, and they will make sure Britt is not burning Ike Taylor without Ryan Clark right there to remind them who they are playing against.  Better matchups will come Kenny’s way.

41. CECIL SHORTS VS. KC

Cecil will need Blaine Gabbert to bad in order to have a good season.  Chad Henne is the answer, right now Cecil will see what he can do with no Blackmon.  Chances are Blaine is going to be horrible, you can bench until further notice.

42. JAMES JONES @ SF

The one we call James Jones.  The 49ers Secondary decided to list Nandi as their #3 CB.  If he guards James Jones, Nandi should get the confidence back to return to Oakland Raider form.  We will see.

43. DEANDRE HOPKINS @ SD

Hopkins can be dangerous against the Chargers to start the season.  SD is going to worry about Andre, which should allow the 1st Round Pick DeAndre for some easy coverage’s.

44. VINCENT BROWN VS. HOU

Vincent Brown, meet Jonathan Joesph.  Joesph will make it so your name is not mentioned very often.

45. DARRIUS HEYWARD-BEY VS. OAK

‘Wheels’ will go up against his old team.  Great time to see if he can get that sleeper TD.  I would almost count on it, but not bet on it.

46. HARRY DOUGLAS @ NO

Douglas is going to be a great WR in the Falcons offense for 2013.  Hard to say on a Fantasy Level, but this matchup against the Saints is exactly what he can ask for.

47. DONNIE AVERY @ JAX

If Dwyane Bowe see’s double coverages, which should be the case.  Donnie can easily sneak in a Fantasy TD to make your Week 1 that much better.

48. CHRIS GIVENS VS. ARI

Givens likes to go deep, as long as Patrick Peterson is guarding him.  Going deep will not mean much.

49. EMMANUEL SANDERS VS. TEN

The Titans Secondary does not have enough to stop all of the Steelers WRs.  Which means Sanders could get his cheap numbers.

50. AARON DOBSON @ BUF

If Kenbrell or Amendola do not step it up, Dobson will take advantage.  Chances are he will get his number of pass attempts.

51. CORDARRELLE PATTERSON @ DET

If there is a week to see what the rookie can do, against Detroit is that week.

52. ROBERT WOODS VS. NE

The addition of EJ Manuel as the full-time QB could make Robert Woods a nice sleeper this season.

53. QUINTON PATTON VS. GB

#3 on the depth chart now, Patton could easily slip to #2.

54. TAVON AUSTIN VS. ARI

The potential is there for Tavon, I would not trust it in Week 1 against the tough Cardinals secondary.

55. MALCOLM FLOYD VS. HOU

Floyd could easily sneak into being Rivers #1 WR, against the Texans it would be hard to trust it.

56. RUBEN RANDLE @ DAL

Really looking like a WR on the outside looking in.  We will see what Randle can do against the weak Cowboys Secondary who is busy stopping Cruz/Nicks.

57. ALSHON JEFFERY VS. CIN

Jeffery has the matchup in Week 1 to potentially do something if Marshall gets shutout.  While it sounds good to start Jeffery as a sleeper because of his size, it is not a safe option in Week 1.

58. MOHAMMED SANU @ CHI

Sanu has some sleeper potential down the road.  Against the Bears in Chicago, I would happily pass.

59. MICHAEL FLOYD @ STL

If Cortland Finnegan locks up Larry Fitzgerald, look for Floyd to get his Fantasy Numbers the old fashion way.  5 Catches in the middle of the field.

60. ANDRE ROBERTS @ STL

Roberts is a very underrated #3 WR.  The Rams do not have enough DBs to stop him, we will see what they do.

61. BRANDON LAFELL @ SEA

LaFell will have his weeks.  Against Seattle is not one of those weeks.

62. ROD STREATER @ IND

Streater is a sleeper to be the #1 WR for the Raiders, I am not buying it.  He could get some good Garbage time numbers.

63. DAVONE BESS VS. MIA

Going up against his old team, Bess will be an interesting Flex Play.  He could do not so much, he could get 50 Yards/TD.

64. GREG LITTLE VS. MIA

Big Body, Little Hands.  Story of Greg Little and the hands that can’t catch.  Good opportunity Week 1 with no Josh Gordon.

65. JACOBY JONES @ DEN

Can you say garbage time.  The Broncos can.

66. RILEY COOPER @ WAS

Coop will make his plays.  Occasionally.

67. SANTONIO HOLMES VS. TB

Revis Island against Holmes is hard enough.  Throw in Geno Smith at QB and you will be lucky to get 4 Catches.

68. KEVIN OGELTREE @ NYJ

The Week 1 story of last season, will try to make history.

69. KENDALL WRIGHT @ PIT

Not enough mouths to feed from the Food Locker will be providing, especially against the Steelers.

70. AUSTIN PETTIS VS. ARI

Good luck Pettis against that great Cardinals defense.

71. NICK TOON VS. ATL

Maybe one week to show the Robert Meachem signing was a mistake.  We will see.

72. ACE SANDERS VS. KC

As long as Blaine Gabbert is your QB.  You can forget about it.

73. JEREMY KERLEY VS. TB

Geno Smith.

74. STEPHEN HILL VS. TB

Geno Smith.

TE WEEK 1 FANTASY FOOTBALL RANKINGS 2013

TE

1. JIMMY GRAHAM VS. ATL

BEAST. BEAST. BEAST.  ATL will have trouble stopping him.

2. TONY GONZALEZ @ NO

Tony G. is in the building against the Saints.  Hard not to get a little excited if you own him.

3. JASON WITTEN VS. NYG

Witten will get his receptions, he will have to fight hard for those TDs as the Cowboys are stacked in Redzone options.

4. VERNON DAVIS VS. GB

Vernon Davis and Kaepernick were getting it done in the playoffs.  Should carry over to 2013 quickly.

5. ANTONIO GATES VS. HOU

SD will get blown out, good time to get more chemistry with Gates/Rivers heading into a long season.

6. OWEN DANIELS @ SD

Daniels is a good cheapy to find that sleeper nice game.  Look for him in the Redzone, I know Schaub will.

7. FRED DAVIS VS. PHI

The comeback of RGIII is really overshadowing the comeback of Fred Davis who looks 100% after the Achilles injury.

8. KYLE RUDOLPH @ DET

Rudolph the Red Nosed TE has a good matchup.  Will be interesting to see his value with Greg Jennings now on board.

9. JORDAN CAMERON @ MIA

J-Cam will get some nice action in Week 1 with Josh Gordon missing the game.

10. JULIUS THOMAS VS. BAL

The J-Thomas show starts in Week 1 against the Ravens.  Look for the Sleeper TD from BEAST DOME’s Favorite TE.

11. ZACH SUDFELD @ BUF

The term ‘Next Rob Gronkowski’ is a joke, but a good plug-n-play option is here for the taking.

12. BRANDON MYERS @ DAL

Myers will be the hot read for Eli against the Cowboys.  He should get his work in early.

13. JARED COOK VS. ARI

Cook is a nightmare for most defenses.  The Cardinals are not like most defenses and should have an answer from any potential breakout performance.

14. JERMICHAEL FINLEY @ SF

There will be weeks you will love owning JerMichael.  Against the 49ers is not one of those weeks.

15. BRENT CELEK @ WAS

Celek will be the #2 option behind Desean Jackson.  Brent is a good TE who can run down the field.

16. MARCEDES LEWIS VS. KC

Marcedes is the favorite option of Blaine Gabbert.  Look for Marcedes to get a lot of work in Week 1.

17. SCOTT CHANDLER VS. NE

Something about Scott Chandler against the Patriots just brings out the best in him.

18. GREG OLSEN VS. SEA

Tough matchup where his speed/athleticism will not matter.

19. BRANDON PETTIGREW VS. MIN

Pettigrew lost weight and could be the #2 option for Matt Stafford.  He was dropping balls all season, time to make it right.

20. TONY SCHEFFLER VS. MIN

Easily the #3 option for Stafford, Tony will look to make his redzone impact.

21. ANTHONY FASANO @ JAX

Great Redzone TD stealer.  Fasano will look to make an impact against the weak Jags.

22. CHARLES CLAY @ CLE

With no Mike Wallace (against Haden), look for Charles Clay to get a larger role in the offense Week 1.

23. COBY FLEENER VS. OAK

Luck has so many options, you have to hope  Fleener somehow ends up on the radar at the right time.

24. DWAYNE ALLEN VS. OAK

Luck has so many options, you have to hope Allen somehow ends up on the radar at the right time.

25. HEATH MILLER VS. TEN

Big Ben could easily drop it down to Heath for that big sleeper TD.

26. MARTELLUS BENNETT VS. CIN

Tellus has a matchup where he needs to block.

27. ZACH MILLER VS. CAR

Miller could get it done in Week 1, I would want to see it first before trusting.

28. JERMAINE GRESHAM @ CHI

This could be a game Jermaine Gresham needs to be a force on the O-Line.

29. ZACH EIFERT @ CHI

Good player, tough matchup.  Wait another week on the rookie.

30. ROB HOUSLER @ STL

He will have his sleeper games.  May not come this week.

31. ZACH ERTZ @ WAS

His time will come, he does not look ready to be an impact player quite yet.

32. DELANIE WALKER @ PIT

Great blocker and short route runner.  Hard to see him doing it big in Pitt.

33. ED DICKSON @ DEN

one of the slower TEs who can catch the ball.

34. JEFF CUMBERLAND VS. TB

Geno Smith.

35. DAVID AUSBERRY @ IND

All he does is block.

  1. Lance Moore, Darren McFadden, or Montee Ball in a PPR Flex? I’m guessing Ball right now, but not sure if it changes in PPR setting.

  2. Hey Munt, i have mccoy, murray, bush and ball………are u saying i should sit ball this week?

  3. yes…I have Lynch, murray, Reggie Bush and Montee Ball… Sitting Montee until he has assumed complete control.

  4. Yes you don’t want to use Ball this week at all because it’s such a shady situation for Denver week 1. Play McCoy and Murray or Bush with confidence this week. Just go by Munts rankings and you will be fine.

    ~Justin

  5. Rams haven’t proved they can put all that offensive fire power to work, but the Cards still have a good D.

  6. DeSean Jackson or Reggie Bush for flex, non-ppr?

Also, can’t wait for Ball to come around… steal of the draft.

  7. i am thinking lance moore or mcfadden will be better plays this week. not saying ball will not get a shot to shine, which i think he will. Im playing ball over mathews this week cause of matchups and chargers oline you cant trust. But brees and ryan will be slinging that rock all game..plenty balls will come moores way. Mcfadden is the feature back and he catches passes..pryor should be able to move the offense enought to get dmac in the endzone.

  8. The Honey “Kush” Badger is in town son, he adds to their special teams and secondary. Palmer and mendy should be able to mover the ball enougth, to keep the defense fresh and on point.

  9. with those backs, yes sit and wait on ball. Do not over think your self to much. mccoy, murray and bush this week

  10. I agree with dallas here, moore will likely manage more than steve smith can against the seahawks, and cam will have trouble with them too.

  11. AJ Green at 21 is a misprint, right? I’m interested in your rankings. I feel you intentionally go against the grain so when you get a single sleeper right you gloat about it, disregarding all the other picks you got incorrect. I’m not knocking you, just my observation. I’m curious to see how this weeks plays out for ya Munt. I’ll be following you all season to see how you match up against the site I’m on now, and whether or not I want to buy the subscription next year.

  12. I got Gronk last night, but didnt get a backup TE for the first few weeks. Kyle Rudolph, Fred Davis, and Juluis Thomas are still on the wire, who to grab?

  13. hey guys, I have AP, RBush, DeMarco, RMathews, Ball and Mendenhall at RB.
My WRs are Amendola, Austin, SSmith, SJohnson…should I trade Ryan Mathews to get DeSean? Thanks!

    It’s a 10 team, standard auction league.

  14. Based on Munt’s final rankings, Davis. Rudolph isn’t ever surefire, and Julius hasn’t been proven YET, and there are a ton of receivers in Denver. RG3 likes Davis – I’d say Davis :)

  15. I can’t sit Ball because I had to take him as my 3rd RB. Anyone here anything about Marlon Brown? He’s Baltimores 3rd wr but I hear jacoby jones is slacking so might Marlon make some noise?
I feel like my team is hurtin. I got stafford, forte, McCoy, m ball, graham, garçon, m Austin, and m Williams as my starters. Bench is m bush, hartline, randle, helu, and p Thomas.
Graham fell to me in the 3rd so I had to take ball in the 4th but by the 5th wrs were slim pickins.
    Any suggestions?

  16. I was the #1 Rated WR Expert for In-Season Rankings in 2012 on FantasyPros. I don’t pick anything to just go against the grain..

Have you seen Charles Tillman play before?

  17. fred or rudolph..with fred being my choice. to many mouths to feed in denver, thomas could be nice later on, but he still learning the position.

  18. whats the problem? you go stafford, mccoy, forte, ball, garco, miles, graham. See if there is any more sleepers on your wire like thompkins for the patriots, TE thomas for denver, Freeman etc..maybe try to pair up some guys or something to get another decent rb or wr

  19. I would go for that trade, and I believe DeSean will be dominant this year. Ryan Matthews has been too inconsistent over the years…

  20. I’d go McFadden. He’s as healthy as he’ll be all year and I think he usually has big week 1’s.

  21. Your sentence. Fragments are really. Annoying. All of the arrogant chest pumping based on 1 years worth of predictions hardly feels justified, though I guess your accomplishments in the realm of fantasy football vastly outweigh mine. I’m intrigued enough to look at your site and consider some things. Like the above skeptic, I’ll keep tabs on your rankings this year, and if you’re as talented as you maintain, I suppose you might be my sole adviser next year. If Montee Ball hits as hard as you say he is going to, then I will be quite impressed. FYI, I think there is something to keeping the site a little ghetto (as well as the grammar) – it keeps it a bit more underground. I understand your intention is for as much recognition and money as possible, so with that in mind, I would suggest getting an editor to help you with your blurbs – they’re poorly edited/worded and it really diminishes the impact and the perceived value of your advice. Yet here I am, reading your site and posting a comment, so you must be doing something right.

  22. Who’s DMAC? Mcfadden? If so, go with him. I don’t like Moore so much since there’s Colston, Grahamn, and Sproles there.

I’m trying to trade for Romo. I was packaging Daryl Richardson + Tate for him, but he wants A. Boldin + D. Richardson. I’m getting screwed right, I want to push him to trade Romo for Bradshaw.

  23. P-Town.

    Thank you. Haters gonna Hate.

I intend to keep BEAST DOME on the underground level with that ‘street’ atmosphere. This is not a corporation. This is a one man army, I do not have to share every single thought on why I like a player as that would let you gain a deeper understanding of why I choose what I choose.

With that being said. Good luck this season and enjoy the BEAST NATION.

    But more importantly..

    BEAST YOUR LEAGUE

  24. Munt, ptown is definitely not a representative of all of us. I don’t think you should change a thing. If he’s going to criticize, maybe he should stick to espn or yahoo.

  25. Is it bad that I have Romo, Bryant, Murray, and D Bailey on the same team? I’m not really a Cowboys fan, the value just fell to me. I can play L Miller, M Wallace, A Bradshaw, or Finley instead of Murray but he seems like the best play. Thanks all.

  26. Ignoring those who don’t trust Munt. I drafted as close as I could to his idea of rb,rb,rb,te,rb, etc. This is what I ended up with in a 12 team league picking 7th with a format of qb, wr, wr, wr, rb, rb, te, flex (wr,rb,te), k,def: Lynch, Sjax, Murray, Gronk, Ball, S. Smith, Romo, M. Austin, L. Moore, Gates, D. Moore, J. Stewart, Freeman, Qb/k combo, T.B def, rb D. Thomas(mia). I’m all eggs in one basket (Dallas). Any opinions and thoughts of my team and what to look at moving forward will be appreciated. Thanks all.

  27. Just use another site dude. You are really taking this to serious. Why come on here and talk like you are god or some English teacher, talking about grammar. Seems like you are a hater. Are you really talking about sentence fragments and editors? Who cares along as the information is good and entertaining. Munt is having fun in what he is doing and he gives good advice. He has funny headlines that draw you to his articles. Keep it street Munt or ghetto as ptownblazer calls it. Lol. BEASTDOME NATION!

  28. Took J. Stewart in last round for week 6 and beyond, but this league has an IR.

So I place him on there and can pick up another player to fill his spot.
Depth is pretty equal at RB/WR/TE/QB so who would you take off waivers.

-christine, everyones deep sleeper it seems
-floyd or tate as insurance WR?
or just fill the spot with a defense, i have the Bucs week 1 vs the jets but their week 2 and 3 aren’t as pretty.

Cost $$ each move so don’t want to be dropping/adding defenses all year so might run with 2 and just play the best matchup.

  29. good squad bro. Try to get you a 5th receiver. I would drop Thomas and cuff lynch or sjax if you can. Gates is the #1 with the chargers right now. Gates might even be trade bait for a stud wr if he starts of good.

  30. roll with it man. all those cowboys are solid plays. I wouldn’t trust anybody else on your list first week.

  31. thanks for all you do and the advice..great site…this is what i have in my 12 team standard draft…this is what i ended up with in order..
    1 – rb lynch
    2 – rb jackson
    3 – rb murray
    4 – te gronk
    5 – rb ball
    6- wr jordy nelson
    7 – wr austin
8 – qb feeman (all others were taken by now – guys picking backups like romo and eli in 5th -7th rounds???)
    9 – wr boldin
    10- wr gordon
    11 – wr britt
    12 – k lindel
    13 – qb bradford
    14 – te davis
    15 – def bucs
what do you think Munt or any good advice as i am only in second year of fantasy? little worried over QB situation, stay put or try and make a trade for a better QB? if so on a trade – who do i give up? and what do i try and get? thanks again

  32. Yes I have. I’ve also seen what AJ Green can do. It’s bold, I’ll give you that. I think you’re going to be right with Montee, that’s a nice call. Think you’re downplaying David Wilson and Lamar Miller too much though. Season will tell.

  33. Calm down some man. I think his intent was good in making a few recommendations. It’s true though, Munt, you come across as arrogant and a self proclaimed fantasy savant. If your picks this season reflect your personality then I can assure you I will pay your, though a bit unreasonable, subscription fee next season. Btw, THIS is how you get noticed, by turning skeptics into believers. Know this however, I know a site that hyped Montee well before you did. Just FYI

  34. So i’m in trouble this week.

My QB’s: Cam Newton + Eli Manning
My TE’s: Jared Cook + Jermichael Finley

It’s not looking good. Should I try make a trade for a better qb for this week which would make my team worse overall, or just ride it out. Also with TE, should i pick up someone like fred davis which would mean dropping cook?

  35. Those players you mentioned adding are not great, I suggest adding the Cardinals D if it’s available, should have a decent year.

  36. Personally I think it would be worth it to give up Murray for a good QB, just wait until he starts doing as well as he should for his value to skyrocket.

Note: Site policy is ask a question, answer one. Get to it

  37. Thanks again Munt for all the advice.
Thanks to you have a solid team with McCoy, SJax, MJD, Ball as RB, but WR slightly lacking with Welker, SSmith, M Austin, K Thompkins, Floyd (ARI).
Trying to BEAST my league and anticipate the waiver wire before the round starts.
Out of the following, which two should get on board?

RB P Thomas, RB K Hunter, RB R Turbin, RB S Taylor, RB R Helu, RB I Pead, RB B Powell
WR A Roberts, WR C Patterson, WR Patton, WR R Randle, WR J Kerley

  38. I feel that it’s a long season, no point making yourself weak just for 1 game out of 16. Those are solid picks who should be fine in other weeks.

  39. Got 2 questions maybe ya’ll can help me out with. 1st league, gotta pick between Jordy Nelson, Wes Welker, and Ahmad Bradshaw to fill 1 WR and 1 FLEX position. Jordy/Wes, Wes/Ahmad, or Jordy/Ahmad.

2nd league: gotta choose between Ball and Vereen for FLEX. Could also slide Steve Smith in there, but shying away ‘cuz of Seattle D. Any help greatly appreciated.

  40. What’s up beast dome! Having a hard time figuring out which two to start out of these 3 RBS. Lynch is my RB1
    Reggie bush
    Ryan Matthews
    Montee ball

  41. Yeah, I know you did. I started reading your postings last season. The sites draftcalc.com that hyped Montee back in April immediately after the draft. They initially placed him in the top 12, but since have moved him down to 18. So, not as bold as you’re calling it. It’ll be interesting to compare your weekly rankings with one another.

  42. Was not writing Fantasy Football Articles back in April when it was Prime Time For Fantasy Baseball. That article of Montee in June was the first Football article I wrote for 2013.

You can say they called it before me, but nobody was drafting back then so it was somewhat irrelevant.

    BEAST THIS SEASON

  43. Right now I would lean towards Wes/Ahmad. The matchup against the 49ers is going to be a tough one for Jordy Nelson, but it is important that the Colts say Bradshaw will carry the full load before going with him.

2nd League. Start the season right on the #YoungMontee bandwagon.

  44. Thanks Mitch for pushing people to follow the rules.

I would just roll with Eli and Cook and see what happens for Week 1. Just a bad matchup week for all of your players, though Eli could get that 300+ Yard/2 TD game. He could, but it is not a lock.

  45. Thanks Hbomb, I know the Nation is strong and will lead everyone to BEASTING their league.

Cowboys are going to have a big season. Week 14 against Chicago in Chicago could spell the end if your other players are not strong enough to carry you.

  46. This is why I trust Muntradamus:

Won my fantasy basketball league, hands down.
Will make the playoffs in my fantasy baseball league this year.
Last season in fantasy football, Muntradamus guided be to a productive finish, though injuries to Gronkowski and Matt Bryant missing a field goal kept me from the playoffs by 2 measly points.

You should not follow guidance on rhetoric or prose alone. Results are what matter. Muntradamus clearly knows his stuff, the proof is in the pudding. No editor of street language is going to do my fantasy team any justice. We come here for professional analyses, not a lesson in grammar. Furthermore, we come here to BEAST our opponents. So step off haters.

    BEAST4LIFE

  47. pacdid,

I have similar backs and I’m rolling with Reggie in my PPR league. Mathews and the Bolts might get blown out. Montee needs a few games under his belt. I think Reggie is the best option this week.

  48. Sentence fragments??? Haven’t noticed…more concerned with the content.

Welcome to the Dome…loosen the tie a little and BEAST the season!

Munt..Love the format, content and sentence structure…always looking forward to the next article!

  49. Cam and Eli are a pretty solid QB combo. Eli should have some solid value this week against the boys to ride you thru while the Seahawks eat up poor Cam. Its easy to make bad trades early because nobody wants to lose week 1.
Also if you are just worried about this week Fred Davis -v- what little D the Eagles have is a pretty good matchup.

  50. Reggie should look pretty good once the inhuman Megatron takes the field Ds are forced to worry about that and Bush should sneak in some nice yardage with dumpoffs from Stafford.
I really don’t think poor matthews can do much against the Texans this week once SD gets behind, and its hard to know what to expect week 1 with Ball I feel like Denver has something to prove this week and is going to run up the poor Ravens tonight

  51. Two quick questions:
    1) (for Mr. Damus) Why are your rankings here different from the rankings attributed to you on FantasyPros (where it lists you as ranking Daryl Richardson 29 rather than 39 among RBs)?
    2) (all input greatly appreciated) I’m starting A Foster and L McCoy at RB. Who do I start at flex: Daryl Richardson (for the guy who will get touches); Darren Sproles (even though ATL stuffed him twice last year); Ben Tate (to capitalize on any lost Foster production)?

  52. sorry about the rules…this is all new to me…i would pick up davis for cook. i believe davis will end up top 5 te this year…i would also start eli this week – he will get good numbers…so my advice is no on a trade for a better qb this week.

  53. Starting L McCoy and A Foster at RB. Who to flex, Daryl Richardson, Darren Sproles, or Ben Tate to hedge against reduced Foster production?

  54. Hey guys need some help here. So I’m kind of screwed week 1 with Newton. Do you think I should start Freeman this week instead of Newton. Also got Olsen/J. Thomas in another league. What do you guys think?

  55. if you good at rb, kicker , and defense i would go freeman this week. I’m playing romo over newton this week. Olsen could be a good check down option this week. Thonas will be fine i think, but i dont like him this early..to many people to feed in denver.

I have ball in over mathews right now..whats your thoughts?

  56. Tough to bench Cam, as you must have drafted him as your QB1, but last year against SEA he went for 141 yds passing, 42 rushing, and a fumble (for 7.84 pts in my league). He’s always a threat to break out for a big game (almost exactly every other week last year), but Freeman’s probably the safer option. He put up 16+ pts in all but one outing against the league’s weaker defenses last year.

  57. Tough call, but I think you shouldn’t bench your stud this week. Play Cam. Seattle has a CB that is suspended, so they are a little weaker than you think.

  58. Beast nation, need advice. Should I swap Vincent Brown for Mike Williams of TB? I already have a ton of buccaneers (Freeman, Doug Martin, Vincent Jackson, and D/St). Receiver core is Vincent Jackson, Amendola, Lance Moore, Miles Austin, and Brown.

  59. I drafted Gronk in my league (5th rd!) and picked up Sudfeld to plug in while Gronk is out. Cameron is sitting on the wire in my league. Would have picked him up but drafted T. Richardson as my RB1 and didn’t want 2/9 starters on my team from the less-than-prolific Cleveland offense. Having a few second thoughts – any strong feelings out there from Muntradamus or the group about who to fill in until Gronk comes back? Also curious about any reaction to my team (drafting 10th in a 10-team PPR league with a RB/WR/TE flex):
    QB RGIII, Freeman….RB T. Richardson, M. Forte, S. Ridley, G. Bernard, B. Brown….WR Julio Jones, TY Hilton, K. Britt, D. Hopkins….TE Gronk, Sudfeld….DEF 49ers….K Forbath

  60. Ball scares me this week mainly because it appears hillman is starting. Im sure Ball will be in the mix too. The part that concerns me is if Ball misses some blocking Fox could be quick to pull him and put Moreno in. Mathews has a tough match up against Houston and I imagine they will be down in that game so not good for Mathews. I take the chance with Ball. More upside there. Better RB

  61. i wont hurt to see if vincent will produce like they been hyping him up to..you already good at wr..so the swap wont hurt you in my opinion.

  62. 1) I do not submit Sunday Rankings until Saturday Night. Only Thursday Night players are in their spot.

    2) With those options, go with the safe choice. Ben Tate. Him and Foster should combine for 30 one way or another.

  63. I may have worded the poorly. I currently have Vincent Brown, but have the chance to trade for Mike Williams

  64. Sudfeld is a good choice this week. You’ll probably want to stream TE until Gronk Comes back. That’s how I plan to go. I’m actually going to use Dickson this week against Denver.

  65. Im concerned about starting 3 Denver Broncos tonight. (Welker, Ball, J. Thomas) Do you think its an issue or do you see where i should make a change? 2 rbs 2wrs 1 flex
    Kaepernick, Vick
Mccoy, Bush, Ball, Murray, JStew, B. Brown
    Welker, S. Smith, Austin, Hartline
    J. Thomas, B Myers
    Cards
    Dawson

  66. Awesome, thanks for the advice.

Sorry about the dupe post below, my comment/awaiting approval message disappeared mid-morning and I thought I might’ve somehow offended a moderator.

  67. Should I take a flyer with Marlon Brown tonight as WR3? My available WRs are Amendola, S.Rice, Michael Floyd, R.Randle I also have Gordon, but he is not available for two weeks. My whole team is:

    QB: Stafford
    WR1: Amendola
    WR2: Rice
    WR3: Floyd (ARI)
    RB1: Charles
    RB2: C.Johnson
    TE: Graham
    flex: Vereen
    K: Akers
    D/St: Buccaneers

    Bench:

    J.Gordon
    R.Randle
    M.Brown
    B.Pierce
    J.Bell
    Gronk

  68. What’s up Fellas and BestNation…

I’m going up against last years reigning champ this week in a 10 man head2head league with let’s just say, a hefty $ buy in and payout. So, this guys got his lineup as the following:
    So Here’s mine matched up:
    -Newton -Luck
    -D.Martin -Lynch
    -Eddie Lacy -A. Morris
    -B. Marshall -Demaryius Thomas
    -Fitgerald -R. White
-Witten -Kyle Rudolph (Here’s my concern…should I pick up Davis or Cook who are both available instead of keeping B. Myers on my bench??) Continuing…
-Sproles (flex) -Flex (P. Garcon as of now…also have Ivory, P.Thomas, Givens, and G. Tate on bench)
    -Bears (D) -Bengals (D)
    -D. Bailey -M. Bryant

ESPN has my current lineup projected him 113, me 105. So based on the lineups and my options I mentioned regarding the TEs and my BENCH, anyone have some good advice to beat my opponents lineup whose lineup has double digit proj. points for every single player but Witten!?!? I’d really like to take the first win over the reigning champ. Thanks in advance guys.

  69. Sorry, the lineups got a little messed up separation wise…He has Newton, Me Luck, He has Martin, Me Lynch….etc.

  70. yeh dude. you got to go murray, bush and mccoy..no way you play ball right now over mccoy, bush, or murray.

  71. Munt- I notice you still have ball ranked high this week. IM ALL FOR BALL- but with you moving moreno up a few spots… the media saying moreno is starting and probably in most snaps. Are you still saving start ball over the likes of say Ahmad bradshaw?

I like where ball is ranked- but i feel like bradshaw even with injury concerns is a safer pick? Can you help me watch this game comfortably tonight and explain why moreno moves up but ball does not change in rankings.

I believe in you- im starting montee in flex this week. Because I want to Beast my league.

  72. Help! PPR league and I need to fill my flex position with either ahmad bradshaw, eric decker, or lance moore. I want to thank you guys for all of your help.

  73. I’ve got Ball on all my teams and he’s riding the pine for now. Between choosing a wr and rb I lean towards the rb. However, it depends on the matchup and McFadden has a decent one. I would go with Mcfadden for your flex. Good luck. BEAST!

  74. Hey kid feel confident with the birds. That whole conference has good and great defenses. And you manage one that’s going against an unproven offense. Good Luck. Beast!

  75. And thanks to you. You’re the only one that left a comment on my note below. So, once again thanks. BEAST!

  76. I’ve got Smith and dMoore too. I guess great minds think alike. I’m leaning to dMoore. Don’t really feel great about it, but hey it’s only a game. Right? Good luck, Beast!

  77. Thanks. I was thinking of dropping Thomas for N. Washington. He’s the only name left on Munt’s wr’s list. He’ll have to be my 5th.

  78. Almost Twins; my first five rnds I drafted the exact same way and got those players too. Great job! However, your right to be worried about starting your qb’s week in and week out. It’ll be a stressful season and this game should be fun. So, I’d try and make a trade. Target a qb high on Munts list without breaking the bank. Someone in your league has to be short at another position if they were drafting backups so early in the draft. Use their weekness as your strength. Good Luck. BEAST!

  79. Are you in an 8 team league? How can Davis be available? Your qb’s are solid. Today it’s 80 degrees and when this is all over it’ll be blistering cold. So, no worries it’s a long season. Good Luck. BEAST!

  80. Going to start Marlon Brown tonight as my WR3 after all….makes watching the game more fun. :D

  81. Bradshaw is the safer RB. Ball will get his goal line looks, and the reason he stays the same in Rankings is because he will get those Redzone opportunities.

If you want to be safe in Week 1, go with Ahmad.

  82. I would say Bradshaw, he has the best potential. decker’s third in the pecking order, and I don’t Moore can repeat what he’s done before to the Falcons.

  83. I think you should pick up Davis, and drop Myers. He’ll be a go to for RG3. Kyle rudolph is too fluky of a player too. Cam will also not have as good as he’s projected in espn.

  84. great call on Julius Thomas! racked up 28 pts last night in my ppr league. i picked him up as a backup for Gronkowski.

    THANK YOU MUNTS!!!

  85. A little concerned about Montee but still believing. Need to start 3 WRs out of. Larry Fitz. Steve Smith, Vincent Brown and Denarious Moore. Following Munts advice went heavy on RBs and got Gronk and also Josh Gordon. Should I start Vincent & Denarious over Smith with the bad matchup? Thanks !

  86. steve, larry, vincent..go with your studs. both chargers and oakland probably will be getting pounded, so they both will be throwing alot more than likely. Flip a coin on moore and brown

  87. I played Montee last night i am a little worried now. Do i still have a shot to win? 12 team ppr. 2rbs/2wrs/rb.wr flex My Lineup:

    Rg3/sjax/charles/ball/garcon/mike williams/graham/prater/bucs def.

    Opponent: Luck/murray/forte/bradshaw/boldin/wallace/sudfield/janikowski/gb def.

I am currently have a bunch of trades out to upgrade at wr. I am offering Julius Thomas and mike williams for decent wr. DeSean, nelson, bowe, nicks, wallace, wayne, and austin are guys i am targeting.

  88. green bay is gonna have a rough week, and wallace is gonna be on lock by miami’s corner. You still have a chance because of that. Also you’ll likely manage to pull off bowe or wayne after thomas’ great game.

  89. After last nights game are you still high on Ball? Im pretty sure I can get him in a trade cause his owner in my league played him and he was disgusted today.

  90. Need trade advice PLEASE!!!!

    My Team:
    QB: Collin kaepernick, ben roeth
RB: mccoy, forte, murray, matthews, bradshaw
    wr: r white, d jack, a boldin, c givens, j gordon
    te: gronk, julius THOMAS

    Opposing team has

wr: julio jones, vin jackson, amendola, torrey smith, miles austin, vincent brown, alshon jeffery
rb: AP, montee ball, shane vareen
    TE: jermichael finley

Im looking to trade out julius thomas and either ryan matthews/ahmad bradshaw for montee ball and danny amendola…Any trade advice would be great BEASTDOME!!!

Also what you guys think about dropping either josh gordon/chris givens for percy harvin??

  91. Peyton isnt gonna be throwing 7 td games often (plus they needed an experienced vet as security for such a big game for denver) and when not..montee will see the carries and the endzone

  92. Well i kinda need to wait on TE since gronk is hurt but which rb out of matthews/bradshaw would be more appealing to get montee ball? Also, should i wait till after they play this weekend to put in for the trade for ball? any thoughts?

  93. @wannaBEast Wait until after this weekend is my suggestion… You may be able to sell high on one of them but if I had to choose RIGHT NOW I would offer Ryan Matthews. Any owner outside of Beastdome would be crazy to not take that trade.

  94. What up EaglesFinn… Ready for another great year at BEASTDOME? And good call with Marlon Brown!

  95. Yeh offer mathews..chargers o line still has major concerns. ball is locked cause he already played..so u wouldnt get him anyways until tuesday..after monday night game.

  96. I would drop givens not gordon..he returns week 3. #1wr and he big and fast..keep him in that norv turner offense. Tavon austin bout to heat up for stl..hes to nice for them not to use him. They kept him quiet on purpose during pre season.

  97. I ended up getting DeSean Jackson. And he should be on my roster monday in time for the game. Hoping my skins win and DeSean has a good game. lol

  98. I have SJax, Murray, Bradshaw, and Mathews as my RBs in a 2WR,2RB, 2Flex 14 team-.5 PPR league. I have gronk and J Thomas as me TEs. What do you think about selling high on J Thomas and Bradshaw for Ball? I figured I could pick up B celek since I have Vick as my QB.

  99. Munt and The Nation,

my 3rd receiver slot is a mess and I am conflicted who to start there. I have Denarius Moore, Vincent Brown, and Nate Washington. Who do I play Week 1 as my 3rd WR? I got Megatron and Amendola for the other 2 wrs.

  100. I wouldnt trade any of them until after this weekend. If Balls owner played him this week Im sure you can get him for lower value than Mathews/Bradshaw as they prolly will lose this week and regret starting him.

  101. definitely, try to move mathews, if you can make that deal for ball and amendola i think its a no brainer.

  102. sorry didnt see your original post. I would definitely make the trade with Mathews. Your RBs are stacked and Amendola will improve your WR core which is a little lacking. Gronk prolly returns next week, if not, week 3. So you need a TE filler for one week but Amendola should make up the difference

  103. i would also drop givens instead of gordon, I just dropped mike williams for percy in my league, and held on to josh gordon. You just have to be perpared to see a player on pup on your bench for a long time, but as long as your commited to not dropping him, i like the move. your team is plenty deep to sit a stud like Percy for the first half of the season

  104. Thinking because of matchups, I’m going to start DeAndre Hopkins over Steve Smith. Thoughts? Am I being too cute? Should I just start my starters week 1?

  105. Need to figure out my flex:
    Starting V.Jax, D.Amendola, McCoy, Bush

WR: Miles Austin, Lance Moore, Hakeem Nicks

    RB: Chris Johnson.

    Thanks guys.

  106. Forte or Fitzgerald for my flex? Both are apparently busts for the week. Starting Bowe and Djax as WRs and McCoy & SJax for RBs.

  107. i dont think you would need to give that much for ball, you might be able to go just bradshaw for ball straight up.

  108. Hey guys. New to this site. Just wondering if I should start DeMarco Murray or Reggie Bush at my flex spot.

  109. Munt ranked Murray higher than Bush…i would go with the rankings and start Murray at the flex

  110. munt has steve smith ranked higher, and WR is his strongest position, so i would go with smith

  111. I think i woould go with Fitz over forte, but you can get at munt on twitter sunday before the games, he does Q and A sunday morning

  112. go with your stud in this situation..don’t trust Hopkins cause of the matchup. He hasn’t proven anything yet

  113. Bradshaw, he’ll be getting the ball all day. Miles will have a good game, but Bradshaw will have the better overall game.

  114. What do you guys think abouth Roddy White on a bum ankle? Heard he is active for today but thinking of benching him over a healthy Lance Moore.

  115. Hello, Neat post. There is an issue along with your website in web

part of it and i also have you saved as a favorite to look at new information on your web site.

  120. Hey, how’s it going?

I want to pass along some very important news that everyone needs to hear!

In December of 2017, Donald Trump made history by recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Why is this big news? Because by this the Jewish people of Israel are now able to press forward in bringing about the Third Temple prophesied in the Bible.

Jewish Rabbis have publicly announced that their Messiah will be revealed in the coming years who will be a leader and spiritual guide to all nations, gathering all religions under the worship of one God.

Biblical prophecy tells us that this Jewish Messiah who will take the stage will be the antichrist “who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God” (2 Thessalonians 2:4). For a time he will bring about a false peace, but “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (Matthew 24:15)…then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be” (Matthew 24:21).

More importantly, the power that runs the world wants to put a RFID microchip in our body making us total slaves to them. This chip matches perfectly with the Mark of the Beast in the Bible, more specifically in Revelation 13:16-18:

“He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.”

Referring to the last days, this could only be speaking of a cashless society, which we have yet to see, but are heading towards. Otherwise, we could still buy or sell without the mark amongst others if physical money was still currency. This Mark couldn’t be spiritual because the word references two different physical locations. If it was spiritual it would just say in the forehead. RFID microchip implant technology will be the future of a one world cashless society containing digital currency. It will be implanted in the right-hand or the forehead, and we cannot buy or sell without it. Revelation 13:11-18 tells us that a false prophet will arise on the world scene doing miracles before men, deceiving them to receive this Mark. Do not be deceived! We must grow strong in Jesus. AT ALL COSTS, DO NOT TAKE IT!

“Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name” (Revelation 14:9-11).

People have been saying the end is coming for many years, but we needed two key things. One, the Third Temple, and two, the technology for a cashless society to fulfill the prophecy of the Mark of the Beast.

Visit http://WWW.BIBLEFREEDOM.COM to see proof for these things and why the Bible truly is the word of God!

If you haven’t already, it is time to seek God with all your heart. Jesus loves you more than you could imagine. He wants to have a relationship with you and redeem you from your sins. Turn to Him and repent while there is still hope! This is forever…God bless!

“EITHER HUMAN INTELLIGENCE ULTIMATELY OWES ITS ORIGIN TO MINDLESS MATTER OR THERE IS A CREATOR…” – JOHN LENNOX

We all know God exists. Why? Because without Him, we couldn’t prove anything at all. Do we live our lives as if we cannot know anything? No. So why is God necessary? In order to know anything for certain, you would have to know everything, or have revelation from somebody who does. Who is capable of knowing everything? God. So to know anything, you would have to be God, or know God.

A worldview without God cannot account for the uniformity and intelligibility of nature. And why is it that we can even reason that God is the best explanation for this if there is no God? We are given reason to know or reject God, but never to know that He does not exist.

It has been calculated by Roger Penrose that the odds of the initial conditions for the big bang to produce the universe that we see to be a number so big, that we could put a zero on every particle in the universe, and even that would not be enough to use every zero. What are the odds that God created the universe? Odds are no such thing. Who of you would gamble your life on one coin flip?

Is there evidence that the Bible is the truth? Yes. Did you know that the creation accounts listed in the book of Genesis are not only all correct, but are also in the correct chronological order? That the Bible doesn’t say the Earth was formed in six 24-hour days but rather six long but finite periods of time? That the Bible makes 10 times more creation claims than all major “holy” books combined with no contradictions, while these other books have errors in them? The Bible stood alone by concurring with the big bang saying, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth” (Genesis 1:1); and says our universe is expanding, thousands of years before scientists discovered these things. Jesus came to pay a debt that we could not; to be our legal justifier to reconcile us back to a Holy God; only if we are willing to receive Him: “For the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23).

God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten son, so that whoever believes in Him, through faith, shall not perish, but have everlasting life. Jesus says if we wish to enter into life to keep the commands! The two greatest commands are to love God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind; and your neighbor as yourself. All the law hang on these commands. We must be born of and lead by the Holy Spirit, to be called children of God, to inherit the kingdom. If we are willing to humble ourselves in prayer to Jesus, to confess and forsake our sins, He is willing to give the Holy Spirit to those who keep asking of Him; giving us a new heart, leading us into all truth!

Jesus came to free us from the bondage of sin. The everlasting fire was prepared for the devil and his angels due to disobedience to God’s law. If we do the same, what makes us any different than the devil? Jesus says unless we repent, we shall perish. For sin is the transgression of the law. We must walk in the Spirit so we may not fulfill the lusts of the flesh, being hatred, fornication, drunkenness and the like. Whoever practices such things will not inherit the kingdom (Galatians 5:16-26). If we sin, we may come before Jesus to ask for forgiveness (1 John 2:1-2). Evil thoughts are not sins, but rather temptations. It is not until these thoughts conceive and give birth by our own desires that they become sin (James 1:12-15). When we sin, we become in the likeness of the devil’s image, for he who sins is of the devil (1 John 3:8); but if we obey Jesus, in the image of God. For without holiness, we shall not see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

The oldest religion in the world is holiness through faith (James 1:27). What religion did Adam and Eve follow before the fall? Jesus, Who became the last Adam, what religion does He follow? Is He not holy? He never told us to follow the rituals and traditions of man but to take up our cross and follow Him (Luke 9:23). There are many false doctrines being taught leading people astray. This is why we need the Holy Spirit for discernment. Unlike religion, holiness cannot be created. It is given to us from above by the baptism of the Spirit. Jesus is more than a religion; He is about having a personal relationship with the Father. Start by reading the Gospel of Matthew, to hear the words of God, to know His character and commandments. Follow and obey Jesus, for He is the way, the truth, and the life!

  126. Hey! Someone in my Facebook group shared this website with us so I came to check it out.
I’m definitely loving the information. I’m book-marking and will be tweeting this to my followers!
    Outstanding blog and terrific design.
