THE ADVENTURES OF NEW AND OLD CHRISTINE

(MARSHAWN LYNCH)

By Muntradamus

MARSHAWN LYNCH – RB – SEA

28 Years Old.

Most Physical RB in the NFL.

Arguably the best RB in the NFL, but we will give it to Adrian Peterson.

Just Won the Superbowl and carried the Seahawks offense on his back.

Including 249 Rushing Yards and 3 TDs in the two playoffs games leading to the Superbowl.

Only 3 Games all season Lynch did not have either; over 100 yards or a TD.

Despite all this.

Numerous Fantasy Sites consider Lynch a BUST?

Marshawn Lynch has been a consistent BEAST every season for the Seahawks since his first year being their “Workhorse” in 2011.

MARSHAWN LYNCH

Lynch6

Lynch is arguably coming off of his best season where he made career highs in Receiving Yards/Receiving TDs/Total TDs.

Lynch not only set career highs, he carried the Seahawks to a Superbowl.

Lynch is only 28 Years Old.  Hall-Of-Fame potential RB’s like Marshawn Lynch do not break down at 28 Years Old.

Lynch comes into the season 100% healthy.

Still..

Everyone is raving about Christine Michael

CHRISTINE MICHAEL vs. MARSHAWN LYNCH

CHRISTINE MICHAEL

If you watch that entire video, and tell me that Marshawn Lynch is in jeopardy of losing playing time to this guy.  Just leave for ESPN or CBS.  Marshawn Lynch is the definition of a BEAST.  Those huge carries CHRISTINE MICHAEL was pulling off at Texas A&M going untouched for 30 yards at a time.  That does not happen in the NFL.

MARSHAWN LYNCH

MARSHAWN LYNCH was in consideration for my #1 Fantasy RB rank this season, but the upside of Arian Foster and the PPR factor made me decide on Foster.  Lynch will get his numbers no doubt this season as no defense can bring him down.

If the Seahawks decide to play Christine Michael in crucial situations, the Seahawks will not be in the Superbowl in 2014.  The Seahawks will not be the strongest team in the NFC West.  The Seahawks will not be an offense that can control the clock.

CONCLUSION

MARSHAWN LYNCH is the heart and soul of the Seahawks offense.  LYNCH is nowhere close to done in his career and continues to run harder than any RB in the NFL.  CHRISTINE MICHAEL is simply a change of pace RB when Lynch needs a breather, or the 21 point 4th Quarter Blowouts occur.  ROBERT TURBIN will likely be splitting 3rd down RB duties with CHRISTINE.

CHRISTINE MICHAEL is nothing but a handcuff to MARSHAWN LYNCH.

If you let Marshawn Lynch slip in your Fantasy Football Draft.

Then you are just another goat following the Herd.

  1. Muntz,

@ what date in August will Mr. Skittles hold out affect your ranking??

    Snowman

  2. The holdout probably helps him. He never did much during training camp anyways, and it is probably giving him even more rest for the season since he is such physical RB. The dude is one of the few rb’s that does not need much, if any practice. He is a rare breed indeed.

  3. The holdout is not a real holdout.

He said he would report in 5-6 days. He just wants more money like all the defensive superstars on the team. Do you really think the Seahawks would bench Marshawn Lynch because he misses a week or two of training camp.

  4. I’m buying that Lynch is a beast. Indisputable. But even AP broke down the year before last. You play risks in this game, and with each successive year that passes, the risk that a player like Lynch gets hurt due to the number of touches he has in the past 3 years, but moreso the style he plays, goes up. I think Michael has tremendous upside. They play a different style, and Michael is much quicker and faster than Lynch. Lynch has to be able to plow through defenders because he can’t outrun or deke them out. Michael is blessed with jets, moves and size, so comparing their games isn’t fair because they’re quite different. Change of pace? Hardly. I think Michael could put up similar numbers to Lynch in that offence. In a redraft – Lynch all the way. But in a keeper or dynasty, I’m owning more Michael than Lynch because of the risks involved and Lynch’s contractual questions going forward.

  5. When did AP Break down. The year before last? 2012? 2097 Rushing yards.

I agree with you that Marshawn Lynch is a violent player with the way he runs. But violent works in his favor as defenders are usually the one who are suffering the big hits. Defenders are not knocking Marshawn Lynch with big hits. Defenders are doing what they can to bring him down sacraficing everything their body has.

Christine may have jets. He may have moves. He may have a little bit size for those moves.

But going untouched for 30 yards does not happen in the NFL. He also goes down on 1st contact more often than not in the NFL.

If Christine Michael was the only RB for the Seahwaks, he does not put up Marshawn Lynch numbers.

Marshawn creates his own numbers, Christine Michael will just get what the defense gives him.

You are comparing a BEAST to a young good RB. You cannot make the comparison.

And if you are in a Keeper or Dynasty League and you pass on Lynch this season. You are passing on a Championship this season, and next season, and next season. Marshawn Lynch is not going anywhere anytime soon. Seattle is his home and the Seahawks will do what it takes to keep him there.

  6. I just needed to hear this, as a Seahawks fan. The 5-6 days of holdout part eluded me.

  7. I don’t like his attitude this year. If he comes back will he go 100% or half azz the season? I just don’t like his mind set with the hold out and debating retirement, not the words I like to hear from a sure first rounder. Again, my concern is not his skills, it’s his mind set, acting like i already have a ring, I have nothing else to prove. What do yall think?

  8. So many doubters and others following the HERD…BAAAAAHHHH…its AWESOME. The last few mock drafts I have done, on CBS sports I am the 10-11th pick in a 14 team, and I end up with Foster in rd 1, and Lynch in rd2… two rb1 because of so many damn doubters, even on this site that SHOULD BE supporting Munts views… two number 1 running backs in the first two rounds? SIGN ME UP!!!! Get running backs, and more running backs… so many wide receivers you can get in the 3rd, 4th, and even 7-10th rounds that have WR 1/ WR 2 potential its not even funny (*List has been deleted due to giving away VIP WRs*) Keep Beasting Munt.

  9. Once Marshawn goes on the field, he leaves everything off the field, AWAY from the field. When he starts playing, thats all that matters. He loves Seattle, Seattle loves him… stop worrying.

  10. @Ben andre, bro all I’m saying is I can’t help to question all the recent stuff with Lynch. His holding out, heck what if he doesn’t even play, he did throw out the word retirement. From what I’ve seen from Lynch is very prideful and he sticks to his gunz. I’m not questioning Munt. ..shit he was my friend first! Ain’t that right Munt?! Tell him… bajajaja. ..Munt your the man and because of your knowledge I Beasted my league last year and you have a soldier in me, I’ll go to fantasy battle with you. ..I will draft Lynch if that’s your advice.

  11. Semantics on the AP point – was the year before that. Point is he got hurt. His injury occurred a little earlier in his career (same for Charles) which allowed him to recover faster than he would a couple of years later and well, he’s a physical specimen unlike most on this planet. He may hurt DBs, but trust me, big collisions affect both parties. He’s got much more under his belt than he has left, that’s for sure.

As for Seattle keeping him…don’t you think something would have happened by now? Their management has very savvily crafted a winner. I don’t see them paying more than teh $5.5m owed to Lynch each of the next two seasons. It’s going to come down to guaranteed money. Unless Lynch accepts the realities of the new NFL, and what it’s going to cost to keep Wilson happy, he’s going to be offering his services elsewhere before the end of next season.

  12. Not buying it.

LITTLE TINY FEATHER JAMAAL CHARLES is more likely to get injured than BIG BEAST MARSHAWN LYNCH.

You don’t have to draft Lynch if you don’t want to. To project an injury to a BIG RB like Lynch, and that being the reason to stay away, will cost you in the end.

Feel free togo to the other sites who are promoting Christine Michael. I call it like I see it.
