  1. I’m new. How should I handle so many injuries? Nash, G. Wallace, A. Davis, now Kyrie are making me fall behind in games played. Will I catch up through the season? My roster (currently creeped up to 8th out of 12, daily, roto, 9-cat) is:

    Guards:
    Kyrie Irving
    Steve Nash
    Steph Curry
    Wes Matthews
    Nate Robinson

    Forwards/Centers:
    Gerald Wallace
    Anthony Davis
    Patrick Patterson
    Kevin Seraphin
    Chandler Parsons
    Harrison Barnes
    Tyson Chandler
    Anderson Varejao

Thanks, and I’ll help anyone I can!

  2. get off the parsons bandwagon and hop on thad young’s before its too late? trading for young. i have lots of 3s and points. would lose out on assists though.

  3. would maximize games played per week by using spots held by robinson and seraphin and start streaming players.

  4. Thoughts on Mullens and Aminu? I’m still riding with Mullens, he’s been putting up numbers, but I don’t trust Aminu to be consistant, dropping him for Patterson.

  5. I’m personally dropping Aminu once I see a hot FA pick. He has been steadily declining offensively and defensively over the last four games and even with Davis out was unable to score a point. He’s also getting inconsistent minutes, with only I believe 23 with Davis out.

Personally I’m going to try to go after either one of the slumping players on the WW (Thompson or Ilyasova in my league) after tonight’s set of games.

  6. K.Love is back! Pretty annoyed I didn’t get to start him, but I’m just glad he managed to get back so soon. Plus I’m not going to be so ridiculously far back (I’m in a daily league, and I have Love, Nash and Wall).

  7. I’ve got Love too. It’s a shame to have left that production on the bench, but nice to see he’s ready to crush out of the gate.

  8. What do you guys think about trading away Batum straight up for Zach Randolph? I got Lawson, Mayo and Thompson so my threes will still be covered.

  9. Advice guys…I don’t know much about fantasy basketball, I mean I know most of the stars but not the fringe, James Jones type of players (to reference football) that good teams need. Here is my team, and let me know if there are any improvements you’d make. For the most part, I think I did well.

  10. No way dude, you could get a lot more for Batum. He may not be a household name, but he will stuff the stat box night in and night out. You can’t trade the current #3 player in ALL of fantasy for maybe a top 15 at best PF.

  11. That’s a tough call. I’m leaning towards Young, but not if you have to give up too much to get him.

  12. hey guys heres my team:

    Irving
    wade
    parker
    jsmoove
    Noah
    boozer
    kemba
    beasley
    knight

    bench:
    bynum
    deandre jordan
    derrick favors
    Evan turner

was currently offered Paul George and either mo Williams or tyreke Evans for wade. should I do it?

    thanks

  13. Thanks Joe. The same guy also has Deron Williams and Greg Monroe. Maybe I’ll try to work out some sort of package with him. My PG play is super spotty (Lawson, Sessions, Nelson, Rubio), so Williams would be a big step up.

  14. I’m not very high on Tyreke Evans. And, Mo, while solid when healthy, will very likely be injury prone most of the season the way he’s getting run. I do love Paul George’s all-around game though, so I would look to get him. Wade is also very injury prone and it seems as though Spoelstra is looking to limit him to keep him healthy for late season/playoffs, so he’s dispensible IMO. See if you can get better than Evans or Williams, throw in Beasley and make that deal.

  15. The confidence the coach has in mullens combined with his all-around production suggest he has grown as a player and is ready to steadily contribute, barring a major slump

  16. I’d definitely make sure I get what I pay for in selling batum, as he’s a certified fantasy beast moving forward

  17. Wow that’s an interesting situation, if you need big men I would definitely consider pulling the trigger, both bigs appear to have long term value

  18. My bigs are Patrick Patterson, Mullens, Bargnani, Love, Cousins, Gortat and Ilyasova (just picked him up today). World Peace is my sole SF.

My guards are Curry, Klay Thompson, Batum, Nash, Mo Williams, and Wall (our league has one IR spot, which he is currently occupying).

I’ve had troubles with my defensive stats, which is why I’m tempted to make this trade. Only stat I haven’t really had trouble with so far is treys, which I’ve won by a large margin every week. My team has been off to a shaky start.

  19. An IR spot I like that. Hmmm you are good in boards with love cuz and gortat, you’re injured pg’s are you’re biggest problem. Hibbert will help in blocks, but batum gets you both steals and decent blocks already, considering you are already solid with reboundingbigs I probably wouldn’t give up a beast like batum.

  20. My team is as follows:

    Chris Paul
    Goran Dragic
Mike Conley (Just got him for Paul George)
    James Harden
    Carmelo Anthony
Chandler Parsons (Thanks to this blog)
    Nicolas Batum
    Ryan Anderson
    Dirk Nowitzki
    Lamarcus Aldridge
    Joakim Noah
    Marcin Gortat
    Tim Duncan

I am in a 6 team H2H league. I am trying to get Chris Bosh for a SF and maybe give away Gortat or Aldridge. Should i pull the trigger??

  21. I sent out two offers and both owners seem to want to accept, what do you guys think of these trades? 12-man, 8-cat, Roto.. I’m leading in BLK and AST.. 3PT and STL are my two worse categories

Brook Lopez for Ryan Anderson. I figured if I’m lacking in 3’s I should add the current best 3pt shooter.

DWill and Hickson for Lillard and Duncan. I’m leading in AST so I’m willing to take a slight hit there and I feel like I should improve in just about every other stat (FT% is the exception) with this trade as well.

  22. hi. i would like to move some guys that have been producing beyond their or met expectations.
heres my 16 team h2h espn redraft 8cat std team 13 man roster.
guards: irving, vasquez, lowry, paul george, danny green, jeffery taylor, udrih, bayless.

forwards: leonard, singler, anderson, west, thad young.

    centers: jefferson&nikola pekovic.

    irving and leonard in IR.

  23. you realy dont need any other bigs because of love and cousins. stick with batum as he contributes all over the stat sheet. but if you dont mind losing points and 3pts then go for it. horford has decent fg/{g%s and hibbert is a block guy.

  24. You may want to consider moving Young or Vasquez. Young’s stats will take a hit when (IF) Bynum is back, but you should be able to ride him out until then. I feel like Vasquez will come back down to earth soon, try trading him while his FG% is trending up cause it will likely fall back down again

  25. i would like to avoid losing my players that lead in a catagory. players like vasquez and david west are my assist and point/block leaders. if i can move them would a trade like west for favors be reasonable?

  26. What’s everyone’s take on Bynum? Not having him is definitely hurting my team, but he’s got such good upside. My biggest thing is, I don’t trust him. I think he’s a selfish and lazy player. I don’t have high hopes that he’ll return this season or if he does I can’t imagine it will be for very long.

I also have Stoudemire and Nash on my injury list right now and those guys aren’t helping.

Rubio, Mullens, Favors all on my waiver wire. Is it time to drop Bynum for one of those other players?

  27. Yeah, I’m a bottom feeder right now, so I’m overreacting a bit. Once Nash and Wall are back things should be better.

  28. Just wondering what you guys think of my team and if there is any area for improvement. I am in 2nd place in a 10-team H2H league.
Guards – Curry, Lillard, Vasquez, and Rubio(inj.), Paul George, and Klay Thompson
Forwards – Durant, Cousins, Bosh, Kirilenko, MWP, Beasley, and Kawhi Leonard
    Centers – Bargnani and Pekovic

  29. sell high on vasquez for another pg who has similar assist production because of the drag on fg%, ft%, and TO.

  30. I’m with the others…stick with Batum. I say decline the offer and see if you can get Hibbert and somebody better than Horford.

  31. I would. If you heard the latest news about Bogut’s ankle surgery, you know it doesn’t look good. At least you know other owners will be wary, now. Any other centers on your waiver wire?. Valunciunas has been doing great in select games, and has fairly consistent blocks. I’ve enjoyed his production. He’s starting, now, too.

  32. You also have decent 3ptm production from Artest and Klay Thompson. Might see if you can trade Barg for someone with more blocks or fg%

  33. My team is:

    Greg Monroe
    Damien Lillard
    David West
    David Lee
    Carl Landry
    Brandon Jennings
    Manu Ginobili
    Joe Johnson
    Chandler Parsons
    Bismarck Biyombo
    Chauncey Billups
    Gordon Hayward
    Tyreke Evans

I’m in 2nd place currently in my 12 team, 9 cat standard yahoo league. My biggest weaknesses are TO’s, blocks, and FG%. I just picked up Chauncey and Biyombo (for blocks). My waiver wire is pretty limited with Isaiah Thomas, Bradley Beal, Jason Kidd, Henderson, Jamal Crawford, JO, Ridnour, and Ben Gordon probably being the best options. I know, I know… Jamal Crawford probably shouldnt be there, but he really wouldn’t help me at this point.

    Any input is appreciated.

  34. My team is:

    Greg Monroe
    Damien Lillard
    David West
    David Lee
    Carl Landry
    Brandon Jennings
    Manu Ginobili
    Joe Johnson
    Chandler Parsons
    Bismarck Biyombo
    Chauncey Billups
    Gordon Hayward
    Tyreke Evans

I’m in 2nd place currently in my 12 team, 9 cat standard yahoo league. My biggest weaknesses are TO’s, blocks, and FG%. I just picked up Chauncey and Biyombo (for blocks). Any input is appreciated.

  35. Yeah that does.
I’m lucky enough to just have Bynum, and Amare is on the wire. Probably going to stick with the higher upside.

  36. Wow. I picked up Tiago Splitter just to try to make up for games lost in holding Bynum. I had no Idea Popovich was going leave his starters home. (Stern forgot to mention Pop’s disservice to fantasy owners in doing that, haha)
18 and 9 ain’t bad for a one night stand. I’ve already dropped him for Drummond to get blocks and rebounds in the weekend back-to-backs. I think the Saturday matchup against the Mavs has potential, seeing as they currently give up the most rebounds in the league. Looking forward to Monroe’s day against them, too.

  37. I just traded Nikola Pekovic for the slumping Hibbert. I don’t want to trade Paul George or David West but don’t look at me now with 3 Pacers players in my lineup.

  38. Meeks was the starting SG for Philly, but last year it was all about getting turner his turn. Meeks will fit in the offensive as a bench player and he will give you subpar numbers. Not sure of his upside but he is capable of playing 25 minutes.

  39. What do you guys think about Patrick Patterson?

I’d say he’s a better recent waiver add that Metta World Peace and most others but….

Is he the real deal? Or will he cool off majorly?

I have one really shallow league where I’d like to get him, my least valuable player that I’d have to drop would be Andrei Kirilenko… what ya guys think?

    Thanks Beast Dome Community!

  40. Trade David West and Ryan Anderson for Kevin Love?
Kinda tough decision im at the top 3 in standings so far and these two have been carrying my team lately.

  41. If Patterson can keep this up would Kirilenko being dropped be viable. However Kirilenko puts up points all around but his usage is pointing downward.

  42. man…. he counter offered my lowry, anderson, and hibbert for his kevin love and miller.

  43. Ilyasova is a FA in my 12-team roto league. Do you think he’s going to be this bad all season?
I really only have Valunciunas to drop (MWP and JorCraw are my other pickups.)

  44. Sounds a little bit beyond reasonable.
I wouldn’t trade Lowry for Miller, and both he and Hibbert are slumping.
Sounds like you lose in points and blocks in the long run.
Counter for someone better than Miller?

  45. Ok. So I decided to get Batum.

    I get Batum & Aminu
I give Lowry & Thad Young.
Im leading in points, rebounds, and 3pts. Im average on the rest

  46. Guards:
    Steve Nash
    JorCraw
    James Harden
    Monta Ellis

    Forwards/Centers:
    Luol Deng
    Kevin Garnett
    Rudy Gay
    Patrick Patterson
    LaMarcus Aldridge
    Harrison Barnes
    Carl Landry
    Michael Beasley
    Jason Thompson

I need a point guard badly with the nayshmoney out. First time fantasy bball manager

  47. I’m in a 12-team H2H 9-cat. league. I’m trying to upgrade my FG%, steals, blocks, and turnovers for which I’m ranked in the bottom half of the league. I’m willing to give up 3ptm (I’m 1st), points, assists, and rebounds. I feel like I can give up a bit more in those categories, since I still have Amare and John Wall. Once they start playing I feel like I can make back the difference in those categories.

    My roster is as follows:

    PG: J. Nelson
    SG: K. Thompson
    G: P. George
    SF: Iggy
    PF: Aldridge
    F: Cousins
    C: Mullens
    Util: Parsons
    Util: A. Miller
    Util: Jordan Crawford
Bench: Stoudemire, Wall, Beasley, D. Collison

So I offered these two trades to another owner:

    1. My Thompson, Aldridge, and Stoudemire for his Lebron and L. Sanders.
    2. My George, Aldridge, and Cousins for his Lebron and Anthony Davis.

Are either of these trades better for me in the long run? If so, which trade would be more beneficial for me?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  48. trade deng for a good PG that doesnt offer defensive stats. same with garnett. maybe gay for lowry.

  49. guys like al horford, al jefferson, and previously but not now pau gasol are guys who fit those roles.

  50. Solid game from Ilyasova with 21 and 12, kicker is he only got 20 minutes. Is he finally getting it together? Or are we going to have to worry about Skiles capping his upside.

  51. Patrick Patterson, Hump, Hickson available. I’m getting killed in boards every week, any suggestions about lineup?

    My team:
    Lillard
    Vasquez
    Jrue
    Kirilenko
    Horford
    Jamison
    Cousins
    Deandre Jordan
    Dragic
    Gerald Wallace
    Pekovic
    Thorton
    Bynum

  52. Trade 1. I’d keep Cousins over Stoudemire. Sell Aldridge all day, everyday. He’s in Portland, it’s inevitable that he’ll have a horrific injury at some point this season.

  53. I was probably look to drop Bynum for Hickson. There’s no telling when or if Bynum will play this year. At least Hickson can get you close to 10 rebounds a game.

I actually like Patterson more, cause he averages more points than Hickson, and he can hit 3s as well. Thing is you say you need help with boards, so go with Hickson since he averages close to 10 a game.

  54. I’m in a 12-team, 9-cat., H2H league.

    My roster is as follows:

    PG – J. Nelson
    SG – Iggy
    G – P. George
    SF – K. Thompson
    PF – L. Aldridge
    F – Byron Mullens
    C – Cousins
    Util – Parsons
    Util – Jordan Crawford
    Util – A. Miller

    Bench – A. Stoudemire, J. Wall, M. Beasley, D. Collison

    Rankings:

    FG% – 12th
    FT% – 7th
    3PTM – 1st
    Points – 6th
    Rebounds – 7th
    Assists – 5th
    Steals – 9th
    Blocks – 11th
    Turnovers – 11th

    I get Wade, Calderon, R. Lopez, Kidd-Gilchrist
I give up George, Cousins, Thompson.

My only concern with this deal is that I would lose 2 of my top 3 pt. shooters. However, if I can get help in the categories where I’m near the bottom in the rankings, I’m inclined to do it. What do you guys think?

  55. Actually I just offered a trade and it got accepted. I traded away Klay Thompson for Andrei Kirilenko. That should help with my deficiencies in FG%, steals, and blocks. What do you guys think?

  56. only thing klay thompson can do is increase 3pt% and points. kirilenko will give u better (small) FG%, steals, and blocks but dont expect points. expect blocks.

  57. Need ideas?

Short term – Andray Blatche, Bradley Beal

Longer term, risky with nice upside – Jordan Crawford, Rodney Stuckey, Ben Gordon, Carl Landry, Jason Richardson, JJ Hickson

Which of these waiver wire additions will be the best, most-consistent player two months from now? Why?

  58. Hmmm… thats tough. Depends on what you need. I just picked up Stuckey because we all know the fantasy potential he has. Too bad his fg% has been god awful so far this season. I also have had Carl Landry on my team for his contributions in FG% and he is a solid FT shooter too. He doesn’t offer much besides some points and rebounds though.

I think I would go with Stuckey, Jordan Crawford, Landry, JRich, Hickson, Gordon. Gordon is just way to inconsistent.

  59. underrated is jrich. he is on a team thatb shares the ball w/o bynum. he gives steals, assists, and threes with 25+ mpg. worried bout j craw and jrich tho cuz they missing their star players.

  60. Should I take this trade?
His B. Jennings, C. Bosh, and T. Douglas
My KG Big TICKET & Kyrie Irving.
    16 team league 8 cat.

  61. I would definitely take that trade. Chris Bosh is more valuable than KG right now. Jennings is more valuable than Kyrie, though much of that is due to Kyrie’s injury. However, at best, I see Jennings and Kyrie at about equal value. I don’t know why he threw in Toney Douglas, or why you would want him.

In any case, I think you would win in this trade if you got Jennings and Bosh.

  62. I’m in a 12-team 9cat. H2H league. My team is:

Guards – Nelson, A. Miller, Jordan Crawford, Collison, Ridnour, Wall (IR)
Forwards – Iggy, Parsons, George, Aldridge, Kirilenko, Stoudemire (IR)
    Centers – Cousins and Mullens

My rankings in the 9 categories:

    FG% – 12th
    FT% – 7th
    3PTM – 1st
    Points – 6th
    Rebounds – 7th
    Assists – 5th
    Steals – 9th
    Blocks – 11th
    Turnovers – 11th

I just got offered a trade of Westbrook, Kidd-Gilchrist, and Robin Lopez for my George, Aldridge, and Iggy.

am I getting robbed? I’m considering this deal, because Stoudemire looks like he could be back by Christmas and he should help pick up my points and rebounds total. It seems as though I’d be losing a bit in 3PTM. Would this trade be worth it for me?

  63. You would win this trade hands down.

    Bosh > KG
Jennings > Kyrie at the moment. They may be equal at best.

    I would make the trade.

  64. I think I would go with Jordan Crawford. He’s getting you stats across the board right now. Although his FG% isn’t great. I think he can keep it up even when Wall comes back. His assists might go down a bit, but I think he’ll be a more efficient scorer (i.e. FG% should go up).

  65. I have Ibaka, D. Lee, and Noah. I need guard help especially in 3s, assists, and steals. Who should I be trying to deal and who should I be targeting? I’m completely new to basketball and need help

  66. You are getting extremely robbed. The best player in that trade is Westbrook, but then your three are next. Lopez and mkg are nearly waiver wire material.

  67. Jennings would be a great get for you. I’d look to try and deal Lee and see if the other owner will bite. Lee has been a monster lately, and usually I would not want to get rid of him. However, Noah and Ibaka can get you blocks and those are harder to pick up than points and rebounds.

So try and deal David Lee for Jennings and see what happens.

  68. Damn my team is floundering in my first fantasy bball season. Hopefully Munt starts dropping some articles soon.

  69. Got offered Batum and Felton for my Josh Smith.

12 team 9-cat, and my team is
    Lillard
    Nelson
    Stuckey
    Gee
    K Thompson
    Iguodala
    Deng
    Smith
    Monroe
    Stoudemire
    Favors

Lacking in Blocks and Steals, last place in TOs.
    Do I make that trade?

  70. if u need the assists i would deal any of those for jennings, conley, holiday, dragic, lawson, lillard, or parker

you could try to reach for steph curry who is hot right now or kyrie irving

there are cheaper guards that can get you great assists too: kemba walker, calderon, vasquez, j nelson, g hill, b knight, felton, mo williams

  71. depends how bad youre hurtin

if you think you can catch up then keep your elite player

if u cant stand to keep runnin alonzo gee out there then do it and drop gee or favors

  72. Hey guys,

I am pretty stacked for three point shooting with Mayo, Korver, Lillard, Jennings and a few others… But Ray Allen just became A FA in my league. I can’t help but think I should grab him.

JJ hickson is also on the wire along with stuckey, Henderson, and Matt Barnes. I am hurting at FG%, blocks.

  73. Well my team is currently in 2nd overall… 12 team, 9 cat.

    Chris Bosh
    JJ Hickson
    Kyle Korver
    Damien Lillard
    Brandon Jennings
    Carl Landry
    Greg Monroe
    Tyreke Evans
    Manu Ginobili
    OJ Mayo
    Larry Sanders
    David West
    Chandler Parsons

I am last in TOs, 8th in FG%… Those are the two I am most focused on right now.

  74. I’m trying to sell high on George but this guy keeps on rejecting my offer, but now its looking to be.
    His C. Paul, C. Bosh, A. Iggy
My Jefferson, P. George, K. Garnett, G. Vasquez.
Im currently lacking in FG% and Blocks. But I am good on points, 3pts, rebounds, and assists.

  75. He also set up a trade where except Garnett, I’ll give him R. Anderson and he will give me A. Affalo as well.

  76. That first trade looks okay. You’re saying he also offered Paul, Bosh, Iggy Afflalo for Jefferson, George, Anderson and Vasquez? Am I reading that wrong? That sounds awesome. I doubt Anderson does as well the second half of the season as the first, unless Davis goes down again. Plus you get to keep Garnett.

  77. In one of my free roto leagues, I got offered Conley, Wade, Howard and Jamal Crawford for my Paul George, Lillard, and Durant. I know Durant is the best fantasy player out there, but I think I win this one. Crawford eases the damage Howard does to my FT%, and I get to sell George somewhat high. What do you guys think?

  78. youve got two of the best stat stuffers in george and durant. in a roto league i think thats way too much to give up. sure you’ll get more defensive stats in wade and howard to go along those excellent double doubles.

  79. I would never ever do that. If you are giving up Durant, Lebron or chris Paul should be on the other side

  80. Want to swing a trade for Deron. Team is Curry, Thompson, Metta, Mullens, Gortat, Mo Williams, Love, Cousins, Nash, Batum, Ilyasova, MKG, Meeks and Wall. Already had to drop Bargnani because of injury. Now I got the issue of Mo and Cousins just as Nash gets back. Any suggestions? Alternative trades? Team is floundering, need help getting back afloat.
