BEAST DOME NATION.

Time for the opening article to show you the players I love.  This is going to be a 2 Round Mock Draft with 12 Teams.  I have not looked at any other of the Fantasy Expert Sites, but I can tell you that Monta Ellis and Kobe Bryant are probably going to be Ranked Higher on BEAST DOME than any other site.

-FAIRBALLS

My first full season as a Beastdome.com VIP with Muntradamus was a total success. I finally won a fantasy baseball championship!!!

Muntradamus was there to help me every step of the way this season. Draft day (the most nerve wracking day of the season for me) Muntradamus had a plan(Chris Davis!!!!!!!!!!!), and was there to guide me through every pick via Skype screen sharing. This VIP feature is worth the price of the entire VIP package to me. After draft day I felt very comfortable with the team he helped me build.

With Muntradamus’ help i always felt reassured that I was making the right moves with my team. The inevitability of player injuries is there every season, and you need to quickly grab replacements that will keep your season’s momentum going. I had a few key players get injured over the course of the season. Muntradamus was pretty much always available through Skype chat to help me keep my team strong. I find that the hardest aspect of playing daily fantasy baseball is deciding which players on your team can be waived for those replacements that will make your team better. For the second season in a row he helped me grab a few crucial speed guys down the final stretch of the season in order to gain ground in stolen bases. This ultimately won me my championship.

I really can’t praise him enough for his help. Muntradamus is clearly obsessed with playing fantasy sports, and helping me win a championship became his obsession as well.

THANK YOU, “MUNTS”!!!

1st Round.

TEAM 1

KEVIN DURANT – SF – OKC

With no Russell Westbrook.  Kevin Durant is going to shoot the ball 40 Times a game, he is also going to have the ball in his hands a lot this season.  The upgraded confidence, the upgraded 100 extra 3PT attempts, and now the minimum 5 Assists per game makes Kevin Durant a no-brainier 1st overall Pick.  OKC is a weak team without Westbrook, Durant will have to be everything.

TEAM 2

LEBRON JAMES – SF – MIA

You know exactly what you are getting with Lebron.  8 Assists/8 Rebounds, 26 Points, Blocks, Steals.  He is everything you want and he will probably get better.  The only reason you want Kevin Durant more, is Kevin Durant will shot a lot more 3PTM, and he will also give you a much better FT%.  LeBron hurts your team in FT% leagues, 75% from the FT line as often as he goes is not great.

TEAM 3

KEVIN LOVE – PF – MIN

Love is a Fantasy Basketball Machine.  He is arguably the best Fantasy Basketball player in the game.  Injuries has always been his downfall, and hopefully for his case he can stay healthy.  Pekovic did take the next step in being a good Center last season with Love injured so often, but Love can certainly fill up the stat sheet when he is healthy.  Like no other.  Especially with the 3PTM at the Forward/Center Spot.

TEAM 4

JAMES HARDEN – SG – HOU

If Harden qualifies at SF in your league, he is debatable y the #1 Pick.  James Harden is one of the best Fantasy Basketball guards this game has seen.  He scores often, he gets 3PTM, he can get assists, and he gets steals.  With Dwight on the team, those Assist numbers are going to go up, as well as less defensive attention from big men when he drives.

TEAM 5

CHRIS PAUL – PG – LAC

CP3 is still one of the best Fantasy Options in the game.  However his knees are not what they used to be, and his scoring potential has dropped over the years.  He will still be among the league leaders in Assists, but he will also be among the average in scoring.  Look for Chris Paul to get his teammates involved and make the Clippers the Championship team they can be.

TEAM 6

MONTA ELLIS – SG – DAL

Monta is going to do a lot for the Mavericks this season, he will be scoring often, he will be stealing often, and he will be running the pick and roll with Dirk often.  Ellis is going to try to prove to everyone once and for all that he is a Championship caliber guard.  20+ Points with 7+ Assists and steals is not out of the question.

TEAM 7

KYRIE IRVING – PG – CLE

The Cavs think they are a legitimate playoff team this year.  That means Kyrie is going to have to take the next step to be a Fantasy Stud.  He is already scoring with the best of the PGs in the NBA, with 8 Assists per game his value goes to a new level.

TEAM 8

DERON WILLIAMS – PG – BRK

Deron Williams has all the options to lead the NBA in Assists this season.  He can score whenever he wants, he can get assists whenever he wants, and he will likely be leading one of the best NBA teams all year long.  Deron is a great anchor to have at the PG position this season.

TEAM 9

DWIGHT HOWARD – C – HOU

D12 going to Houston is on a mission.  Dwight is going to try to dominate the NBA again and prove all those haters that they are wrong.  Being in a small market where he is not even close to the Franchise of that team, he will have the opportunity to dominate without pressure.  That is the player Dwight needs to thrive.

TEAM 10

LAMARCUS ALDRIDGE – PF/C – POR

LaMarcus is a very soft 7 Footer, but last season he was dealing with injuries and was never really himself.  When he is on, he can score 25+ a game without blinking.  He is a big guy and the Blazers need him to be their everything if they want a chance to win it all in 2013.

TEAM 11

CARMELO ANTHONY – SF – NYK

Melo is in a contract year, and you can guarntee that he wants to win one championship with the Knicks before it is up.  Melo can score with the Worlds greatest out there, and he will have to do just that if this team is going to remain competitive.  He is more of a Fantasy Player than a great player in reality, but you will love having him on your team.

TEAM 12

KOBE BRYANT – SG – LAL

“As I sit here with you now, telling you I’m going to come back 100 percent … I don’t know for sure. You know, I have moments and I have days where I doubt myself. But to me, that’s the exciting part of the challenge. That’s when I realize this is a great opportunity to come out and show everybody this is how you bounce back. This is how you respond to a challenge. And the people who say, ‘You’ll never do it, you’ll never make it,’ this is how I look at that. The people who say, ‘You will never come back from this injury’ … to me, that means that if they had this injury, if they had this injury, they would quit. That’s what it means to me. Because if they sit there and look at me and say I can’t do it, that means that if this happened to you, you wouldn’t do it. So I have to show them just as much as I show the people who support me that this can be done and I can come back from this. By me coming back from this shows the people who doubt me, hopefully makes them reconsider what’s possible. And that’s the important story about the scar. The scar is a good story anyway.”

-KOBE BRYANT

Tell me that is not a steal for someone as good as Kobe.  When healthy, he is a Top 3 player in the game.

2nd Round

TEAM 12

STEPHEN CURRY – PG – GSW

Curry is one of the fastest Growing names in Fantasy Basketball.  The ankle injury is no longer a reason to not draft him as that appears to be behind him.  For now enjoy the 3PTM mirage as this guy lights it up like the best consistently.  Curry is going to have a big season as he leads the Warriors to the Playoffs.

TEAM 11

AL JEFFERSON – C – CHA

Big Al is going to get every opportunity in the world to score 25 Points and gather 15 Rebounds a night on Charlotte. The team is hopeless at talent around him when it comes to star power, and Al is a Star.  Probably best post up center in the NBA.  Al will bring the BIG back this season.

TEAM 10

ZACH RANDOLPH – PF/C – MEM

First name 20, last name 10.  Randolph will be a Fantasy Machine all season long, especially with no Rudy Gay on the team anymore.  The Grizz lack scoring from nearly every position, I am talking about big time scoring, and Zach brings just that.  He was once nicknamed the ‘Black Hole’ because once you threw it in, it never came out.  The Grizz will be going with that method all season long.

TEAM 9

RUDY GAY – SF – TOR

Rudy is going to be the star of this team and lead the Raptors to the playoffs.  Throughout the course of last season, Rudy was a Fantasy Beast putting up HUGE numbers nearly every game.  He will be scoring for the Raptors every night and you can count on that.  What makes Rudy Special is his intangibles at the F position with 3PTM/Steals/Blocks, and nice rebound numbers.

TEAM 8

AL HORFORD – ATL – C

With no more Josh Smith, Al Horford will have to be the leader for the Hawks.  Horford will have Paul Millsap alongside which should help give Horford less attention down low, but this guy will be everywhere on the court for this team.  He hustles, he scores, he blocks, he steals, he rebounds. He does not even hurt your FT%.

TEAM 7

ANTHONY DAVIS – PF – NO

Anthony Davis is going to BEAST this year in New Orleans.  Robin Lopez is no longer there to take his rebounds, which means Anthony Davis will have to pretty much be 20/10 this season if the Pelicans have a chance of having a lot of success this season.  Look for Anthony Davis to take the next step to greatness, his block shots help a lot as well.

TEAM 6

JOSH SMITH – PF – DET

Smith going to Detroit is a great thing.  He will be a poor mans Lebron on that team navigating the offense and creating mismatches consistently.  What makes Josh Smith a Fantasy Legend is the fact he gets so many Steals/Blocks/Assists.  Rebounds was a key ingredient to that list as well, this season it will not come so easy with Drummond and Monroe.

TEAM 5

DEMARCUS COUSINS – C – SAC

Foul Trouble has always been his downfall.  Expect DeMarcus to be a Fantasy Beast this season and potentially finally be the word, ‘consistent.’  For how late he goes and the amount of upside he has on a nightly basis.  The bite is certainly worth the chew.

TEAM 4

BRANDON JENNINGS – PG – DET

Consistency was always the problem with Brandon Jennings.  Now that he has left Monta Ellis, he will dominate the Fantasy Basketball game.  Detroit is going to give him the keys to his car and let him do whatever he wants.  The Pistons strength will be offensive rebounds, you can count on Jennings to create plenty of those opportunities for his team.

TEAM 3

NICOLAS BATUM – SF – POR

Batum was worn out last season, but he has every chance in the Fantasy Basketball world to play like a 1st Round Pick every night.  His Blocks/Steals/3PTM potential is through the roof, and there is no reason to think he will not continue to improve as a player.  Last season he did not play as well as he can, this season he takes that next step.

TEAM 2

PAUL GEORGE – SF – IND

With Paul George welcoming Danny Granger back into the picture, the shoot attempts will not be the same as they were last season.  Paul George is a player who needs volume of shots to be a big fantasy option, and David West/Roy Hibbert/Danny Granger are similar.  There will be nights Paul plays like a 1st Round pick, there will be nights where Paul plays like a 4th Round pick.

TEAM 1

BLAKE GRIFFIN – PF – LAC

Blake has not been the Best version of himself as far as Fantasy Basketball since his rookie season.  FT% is always a problem, but the potential for 20/10 every single night should be there.  Look for Blake to take the next steps towards fantasy greatness and be the scoring PF we know he should be.  With more experience, he will only be a better player.
