Fantasy Football Bust of The Week: Cry Me A River (Week 11)

Fantasy Football Bust of The Week:

Cry Me A River (Week 11)

Beast Dome Nation.

Phillip Rivers started out the 2013 season like it was 2010.  He was picking up TDs easily, he was throwing for 300, even 400 Yards, and Antonio Gates looked like he was 27 again.

Then the season started to get underway, and when everyone progressed, Rivers digressed.  Now we are in Week 11 and it is fair to say that Rivers has become a BEAST or BUST QB.  Playing against a tough Dolphins defense that has not allowed offenses to reach their full potential.  Another BUST week could happen before our very eyes.

QBRivers

The Dolphins pass defense is special because of their Safety, Reshad Jones.  Reshad is good enough where those lazy flying ducks that Rivers is so fond of throwing, will end up in the arms of Jones’ more often than not.

Yes there is no doubt that Rivers has a talented core around him.  Keenan Allen is a WR #3 in Fantasy Football, while Eddie Royal and Vincent Brown are all capable of big games.  Not to mention their Top 6 TE in Antonio Gates.  Rivers has all the tools he needs.

The main tool that Rivers needs, is a good matchup.  This week against a Dolphins Pass defense that is more than capable of holding a medicore Rivers to a less than Must-Start Game.  I would look for a different option.

RIVERS IS OUTSIDE OF THE TOP 12 QBS THIS WEEK

246 Yards. 2 TDs.

  1. True that the RB2 for Denver is valuable, MJD is RB1 for a JAX team that is playing better. I don’t know the rest of your team but if you have 3 other RB1’s on your team, I would say go for it. Luckily Fox was not coaching or Ball’s fumble might have put him behind Anderson.

  2. I wouldn’t put the blame on Montee for the fumble. Fantasy gave the fumble to Peyton Manning. If anything it was both of their faults, but I don’t think Anderson goes ahead of Montee. Montee is the Broncos future back.

  3. It’s a lottery ticket with Ball but lately it is paying off in Vulture TD’s. If Moreno misses any time Ball is a high RB1

  4. Damn! Munt is the man! His helped me get Julius Thomas off waivers way back before the season started, I drafted Gronk in the fifth round cuz MUnt said so and everyone was laughing at me when I drafted Gronk, now there after Gronk! I just picked up young Montee from waiver, some dude dropped him last week…should I flex play Montee week 12 vs NE Sunday night? Ppr league
