Muntradamus Calls Of The Week (8)

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

I hope you all had a great fantasy football Sunday.  Sorry about the Chat room situation this morning, WEB is fixing it and we will have an extra CHAT that will be announced later this week to field your questions.

This is a new segment, I have had a lot of good calls this season that has led me to my #9 Ranking overall Ranking coming into Week 8.
I had Shonn Greene ranked higher than every expert during his 3 TD outbreak.

I had Devery Henderson higher than every expert during his 120+ Yard/1 TD breakout performance against the Chargers on Sunday Night.

And many many more.

Now it is time to start keeping track of these gems.

Here are the top 10 Muntradamus Calls of the Week (8)

*ECR (Expert Consensus Ranking from all the Top Fantasy Websites)

#10

KYLE RUDOLPH – TE – MIN

Muntradamus TE Rank #17

Expert Consensus TE Rank #9

Results: 2 Receptions/17 Yards.

Am I in love with this pick running up and down the streets like I just saved the day?  No.  But still this is a good pick as his ECR (Expert Consensus Ranking was #9).  Rudolph was on the bad end of 2 Reception 17 Yard day.

#9

JIMMY GRAHAM – TE – NO

Muntradamus TE Rank #3

Expert Consenus Rank #5

Results: 5 Receptions/63 Yards/1 TD

Not the sexiest of picks, but I gave you no reason to worry when you woke up Sunday morning to see that Graham was still a Top 5 option in my eyes.  He performed to a level that made all of his fantasy owners happy.  Some sites had him ranked around #20, some did not even include him to take the risk.

#8

JAY CUTLER – QB – CHI

Muntradamus QB Rank #21

Expert Consensus Rank #15

Result: 186 Passing Yards/ 1 TD/ 1 INT

I did not let any Beast Dome member think I gave Jay Cutler a chance this week.  As I suggested Brandon Marshall would get 90% of his stats going into the game, that ended up being the case.  Brandon Marshall 9 Points (Non-PPR).  Jay Cutler (10 Points (-2 INT)).

#7

JOSH FREEMAN – QB – TB

Muntradamus QB Rank #11

Expert Consensus Rank #17

Result: 236 Passing Yards/3 TDs

I warned you all about the Freeman outbreak.  Now he is just showing off. TDs A Make Them Dance, Espisode II coming this week.

#6

WES WELKER – WR – NE

Muntradamus WR Rank #20

Expert Consensus Rank #10

Result: 6 Receptions/48 Yards

No matter how you put it, that is not a top 10 day.  These rankings are non PPR so he ends up with 4 Points.  Gronk and Lloyd stole the show as I suggested in my rankings.

#5

DOUG MARTIN – RB – TB

Muntradamus RB Rank #11

Expert Consensus Rank #18

Result: 29 Carries/135 Yards/1 TD Rushing. 3 Receptions/79 Yards/ 1 TD Receiving.

He essentially had a great RB #1 day, combined with a great WR #2 day.  Does not get much better than that for fantasy owners.  What makes this pick even more special is the #1 Overall Ranker had Doug Martin at #26 which is worst than any expert.  Sure to give me a boost.

#4

SIDNEY RICE – WR – SEA

Muntradamus WR Rank #21

Expert Consensus Rank #35

Result: 6 Receptions/55 Yards/ 1 TD.

Did you break your necks Sunday Busta Rhymes style?  Well you had every right to as Sidney was on his way to a monster game getting a TD early in the 2nd Quarter.  None came after that, but it was still nice a day which could have been even bigger. Only if Flynn was QB.

#3

WILLIS MCGAHEE – RB – DEN

Muntradamus RB Rank #1

Expert Consensus Rank #6

Result: 23 Carries/122 Yards/1 TD Rushing. 2 Receptions/33 Yards Receiving.

Great call here as McGahee is the #2 RB behind Doug Martin going into Monday Night.  This is sure to give me a huge rankings boost, and none better to see the guy who I ranked higher than everyone in my preseason rankings give me the big boost.

# 2

BRANDON LLOYD – WR – NE

Muntradamus WR Rank #10

Expert Consensus Rank #29

Result: 2 Receptions/28 Yards/2 TDs

Could have been a much bigger day, still this was a pick I was protecting until kickoff from the Nation.  There are too many DRAFTSTREET and Fan Duel users who I compete against that use my rankings so this was moved slowly throughout the week.  VIPs got the tidbit for their salary cap teams, and you can create your own Salary Cap Team too with my guidance in the VIP program.

# 1

JAMAAL CHARLES – RB – KC

Muntradamus RB Rank #12

Expert Consensus Rank #2

Result: 5 Carries/4 Yards. 3 Receptions/ 6 Yards.

Having Charles ranked the 2nd lowest in the industry is going to give me a boost that should push me to #1.  Especially when a majority of every Fantasy Website you look at has him ranked #1/#2/#3.

  1. I have no idea how you called Jaamal Charles having a terrible game. You truly are Muntradamus

  2. Great calls as usual!!! I should come to expect it…but I’m always amazed when other fantasy sites or the national media start to promote players that you wrote about several weeks earlier. I have a feeling you might have a few “expert” type visitor’s through the week

  3. I’d love to see bad calls of the week, too. I try to read the sites and analysis of all of the top 10-15 fantasy experts, and the trouble is differentiating good calls from bad calls. You also had Vincent Jackson ranked below ECR and Witten ranked at almost twice the ECR. I’m a huge fan of your site, analysis on how some calls went wrong and whether it might have been foreseeable would be awesome to see in addition to your successful calls.

  4. Baller. As if anyone needed more convincing that Munt is the real deal. Hope you get the #1 expert ranking boss.

For all you doubters and non-believers, the good FAR FAR outweighs the bad as you can see. Any “expert” can get lucky with a few picks that beat the ECR. Munt is a TOP expert because he is consistently makin a lot more good calls than bad ones. He also won a 1000 person tourney last week and gets a trip to Vegas! Props on another great week bro.

  5. You r not successful because success is temporary, you are excellence in the making. Keep it up.

  6. no i wouldnt trade away murray and williams for battle and rice. Battle is history now, unless matthews gets hurt again..Mike will be targeted alot more with vjax on the other side..good schedule also.
