HYDE & GO BUST
BEAST DOME BUST PICKS OF THE YEAR
BEAST DOME NATION
There are so many BEAST picks to show tomorrow that it is only fair I show my BUST picks of the year.
What Qualifies a BUST? A Bust is a player that I was higher on than any Expert. If the player was a 1st/2nd Round Pick in all leagues, that is not considered a BUST. Someone like Montee Ball was drafted in every 1st/2nd Round does not count. While I am the founder of Montee Ball and I do agree he never lived up to his potential. You would have had to pass up Arian Foster and Marshawn Lynch to take Montee Ball in Round 1, when both players were still on the board. The players I will consider Busts are players I had you target in your draft, when nobody else did.

2014 MUNTRADAMUS BUST PICKS
RGIII – WAS
What is there to say about RGIII that has not been said already. First he started everyone off with a beautiful 0-2 record failing to do anything against the Texans and then injuring himself over an invisible defender in Week 2. Once he was finally healthy he was ineffective going up against average defenses in Minnesota and San Francisco. Then when RGIII had one last chance to make up for his horrible season, Coach Gruden only calls 23 pass plays.
TRENT RICHARDSON – IND
T-Quizz. What started out as a preseason sleeper that would get you 10+ TDs, ended up being a RB who failed to distinguish himself in the Colts offense. Between Ahmad Bradshaw completely outscoring Trent when healthy, then Boom Herron doing enough to create a committee. It is safe to say Trent Richardson was a HUGE bust. It is amazing that a player can be so dominant as a Rookie, then two years later become a worthless RB on one of the best offenses in the NFL. It happens, luckily Trent was drafted as depth and not to be your starter.
CARLOS HYDE – SF
HYDE & GO BEAST. The Montee Ball pick of 2014 came to life as he never got his shot to be the featured RB. No matter how bad Frank Gore did during the season, the 49ers still left Frank the Tank as the lead RB in 2014. While Frank Gore did have a nice Week 16 for his Fantasy Owners, Frank failed to score double digit points nearly every week, while Carlos Hyde was sitting on every BEAST DOME owners bench, every week.
Maybe next season if the 49ers decide to let Frank Gore go, HYDE & GO BEAST will become a reality. Hyde still ended up with more rushing TDs than Gore.
SHONN GREENE – TEN
He was a player you can snag at the end of your draft, and I encouraged everyone to take the shot. Shonn Greene was nothing more than a below average goal line TD machine on an offense that never reached the redzone. Shonn Greene had a few nice moments like a TD in Week 3 and a good game in Week 1. For the most part he was grooming the spot for Bishop Sankey who really did not do anything as well. While drafting Shonn Greene at the end of your draft did not help, drafting Bishop Sankey like a Top 20 RB like every Fantasy Site ranked him proved to be the real bad call.
JARRETT BOYKIN – GB
The Nightmare on Boykin street was evident from Day 1. After not getting a single target in the game against the Seahawks on Sherman Island, which was followed by multiple dropped passes in Week 2. Jarrett Boykin quickly found himself in the doghouse and then the bench behind Davante Adams who failed to make a big impact this season. Once Boykin was in the doghouse he injured his thumb which kept him out a few weeks. Then when he was finally healthy he had a passing in his family which caused him to miss a game. When all of this adds up, Jarrett Boykin had a nightmare season for a player that was supposed to have so much potential in the Aaron Rodgers offense. Luckily Jarrett Boykin was a 7th round or later pick, but still a pick we wish we could all have back.
KENNY BRITT – STL
Kenny Britt was supposed to be the star WR for Shaun Hill and this somewhat potential Rams offense. In Week 1 Shaun Hill went down, which meant the end for Kenny Britt who thrived with Shaun Hill in the preseason. When Austin Davis was at QB, all he would is throw to Brian Quick every play. Eventually Austin Davis and Brian Quick got injured, which opened the door again for Kenny Britt and Shaun Hill. Britt had some HUGE fantasy moments in the middle of the season, but then like all Rams not named Tre Mason, he became forgotten. Britt was no doubt a BUST, he was also a late round pick who had some good moments if you stuck around for them.
HAKEEM NICKS – IND
Hakeem the Dream was featured heavily in the preseason. Once the NFL season started, Andrew Luck decided that Hakeem Nicks was not going to be a fantasy factor at all. Hakeem Nicks failed to offer any consistency, yet alone targets. It did not take Hakeem Nicks long to end up on every Waiver Wire, luckily he did not come at a high price and often fell to the last few rounds of your draft.
RICHARD RODGERS – TE
Sometimes you have to take a shot in the dark that makes sense. Drafting Richard Rodgers in the last round of your Fantasy Football draft was a no brainer as he had the potential to be a Fantasy Machine for the Packers. All of those dreams died quickly when the “Unicorn” broke his horn aka hurt his neck which led to the downfall of his season in Week 1. Soon after the injury Brandon Bostick was healthy, and Andrew Quarless was doing enough where Richard Rodgers never got the chance to be the featured TE for the Packers. While his back-to-back TDs in Week 11/12 were nice, he was already off the radar.
TEAM BEAST DOME
The RGIII Strikes Back (WEEK 16)
BEAST DOME NATION.
This is the last week for TEAM BEAST DOME. The story book season of RGIII leading my team, and all BEAST DOME teams to an early 0-2 record. Ryan Fitzmagic was the savior to battle from 0-2 all the way back to 8-5. Joe Flacco was in the mix, Josh McCown got a game in there, and now it all comes back to where we started.
RGIII. How perfect is the situation for him to comeback and lead all of your fantasy teams to a Championship in the end. He has arguably the best matchup a QB can ask for, and is home on National Television for Saturday Night Football. All of his weapons are 100% healthy ready to rock, and this is the last opportunity for him to show what he can do.
Not only is this an audition game for RGIII, but this much larger than that. This is his audition game to be the QB for the Eagles in the Chip Kelly system in 2015. IF RGIII explodes on Saturday, you can guarantee that the Eagles will grab RGIII and re-birth his career.
What makes RGIII such a dynamic fanasy QB is how quickly he racks up points. 20 yard throw here, 8 yard rush here, 15 yard throw there. RGIII gets quick fantasy points, and this is his first opportunity to be the QB since his disaster performance on the road against San Francisco. This is arguably his easiest matchup as well in what should be a high scoring game.
With the matchup being right, let your story book season end the way it was supposed to. RGIII being your QB and leading your team to a Championship, the reason you come to BEAST DOME in the first place.
A lot of people are swaying away from starting Andre Johnson. Unless you have good WRs who have been BEASTING all season long, great go with that option. But if you are trying to get fancy and avoid using Andre Johnson because he is going against the fierce Ravens D with Case Keenum at QB. You first have to look at how Andre Johnson did with Case last season.
There is enough upside in those breakout performance and consistent 10+ targets where you have to take the chance and roll with Andre. Ravens Secondary is not the greatest, Case loves Andre Johnson. I am going with Andre Johnson. Plus it won’t bother me when Arian does not get the carry, hopefully Keenum connects with my guy.
100 Points behind 1st Place. Never say never, but it is going to take a RGIII historic game.
TEAM BEAST DOME
BEAST DOME NATION.
Team BEAST DOME season continues in the consolation playoffs. A sentence I wish I never had to start out with, but that is what happens when your starting QB scores less than 6 points your first two weeks of the season to start a quick 0-2. *Finished 8-5. We all felt the wrath of RGIII this season and the situation in Washington is now a 100% complete mess that is something you just turn away when you hear anything about it.
Yes, I will admit the decision to push you all in the direction of RGIII did not work out, but the rest of my BEAST Picks this season were all Championship worthy. Everything from the 2 RB strategy to start your draft with Arian and Marshawn. To the Sleeper BEAST WR weapons in Mike Evans and Steve Smith Sr. Only if RGIII was able to manage 15+ points in those first two games, everyone’s season would have been fine.
1st Place is at 394 with two weeks left. Season is not over and if I my BEAST SQUAD can come up with two strong weeks from here, I have a chance to make things happen.
TEAM BEAST DOME
As of now I am going to leave Andre Johnson on my benchwith his status in serious question. It was an unfortunate time for Andre to get hurt as he was on his way to a MONSTER performance against the Jaguars grabbing 4 receptions very early in the 2nd quarter. A lot of people including myself are not happy with the season Andre The Giant was able to put together this season, but all the targets in the world were there. Besides last week where he got injured in the 2nd quarter, he never failed to see less than 7 targets a game. That type of consistency usually turns into Fantasy Gold, this season that was not the case.
DeAndre Hopkins will finally be trustworthy in the fantasy world as a WR#1 if Andre Johnson were to miss the game. While DeAndre was definitely the better WR between the two stat wise, Andre Johnson was always the #1 and always say more targets every single game.
IF Andre Johnson is starting on Sunday, he will be in my lineup for Percy Harvin as those 7+ Targets will keep coming.
In the end, I have the dream RB scenario in play with Arian Foster/Marshawn Lynch/C.J. Anderson (Montee Ball). C.J. Anderson really turned into the RB Montee Ball should have been this entire time in Denver. Moving forward, it is likely that Montee will get a shot next season to win his job back, but it will be a battle as C.J. Anderson is exactly what the Broncos are looking for from the RB position.
With that, another week, and another week to win $$$. If your season is OVER, it does not have to be.

TEAM BEAST DOME
BEAST DOME NATION.
Raise your hand if your season started 0-2 or worst.
Raise your hand if you thought all hope was lost at that moment.
Raise your hand if your team made a comeback and is now in playoff contention.
Raise your hand if you still believe.
If your team is anything like TEAM BEAST DOME, which most of them are. Your team is going through a very nice upswing that has put your team right back on the map. Whether it was the 4 TD game from Marshawn Lynch last Sunday, maybe it was the Mike Evans breakout party the last two weeks. Regardless of your situation, your season is never over until you are eliminated from the playoffs.
Fitzmagic helped rebound my squad from 0-2 to 6-4. Even though he did not play three of those games, his veteran leadership as well as nice breakout 49 yard rushing game in Week 9 has propelled my team to playoff contention, and now RGIII returns. I now stand two games out of the playoffs, my opponent this week is Kadubec (7-3) followed by Trillest (8-2). When I win both of those games, I should be right in the hunt with a big last regular season game on Week 13 for a playoff spot.
Since it is now or never for this team, and my opponent going through a lot of Bye Week Blues. I decided to snatch up the Waiver Wire even if it meant crossing my budget.
I know Montee is going to be the RB soon for Denver, but like I said. It is now or never for my team, and it is important I snatch up all of the weapons off the Waiver Wire so my opponent has to be dry. Because of my moves to grab Miles and Woods as well as overspend for C.J. Anderson. My opponent now stands like this.
With DeMarco Murray on a Bye. The only move left for him is to start Tre Mason at RB, which leaves him on an all or nothing with Andrew Luck and the Colts offense. Going up against my BEAST SQUAD.
Giving the keys to my team back to RGIII. First time since Week 2 which seems so long ago. RGIII and ‘Ride or Kai’ Forbath are the key to my team moving forward. As long as they combine for 30+ Points my team is money.
I have to bench Arian Foster, which allows the C.J. Anderson move to be that much more important. My WR’s this week are a little risky. Mike Evans has been nothing but a PURE BEAST. No expert ranked him higher this preseason outside of myself.
Most interesting thing about my team this week is my benching of a star.
TEAM BEAST DOME BENCH
I have to bench Andre Johnson this week against Cleveland. Joe Haden is too good of a DB where the risk is not worth the chew. To make things worst, Ryan Mallett and his first start leaves a lot of uncertainty. The fact Arian Foster is OUT could lead me to be more inclined to start Andre because of the potential, only throw the football mentaility. It is still not worth the risk. I would rather get the safe 6 Receptions and 60 Yards from James Jones than the potential BUST OF THE WEEK performance in Andre Johnson. Joe Haden + Ryan Mallett first start, in a must win game. I will take my chances with James.
My matchup looks good, and as long as my QB/K with some rushing TDs and the occasional WR TD, my team will BEAST another week.
*NOTE. Murray will be subbed out for Tre Mason.*
