UPDATED: WEEK 11 RANKINGS W/ ANALYSIS

Coming Saturday

BUSTS

*All Rankings Will Be Finalized Saturday Night in the Updated Rankings above.

JOE FLACCO – QB – BAL

MUNTRADAMUS QB RANK: #22
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #20

Flacco was my sleeper pick of the Week (10).  He was my Bust of the Week at QB Week (11).  Now he finds himself back on a list he wishes he was never part of.

Chargers Defense is not a bad unit and Flacco does not travel well.  While everyone got way too overexcited about this no huddle offense, the high flying Ravens have become a semi-inconsistent bunch.  Minus Ray Rice who would be good on any team.

JAMAAL CHARLES – RB – KC

MUNTRADAMUS RB RANK: #28
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #11

Fantasy Experts get excited about Jamaal Charles like a little kid gets excited about going to Toys-R-Us.  The second he has any success people think he is an automatic #1 starter.

One, Brady Quinn is the QB this week.  That automatically means they are losing.  Two, they are playing the Broncos.  Who have one of the best run defenses in the NFL.  Three, Peyton Hillis and Shaun Draughn get too many touches.

Add that all up together, and you got yourself the Bust of the Week.

DARREN SPROLES – RB – NO

MUNTRADAMUS RB RANK: #51
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #29

Here’s one you can be talking about for ages.

The Saints offense is stacked with talent at the RB position.  Sproles has to compete with Pierre Thomas who dominates NFC South opponents.  He also has to compete with Christopher Ivory who at times looks like Marshawn Lynch wearing a Saint Jersey.  Third, we got Mark Ingram who is the future of the Saints backfield.

Sproles will have to hope to get most of his points through receptions, because when we look at total yards I would take the under on 50.

TORREY SMITH – WR – BAL

MUNTRADAMUS WR RANK: #43
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #23

Guess whose back, back, back.  Back again.

Torrey’s back, with his friend Joe Flacco.  Torrey can always get one of those long TDs which makes this pick look terrible, but he usually does not.  The Chargers have a good secondary, and Flacco is as bad as Jennifer Lopez’s Maid in Manhattan.

T.Y. HILTON – WR – IND

MUNTRADAMUS WR RANK: #56
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #37

T.Y. aka “Thank You Hilton” is known as the Donnie Avery stealer.  When Avery has a bad game, it is likely because Thank You was the man getting the points.  Everytime Hilton does well, Avery is either injured during the game, or simply just caught one of his few long balls.

With Donnie Avery practicing this week after suffering a concussion last.  Time to remember why T.Y. was never drafted in any league before, why should he be a starter this late in the year.

DWAYNE ALLEN – TE – IND

MUNTRADAMUS TE RANK: #38
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #16

Ladies and Gentleman of the BEAST DOME NATION.

My solution to getting back in the TE Rankings can come back in a big way if Coby Fleener suits up Sunday.  Dwayne Allen is currently placed if that were to happen as people do not realize.  Coby and Luck played together in Stanford.  If Fleener never got injured, Allen would be an inconsistent TE best left for the waiver wire.  We can only hope.

BLAIR WALSH – K – MIN

MUNTRADAMUS K RANK: #28
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #16

The Blair Walsh we all love and adore is not going to be existent this week.  The Vikings are going to be very raw without Percy Harvin this week, making it Adrian Peterson vs. the world.

While AP should win that battle just because he is that good, we are going to see all or nothing plays.  Which means Walsh will only be on the field so very little.

TEXANS – D/ST – HOU

MUNTRADAMUS D/ST RANK: #14
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #4

I saw some Matthew Stafford fantasy fans contemplating how good he is in my Rankings section.  Here’s my message to you.

Stafford throws bombs and plenty of them.  A player with his arm will get 5000 Yards one way or another.  If he continues this rate, we may even see 6000 Yards.  Go grab Ryan Broyles if you have not already.

  1. To Tebow666,you think knowshon is going to show out?with mannings comments from yesterday,he said this would be a great opportunity for him.if it’s rbbc in Denver like everyone says, then why not say that about Hillman? How strong do you feel about him starting? As I am thinking about using him in my flex.need to win this week to make the playoffs,or rather stay in contention for playoffs.

  2. Sean, see my reply to you in the rankings thread.

Basically, I would only start him if hes the starter this week. If you have a safer play I would plan to go w that.
Matchup is great but nobody knows how the carries will be split.
