These are players I would bench in my Fantasy League if I had the better fantasy option.  So far this season at least one player in this article has always had a breakout week.  Who will it be this week…

COLIN KAEPERNICK – QB – SF

ECR #13

MUNTRADAMUS #19

Colin Kaepernick continues to look like a Fantasy QB that is hard to trust in all leagues.  Playing against a tough Cardinals defense which should have every answer for Anquan Boldin, it will be tough to see Kaepernick getting the Fantasy numbers we once saw in 2012.  Especially in Week 6.

ALEX SMITH – QB – KC

ECR # 14

MUNTRADAMUS #24

If there is a worst starting QB in the NFL, it is Blaine Gabbert.  Alex Smith is a in a tier above Blaine as far as talent level goes, but Alex Smith has an IQ which is the only difference.  This QB has no arm strength, and he is as conservative as it gets.  On a Fantasy Football level, all he does is steal Jamaal Charles’  potential TDs.

FRED JACKSON – RB – BUF

ECR #22

MUNTRADAMUS #32

The Bengals Defense is really good at stopping the run.  Fred Jackson fits the mold for what this Bengals Defense wants an opponent’s RB to be like.  The Bills are going to want to see if CJ Spiller can take the next step in taking this job away, and it all starts in this matchup.

DEANGLO WILLIAMS – RB – CAR

ECR #15

MUNTRADAMUS #23

If I were to guess I am going to be wrong on any of these picks, I would put money on this one.  DeAnglo Williams has been very hit or miss but could tear up a Vikings Defense that will be afraid of Cam Newton.

JAMES JONES – WR – GB

ECR #28

MUNTRADAMUS #37

James Jones is going to be very hit or miss this week.  The Packers WR core is now 100% healthy, and the only way James get his numbers is on a couple long balls.

DESEAN JACKSON – WR – PHI

ECR #18

MUNTRADAMUS #31

Darrelle Revis has sent a trap invitation for Desean Jackson to visit Revis Island.  Desean can run past him, but Revis can push him to the ground.  Desean will have a long day, but he could have two passes that give him a big Fantasy game.

BRANDON MYERS – TE – NYG

ECR #15

MUNTRADAMUS #23

Pascoe takes enough targets to take away Brandon Myers Fantasy job.  For now.

EAGLES – D/ST – PHI

ECR #14

MUNTRADAMUS #22

I would personally not start the Eagles this week.  Glennon should have this team playing with more confidence after the bye week.  Eagles defense has hardly been a trustworthy start all season, no reason to think a change is coming.

ALEX HENERY – K – PHI

ECR #11

MUNTRADAMUS #23

Eagles will have enough trouble moving the ball where Henery will only get a few shots this week.

  1. The Eagles D is ranked #28, calling them a bust is not much of a stretch for the readers, good call for moving up in fantasy pros though. Best of Luck to you Munt. I do like the direction the Web site has taken lately, and thanks for providing a great service.

  2. …smooth and steady course
Tracking the BEAST for several years….I haven’t noticed a change in direction. I usually work my research backwards…”IF” i hit the fantasypros site, it’s usually to see how the Beast feels about a particular player.

  3. You two do realize that Fantasy Pros does its rankings on fantasy experts based on subjective opinion? Theres not stats being used on how accurate a fantasy expert is. Take a look at Week 4 or 5 rankings, and see how much Munt DOMINATED everyone, and yet, he did not move that much higher in the rankings. Fantasy Pros is a JOKE.

  4. Thanks bandre4… Honestly I couldn’t tell u where fantasy pros post their expert rankings. Never bother or care to check. I only hit the site to get Muntz’s take on a player if his rankings get buried by more recent posted articles on beast dome.
