  1. SO I have David Wilson as my RB2, should I be worried? I have Andre Brown in my IR slot. My other RB are CJ Spiller, Reggie Bush, Ben Tate, Joique Bell, Roy Helu.

  2. Love the Haiku’s….great stuff!!
I ended up missing the early games so it was great to get an overview of the players / teams.
Think I might play back in a dimly lit smoke filled room…snapping fingers in between the team analysis.

  3. One, David Wilson had a very bad match up. Two, you picked about the riskiest back you could as your RB2. He’s either a bust, or has a good game. Most of the time this year, I think he’s a bust.

  4. Just wondering how everyone did with the QB&K strategy. I had Luck & Vinatieri playing against Ryan & Pratter and it was basically a tie.

  5. 12 team league:

    Peyton Manning
    Hakeem Nicks
    Greg Jennings
    Marshawn Lynch
    Alfred Morris
    Jermichael Finley
    Stevan Ridley

    Steve Johnson
    Brian Hartline
    Roy Helu
    Shonn Greene
    Vincent Brown

I am going to get a loss week one, jennings and ridley both make me very nervous… what should i do here?

  6. The QB/K strategy isn’t necessarily a given to prosper where the Kicker and QB both boom. It’s really meant to be a hedge against a bust QB day. If you got a good QB, chances are that if they are having a bad day, the field position will still be there, hence the field goals.

Brady yesterday got 288 yd, 2 td. = About 19 points.
Gostkowski did really well. = About 13 points.

Together, they got about 32 points.

    Andrew Luck had 25 points.
    Vinateiri had 3 points.

    Together, 28 points.

Luck finished all the TD’s and Vinatieri finished PAT’s. See how it balances out? It’s basically a hedge as I said. Even tho Brady got bested by Luck by 6 points, you essentially caught Brady’s remaining non-TD’s points with Gostkowski’s leg.

  7. Peyton is a beast.
Hakeem = #1 target on this team although he didn’t get the TD.
Jennings = has ponder and is a deep ball receiver, so roll of the dice, yet jerome simpson came up big so wait on him…
Lynch = will be fine. Tough carolina D.
Morris = no reason to be nervous yet; hasn’t played
Finley = new player this year
Ridley = with vereen out now, will get a chance to regain trust. has had fumble issues in past with chance to re prove himself.
Steve Johnson = #1 target for EJ manuel
Hartline = #1 target so far for tannehill; will at least split targets with Wallace
Helu = good hedge for Morris
Greene = see if you can pickup someone better. Who’s on waiver wire? Monitor who the NYG sign to assist with David Wilson. If it’s like McGahee, I’d snag him.
V.Brown = wait and see tonight

I think your team is in a great spot right now. You have an elite QB, at least 2 elite RB’s and most likely 3 top 15 or so RB’s, you have a top TE, and good WR depth. My only suggestion would be to try and find RB’s in some better situations on the wire.

    Good luck!

  8. I would say Reggie Bush is your RB2 on that team. Even before yesterday’s breakout performance and Wilson’s flop. No point in trying to move Wilson now as it’s too late. You’ll get no value for your 2nd/3rd round investment.

Regardless, you have good depth at RB. Keep a look out as to who the NYG sign to help with David Wilson at RB. Who are your QB’s / WR’s?

  9. well i had Romo and Bailey…Romo got me 20 pts…Bailey 13…i was happy. My opponent got 19 pts with Witten though..i was not happy.

  10. Draft went not as planned and only ended up with 3RB’s (Murray, Forte, Martin) and Helu on the bench. Worth waiver to add Joiquel Bell and drop Helu?

In a 2 QB league, I have Eli and Big Ben, with Josh Freeman on the bench. The Steelers offense looks shaky behind that O-line. Have EJ Manuel, Pryor, and Geno on the wire. Think it’s worth a drop/add for any of those to replace Ben?

  11. Of those 3 id Go Ej
Against a good defense things went his way
The Steelers dont look good-thats the least I can say
Use the waiver wire- Ej all day.

  12. Of Those 3 Id Go EJ.
The way Ben Played its the only way
Ej Looked good against a strong D that can play
Nothing left to say- use that waiver on EJ all day.

  13. Hello Beastdome,
I’m having a pretty solid week, and awaiting DeSean Jackson’s performance with a lead of 23points before Monday football. My competitor has LeSean McCoy and Owen Daniels left as well, so we will see what happens. My current roster is the following:
QBs: Matt Stafford, & Eli Manning
RBs: Adrian Peterson, Steven Jackson, DeMarco Murray, Reggie Bush, & Ben Tate
WRs: Danny Amendola, DeSean Jackson, Brandon Marshall, Hakeem Nicks, & Jordy Nelson
TEs: Jermicheal Finley, and Rob Gronkowski
    D/ST: Buccaneers
    K: David Akers

I am in an 8-man standard league against some frat brothers and just got offered an interesting trade. Here is the trade: I trade Reggie Bush for Stevan Ridley, and Dez Bryant? Stevan Ridley worries me because of his error the other day, then benched. Along with that, Dez Bryant hurt his ankle and did not receive much looks from Romo. Should I keep Bush or trade for these talented players while they are low?

    Cordially,
    Scream

  14. if you play with a flex position id prolly keep bush…u have good enough wides and top rbs are hard to come by…I also dont trust romo for a sec…either way thats a tough call, might need munt to answer that 1

  15. I wouldn’t make the trade. You have four top RB’s along with Top WR’s. Even with Vereen be out and you don’t have to worry about Ridley sitting i would prefer to play Bush instead of Ridley. Also, taking the trade I guess Tate would be the candidate to drop? Depending upon the playing time / health with Foster you might be able to use Tate so you can benefit from a 2 for 1 trade.

  16. please go back to posting your haikus instead of recoding them Munt. They were one of the best parts of the week!
