WAIN THE PRICE IS WRIGHT

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

Fantasy Baseball is a game of ups and downs. You have heard me say it before, and I will say it again. There are times when you need to capitalize on a player while he is down. Someone like Carlos Gomez continues to lose value by the day as he was plunked with a Fastball on the wrist. His value is still at Joc Pederson straight up if you can make the trade to get Gomez.

Joc was able to steal a Coors Field HR on Sunday to keep his value coasting, but all in all he is a guy who is batting 8th everyday for some reason and his fantasy value is tainted while he is at that position.

Below are a few more players to BUY LOW now that Colin McHugh and his value is starting to rise. Remember I am not trying to overload you with players this year, I am going to only highlight Studs you can get at a fraction of the price that they really cost.

Screen Shot 2016-04-14 at 4.42.01 AMIn this Package you are getting my PlayBoy Mansion Championship Qualifier Roster to play in Double-UP/Triple-Up Leagues. I am putting out my maximum energy to get that spot, and nightly I have been BEASTING.

YASMANI GRANDAL – C – LAD

2016: Batting Average. .273. 0 HR/4 RBI

Yasmani is starting the 2016 season very slow. First he was battling a minor arm injury which caused him to start the season on the DL. Now Yasmani is still trying to hit his 1st HR and get the momentum he needs to have a BEAST season. Yasmani came inches away from hitting a HR in the 1st INN on Tuesday Night. Yasmani is the type of guy who can catch fire when he is on a roll, and he gets on a roll more often than not with his vicious cuts which make every hit seem like a Line Drive.

Yasmani is valuable because he is a switch hitting catcher that plays 1st Base from time to time and hits in the middle of the Dodgers Lineup. Usually the #6 Hitter. Yasmani will get plenty of RBI opportunities as the season continues, now is the time to Buy Extremely low for a guy who can still easily hit 20 HRs in 2016.

ADAM WAINWRIGHT – SP – STL

2016: 7.16 ERA/1.70 WHIP/1 WIN/14 K

Wainwright is getting straight up bombed this season. His ERA sits above 7.00 and he is coming off of another bad start where he gave up 4 ER in 5.1 INN of work. The good news however is that Wainwright was able to pick up his 1st win of the season, someone that will build confidence in the Ace moving forward. While Wainwright has been nothing short of a BUST to start the 2016 season, keep in mind that this guy is a pure BEAST when his game is on. Once Wainwright finds his groove he will be tossing 7 INN/0 ER/6 K games on a consistent basis. Right now you can trade him for Colin McHugh straight up and continue to build up that ladder.

Wainwright still has ace potential in him, and the Cardinals Offense has been producing plenty of run support which should have you believe that Wainwright can easily get 15+ Wins once he gets his act together.

BEAST DOME NATION.

The Bye Week (7) can do wonders for a Football team. A team that cannot win a game, will come out like the Miami Dolphins and blowout two squads like it is nothing. A player that is a little beat up or not playing great, can come out of the Bye Week looking like it is Week 1 and he is back to full strength, Jonathan Stewart.

Today we are going to talk about CJ Anderson. Anderson looked like a BEAST this preseason. Picking up 7+ yard gains whenever he wanted and had a burst that reminded us all why Montee Ball would never be the Broncos RB again. Then again, Montee reminded us all why Montee would never the Broncos RB again with his poor performance and afraid to make a big play because he was worried about fumbling.

Week 1 of the NFL season against Baltimore, CJ Anderson messed up his foot. He decided to play on a bad foot in Week 2 against a good Chiefs run defense, had a bad game. Decided to play again in Week 3 against a healthy Lions Defense at the time, had a bad game. Deemed himself near 100% against the Vikings in Week 4, watched Ronnie Hillman take a 72 yard TD to the house, which then started the 50/50 split. Did nothing Week 5 against the Raiders, then watched Ronnie Hillman take 7 more carries against the Browns while also rushing for over 100 Yards.

Now the Bye Week

While CJ Anderson may have said his toe/foot was 100% early on in the season after getting injured. Truth is you have to rest your injuries in order to really heal them. CJ Anderson was wearing special shoes, and he never really looked explosive. He could of forced the issue to play a little injured because he knows if Ronnie Hillman really went off with Anderson on the sidelines, there would be no turning back.

The best part about CJ Anderson’s game was his role in the passing game. He often was the clear #3 option and made some very big catches to convert 3rd downs. While Ronnie Hillman has looked a little more explosive this season than CJ Anderson, the Broncos want CJ Anderson to be their #1 RB. He was a Pro-Bowl BEAST out of nowhere in the middle of last season, and they all know he has the ability to reach that level again. With a good schedule coming up, it is time for the Broncos to feed their BEAST and remind us all why CJ Anderson was a 1st Round Pick on Draft Day in most leagues.

DENVER REMAINING SCHEDULE

Screen Shot 2015-10-28 at 10.20.50 AM

THE NEGOTIATION

The best part about grabbing CJ Anderson in a trade is that his value is no longer anywhere near where it was in Week 1. If you want CJ Anderson is not going to cost you a BEAST. If you can get CJ Anderson straight up for James Jones, consider that a steal. If you need to throw in James Jones and a RB #3/#4 quality the trade is worth it.

If the CJ Anderson owner wants a RB like Eddie Lacy or another under performing star, the only way you make that trade is if he vastly improves the 2nd player in the trade. Example.

Eddie Lacy/James Jones (WR#2/3)

for

CJ Anderson/Calvin Johnson (WR#1)

Chances are if you have a QB like Carson Palmer, you can likely trade him for CJ Anderson straight up. If you have a RB like CJ2K, there is a chance you can get some extra trade value, but I would take CJ Anderson straight up as Andre Ellington is only getting more healthy, which will send that AZ situation to RBBC.

Point is, do not offer a BEAST. Offer a player that has performing very well above his expectations, James Jones/CJ2K/Carson Palmer, Etc. In return ask for the 1st Round BEAST who has been playing like a RB that is borderline Waiver Wire Quality.

In conclusion. You are buying a player with major upside and you are taking a chance, which has a high % of being correct, that CJ Anderson is going to be looking much more explosive than he had all season with the extra week of rest coming off the Bye Week.

FANTASY FOOTBALL TRADE MARKET: SSS.r (Steve Smith Sr.)

FANTASY FOOTBALL TRADE MARKET:

SSS.r (Steve Smith Sr.)

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

It happened, Steve Smith Sr. went down way earlier than we wanted. After getting speared in the back by Lawrence Timmons, SSS laid on the ground and could not move. He then was trying to get loose on the sidelines, but the team did not allow him back in the game. Now the reports are four broken ribs and he could miss this week and maybe one more, but probably just this one week. Which is good because going up against Joe Haden is never an easy task, no matter what Haden’s numbers show this season.

So now we have to ask ourselves. Do we trade away SSS, or do we keep him, or for some. Do we trade for him. The answer to that question is you have to grab him in all leagues if you do not not own him already.

Last season SSS declined at the end of last season, while Torrey Smith did all he can to regain all the Fantasy value he was supposed to have outscoring SSS towards the stretch run. With Torrey Smith no longer on the team and Rookie Breshad Perriman still yet to play an NFL snap in Preseason and Regular season. The timing is perfect for SSS to be a perfect buy low candidate. The back injury could of happened to anyone, age has nothing to do with getting speared in the lower back where you have no protection. The Ravens are desperate for their passing game to emerge with weapons, but the reality is SSS is the only weapon the Ravens have.

SSS wants to go out with a Bang this season. He is not going to let broken Ribs hold him back, and the Ravens will not be able to rely on their running game with Justin Forsett like they did against a very overrated Steelers Run Defense, who was also missing Ryan Shazier in that game.

I would not break the bank to acquire SSS, but I would also be willing to give up a strong WR such as Jeremy Maclin to make this trade go through. The season is still young, and without SSS the Ravens Passing game will likely finish last in the NFL. SSS wants the Ravens to be in the Superbowl and he will do whatever it takes to get them there.

FANTASY FOOTBALL TRADE MARKET: THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE DOME (MATT STAFFORD)

FANTASY FOOTBALL TRADE MARKET:

THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE DOME (MATT STAFFORD)

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

Like Dorthy in ‘The Wizard of Oz.’ Dorthy is out of her element when she is outside of Kansas. Similar to Matt Stafford when he is out of his element in a Dome. Yes the Dome opener did not go well for Matt Stafford, which was expected going up against the NFL’s BEST DEFENSE (Highest Ranked Expert Preseason), in the Denver Broncos. It did not help anyone that Stafford was also more than beat up heading into the contest. Things are going to change for the better after this Monday Night Football game, and soon you will get the Matt Stafford we all expected this season for a fraction of the price.

The second article I wrote this Fantasy Football season all the way back in June was about the breakout season for Matt Stafford in 2015. Aka The Lion King

We all knew heading into the season that the start of Stafford’s schedule was not pretty. Two road games against two teams that live and die by owning Time of Possession (Vikings vs. Chargers Week 3) Rivers 246 Passing Yards vs. Bridgewater Passing Yards 123 Yards. Home opener against the best Defense in the NFL on Sunday Night Football, then back to the road on Monday Night Football Week 4 against the best secondary in the NFL (only by reputation) in the Seattle Seahawks. Just when you thought things get easier, Week 5 against the Cardinals has the making to be another week Matt Stafford belongs on your bench.

So far this season, Stafford has been beat/bruised and the Lions are turning the ball over like a game of NFL Street. Only problem is, the Lions are not even playing Street Football. Instead of taking deep shots to Calvin Johnson or Golden Tate, which was not a problem all preseason. The Lions are playing very conservative as far as play calls go. 5 Yard Slants, quick screens, quick outs, quick ins. While you may say it is because of pass protection, truth is the Lions Offensive Line actually has a lot of talent as the Lions have made a lot of transactions this offseason to get a lot better. The problem is predictability of play calling, and 2 out of the 3 games this season were against teams that get to the QB often no matter who they face (Broncos/Vikings). Chances are Week 4 and Week 5 we will see Stafford continue to get roughed up.

But then we are past Week 5 (Against the Cardinals), and then we see the glory days for Stafford, Calvin Johnson, as well as Golden Tate. While we are at it let us throw in the BEAST DOME rising star Eric Ebron.

FANTASYPROS WEEK 2

Screen Shot 2015-09-25 at 1.43.29 AM

Screen Shot 2015-09-30 at 6.23.52 AMOf course the thing that stands out most for Stafford is the Dome Games from Week 11 – Week 16. Stafford is the type of QB that unless you are the Denver Broncos, can lite anyone up in a Dome. The Lions will eventually get their vertical passing game going and Stafford will be having 400 Yard Games left and right to close out the year. Not to mention his only non Dome Game left will be Week 17 against the Bears. Game Week 8 against the Chiefs is in London.

When Stafford is in a Dome, his Fantasy Stats always come home. The Fantasy Success will be coming in bunches, and now is the easiest time you will have all season to steal the BEAST for cheap.

Carson Palmer/Tyrod Taylor/Cam Newton/Ryan Tannehill/Drew Brees. All of these QBs will likely be accepted by the Stafford owner who is in fear that things will not get pretty since the media is making them sound so bad, even “experts” ranking Calvin Johnson outside the Top 20. Obviously they have not see Megatron and his amazing catches early on this season. Now we are hearing Golden Tate tell the Media that teams are calling out their plays.

Yet with all this distraction, we still see Stafford launch the ball 98 Times in the last two games. Only thing that is missing is the Vertical Pass Attempts, and the Dome Games with that favorable schedule coming up.

If you own Matt Ryan/Tom Brady/Andrew Luck/Aaron Rodgers, you do not need to trade for Stafford. If you own Peyton Manning, you are probably ok as well but if you can upgrade another position at the same time, it is worth it to bite the bullet and sell high. Any other QB, the time is now to make a move for Stafford if you missed him on Draft Day.

Calvin Johnson/Golden Tate/Eric Ebron will gain value as well and make for excellent Buy Low candidates.

FANTASY FOOTBALL TRADE MARKET: We Must Protect This Forte (Matt Forte)

FANTASY FOOTBALL TRADE MARKET:

We Must Protect This Forte (Matt Forte)

BEAST DOME NATION.

By Muntradamus

The Chicago Bears offense had a lot of promise heading into the 2015 Fantasy Football season. New Head Coach John Fox from Denver bringing in Offensive Coordinator aka Peyton Manning and Drew Brees call sheet holder, Adam Gase. Jay Cutler was ready to have a comeback of the year season, the team drafted Kevin White in the 1st Round.

Then things have gone from worse, to worst to start this 2015 season. Kevin White done for the year before it even started. Alshon Jeffery never recovered from his Hamstring injury during the preseason, and chances are he still may not be 100% even if he does play this Sunday. They just lost starting Tackle Jermon Bushrod which is a bad loss considering that this O-Line is definitely less than average in comparison to talent around the league. You also have Jay Cutler who has a bad hamstring and he may be out Week 4 and potentially longer. He could also return this week, more on that later.

With that being said, the Bears are officially in Fire Sale mode and it is only Week 4. With the Bears about ready to throw in the towel, there is a lot of speculation that Matt Forte will be moved to a contender as he is 30 Years Old and in a contract year. The only problem is the Bears want to get a lot of value, and teams usually don’t give up a lot of value for a mid-season trade. The Chicago Bears appear to be going with the strategy of auditioning Matt Forte this Sunday against the Raiders. It could lead to big fantasy success, but it could also be a situation where the Bears will pull Forte after he has shown his value to avoid injury. As a Matt Forte owner, you too have to be shopping him around. Only difference is, you should be shopping him around this week instead of waiting for Sunday.

The art of the Trade is everything in Fantasy Football, it is all about convincing the other owner that he/she is getting great value for a player that could potentially be a huge BUST, even if he is traded. How often do we see a player get traded to a team mid-season, and retain that same BEAST quality. Unless we are talking Fantasy Baseball or Fantasy Basketball, rarely ever. Most recent big names in Fantasy Football to be moved mid-season.

Trent Richardson to Colts. BUST
Carson Palmer to Raiders. BUST

While Matt Forte is a much more talented player than T-Quizz and Carson Palmer. He will still likely be traded to a team that already has a RB since all the teams that are interested already have a RB they are comfortable with in their system. Let us say hypothetically Forte gets traded to the Dallas Cowboys.

Forte gets traded after Sunday.
Week 5 learning playbook. Joseph Randle has another week to gain momentum on job.
Forte gets some action.

Week 6 Forte plays a little more, Joseph Randle still in the action.
Week 7 Forte plays a little more, Joseph Randle in the action a little less.
Week 8 Forte plays majority of game, Joseph Randle spells him.

If you are in this situation with Matt Forte, you could have up 3 unproductive weeks from Matt Forte. If your record is 1-2 or 0-3 heading into this Sunday, you cannot afford this downtime. Even if your record is 3-0, you are giving your opponents a chance to catch up as your top pick will not be the same BEAST you drafted and all watched during Week 1.

Now let us say hypothetically Matt Forte stays on the Bears for whatever reason since he will not re-sign and the Bears will likely not offer a 30 year old a big contract when the team is in rebuild mode. The Bears could finish this season with potentially 6 wins Max. If Jay Cutler returns this week and they pull off the mini upset against the Raiders, maybe 7. Still, not a great number but at least it will do, there is also a chance the Bears run Jeremy Langford a lot to see if he has long-term potential once Forte is gone. So here is the move and the strategy if I was a Matt Forte owner and I was talking to someone in my league making a trade.

Let us say the guy I am talking to is named Barry, he has Marshawn Lynch.

Munt: Barry, I got a trade offer for you. Matt Forte and James Jones for Marshawn Lynch.
Barry: I am going to hold onto Lynch.
Munt: Forte is going to blow up this week, Bears going to audition him and next thing you know it he will be on a contender team. Do I really need to say anything about James Jones? Clear #2 option in the Packers passing game.
Barry: It’s ok I am going to keep Lynch.

If Barry says that, say ok and does not want to trade, then try to propose the trade next week or one more time if there is any bad news about Lynch from this day forward.

Next, let us talk to Rachel who owns CJ Anderson and a superstar WR. In this case, Megatron.

Munt: Rachel, I got a trade offer for you. Matt Forte and James Jones for CJ Anderson and Calvin Johnson (do not call him Mega if you are trying to trade for him).
Rachel: I am not that high on Matt Forte.
Munt: The Bears are going to feed him the ball all day Sunday and next thing you know it he will be on a contender team. CJ Anderson just got his 2nd concussion and Ronnie Hillman will be an X-Factor all season long.
Rachel: Ok I want Steve Smith instead of James Jones.
Munt: Done.

There you have it. Anything less than those trading options, you are selling a little too high and it is best to cross your fingers for Week 4 like the Chicago Bears.
