Welcome to the 2017 BEAST DOME MLB ALL-STAR Team

CATCHER

MIKE ZUNINO

Munt Rank: 14

ECR: 21

12 HR. 202 At Bats.

The Catcher position has been so scarce this year, 12 HRs in only 64 games puts Zunino only 1 HR behind Gary Sanchez for the season. Zunino currently ranked tied in 4th at the position, he is 2 HRs away from being #2 at the position. Lots of baseball left, a great sleeper anyone could have grabbed at the end of their draft.

1B

TRAVIS SHAW

Munt Rank: 24

ECR: 36

19 HR. 65 RBI. 7 SB. 299 Average

Travis Shaw is killing it. The power hitting lefty from Boston has been one of the best players at the position as he currently Ranks as the #3 1B behind Votto and Goldy. Shaw should continue to crush through the 2nd half of the season, and if it was not for a small stint on the DL, Shaw could have been #1.

2B

JONATHAN SCHOOP

Munt Rank: 11

ECR: 16

18 HR. 54 RBI. .295 Average

Schoop leads all 2B in HRs and looks like the next potential Brett Boone or Jeff Kent, Schoop is crushing it and 40 HRs will be in his future either this year or next.

3B

MIGUEL SANO

Munt Rank: 10

ECR: 15

21 HR. 62 RBI. .276 Average

21 HRs and the potential 40+ HRs, Sano is a monster at the position and this is the last year he will ever be ranked outside of the Top 10.

SS

ELVIS ANDRUS

Munt Rank: 10

ECR: 15

11 HR. 50 RBI. 20 SB .300 Average

The number 2 ranked SS in Fantasy Baseball is putting on a show and a good reason to show all of you that you could have waited at the SS position. Andrus was a heavy part of the draft strategy and the breakout season is here.

OF

KEON BROXTON

Munt Rank: 21

ECR: 48

14 HR. 35 RBI. 17 SB .227 Average

Neon Keon was a BEAST DOME Legend from Day 1. Even with the early season struggles after 1 Month of 1 HR and 7 SB, I said to Buy Low on the BEAST DOME stud who is now tearing up with a potential 30 HR/40 SB season.

GEORGE SPRINGER OF

Munt Rank: 5

ECR: 10

27 HR. 61 RBI. .310 Average

No Expert Ranked George Springer higher than myself and he is having a MVP type season.

OF

AARON JUDGE

Munt Rank: 65

ECR: 95

30 HR. 66 RBI. 6 SB .329 Average

All Rise for the BEAST Fantasy Expert Muntradamus. Not only did Aaron Judge crush in the HR Derby, he is on his way to a Triple Crown Season.

BENCH

OF

JAY BRUCE

Munt Rank: 33

ECR: 55

23 HR. 59 RBI. .266 Average

The Bruce is loose. Jay is on his way to a 45+ HR season, something his Ex-Fantasy Owners could only dream of his from his past.

DOMINGO SANTANA OF

Munt Rank: 48

ECR: 68

15 HR. 50 RBI. 9 SB .290 Average

Domingo Santana is a BEAST in the making and is on his way to a 30 HR/20 SB season. A player that could have been had at the end of all your drafts.

CAMERON MAYBIN OF

Munt Rank: 63

ECR: 88

25 SB. 6 HR. 21 RBI

So Call me Maybin has been a BEAST DOME favorite for years, and when he signed with the Angels, playing time was never a concern despite the horrible Spring Training. Maybin was leading the AL in SB heading into July.

JOSH HARRISON 2B/3B

Munt Rank: 22

ECR: 28

10 HR. 29 RBI. 10 SB .280 Average

Harrison is on his way to a 20/20 Season for a price of a near last round draft pick. Harrison has always had potential, and now the playing time is there for the MLB All-Star utility man.

ZACK COZART SS

Munt Rank: 20

ECR: 29

9 HR. 35 RBI. 2 SB .316 Average

Cozart was leading the MLB in batting average all the way until a hamstring injury in June derailed his season. Cozart was the leading the MLB SS in all votes before the injury. He should rebound nicely in the 2nd half.

SP

GIO GONZALEZ

MUNT Rank: 47

ECR: 64

7 Wins. 110 Ks. 2.86 ERA. 1.23 WHIP

Gio the Explorer is on his way to a career year as he has regained his vintage form being one of the strikeout leaders for a fraction of a penny. The Nationals will continue to win games, Gio will continue to rack Ks.

MICHAEL FULMER

MUNT Rank: 16

ECR: 32

9 Wins. 84 Ks. 3.19 ERA. 1.12 WHIP

Nobody more dependable than Fulmer. Okay that might not be true, but Fulmer was rock solid during the 1st Half of the MLB season and Detroit’s offense will give Fulmer the potential for a 20 Win season.

RP

WADE DAVIS

MUNT Rank: 2

ECR: 9

2 Wins. 16 Saves. 1.80 ERA. 1.00 WHIP

The Cubs played as bad baseball as they could have played, and Wade Davis still made the All-Star Team. Granted he gave up the game winning HR to Cano, Davis should BEAST out in the 2nd half and rank as the Top Closer in Fantasy Baseball.

BRANDON KINTZLER

MUNT Rank: 20

ECR: 34

2 Wins. 24 Saves. 2.29 ERA. 0.50 WHIP

Kinztler currently ranks as a Top 5 Closer in the saves department, and you could have had him at the end of your draft for a penny.

BEST FANTASY BASEBALL EXPERT SO FAR? YOU BE THE JUDGE

BEST FANTASY BASEBALL EXPERT SO FAR?

YOU BE THE JUDGE

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

The Fantasy Baseball Season is still very young. There are players who are struggling mightly who will come around and give you the Fantasy Production you need. A couple weeks ago I gave you Keon Broxton.

Since that article Keon Broxton has delivered stats that puts him on 1st Round Pick Level.

The Draft Strategy this year for Fantasy Baseball was to pick your OF options late. Including Keon Broxton. Here are a few other OF options you would have ended up with if you followed the Draft Strategy.

OF

AARON JUDGE – NYY – OF

MLB LEADING 14 HR

MUNTRADAMUS RANK vs. EXPERT CONSENSUS

No Expert came even close to giving the next Mickey Mantle the respect he deserved. Not even myself. Yet I find myself as the Top Ranked Expert.

I bought into some bad hype about him starting the season in the Minors, which forced me to Rank him outside of the Top 40 where I originally had him. Still no Expert gave him the Love he deserved. With that being said, he was still a major part of the BEAST DOME 2017 Draft Strategy in taking OF options late.

Aaron Judge is a 6’7 BEAST who will be crushing HRs for the next 15 Years and already the favorite to easily win the HR Debry this season.

OF

MATT HOLLIDAY – NYY – OF

7 HR/24/.280 Average

MUNTRADAMUS RANK vs. EXPERT CONSENSUS

Holliday is ripping the cover off the ball like I expected. Holliday was a MUST-DRAFT part of the Strategy and he is living up to the numbers that will put him in the Top 20. Holliday has similar numbers to Mookie Betts on the season and there is no reason to believe Holliday will slow down in the middle of that Yankee lineup.

OF

JAY BRUCE – NYM – OF

10 HR/26 RBI/.274 Average

MUNTRADAMUS RANK vs. EXPERT CONSENSUS

Bruce is the type of guy who hits 30 HR just about every season, with the potential to hit 40+. Swinging at bad pitches and striking out used to be part of Jay’s game, but ever since joining the Mets his strikeout rate is better than Paul Goldschmidt’s. Jay is on top of his game and looks as easy as ever to hit 40 HR in 2017.

BEAST DOME NATION.

If there is one thing you know about me as far as being a Fantasy Baseball Expert. I take being hit in the head with a pitch very seriously. So seriously I was the only Expert to Rank Giancarlo Stanton a BUST his first season back after being smashed in the face with a 90+ MPH Fastball. (2015)

You look at how Sammy Sosa and his career took a downfall when he got hit in the head with a Fastball. It is something very psychological.

Warning the Video Below will be Harmful if you are thinking about playing Baseball

That was April 6th and Broxton has actually turned his season around. Starting 1 for his first 10 (.100 batting average), Broxton has nearly doubled his production as he bats a mere .194. While you may be discouraged by that number, he has at least 1 Hit in 8 of his last 10 games, which shows a lot of consistency and confidence heading his way. Neon Keon also stole 4 Bases over that span giving him 6 Total for the season.

Let us not forget that Keon Broxton was putting up numbers that would have made him an automatic 1st Round Pick last season. 4 HR and 11 SB in August last season is nearly historic. If he did that in May he would be 2nd in Stolen Bases to Billy Hamilton for the month who steals on every pitch. Keon does have the power stroke and he will figure it out.

In all leagues you MUST Trade for Keon Broxton. He is a player who currently has 1 HR/6 SB batting .194. He could easily finish with 17 HR/41 SB. 278. The Baseball season is young, it is long, and it is young. Be patient and you can get your stars. Keon Broxton is the next Gregory Polanco in the making.

BEASTBACK THURSDAY JESSE HAHN HAS GOT IT GOING ON

BEASTBACK THURSDAY

JESSE HAHN HAS GOT IT GOING ON

By Muntradamus

Here is an article I wrote about Jesse Hahn in 2015.

JESSE HAHN HAS GOT IT GOING ON

Today we see Jessee Hahn once again come back to life. His ERA is 2.08 through 4 Starts and he is averaging 5 Strikeouts Per Start. Those are numbers that should make every Fantasy owner jump up for joy.

The AL West is becoming a weak offensive division with the Mariners struggling to get the production they once had for Nelson Cruz (Good Buy Low. Current 4 HR/21 Games). The Astros and Rangers are solid, but the Angels Offense is very weak as well. A team that Hahn just cruised through for 8 Shutout Innings. Not only that, he only allowed 1 Hit. Which totals 3 Hits allowed in his last two starts combined!!

The thing about Hahn is he will not set the world on fire and to be honest he is a much better depth pitcher than someone you want to consistently depend on. However if the matchups look good for the week, you can throw him out there with enough confidence that he can reliever a QS with upside.

However owned in less than 20% of CBS LEAGUES. He is a Guy that should easily reach 60%+ and makes for great trade bait while his name is hot. Not like Jesse’s mom, but Jesse Hahn.

SUPER BASH BROTHERS

By Muntradmaus

BEAST DOME NATION.

It is no secret that Mark Trumbo and Chris Davis are headliners at BEAST DOME.

MUNTRADAMUS HR CHAMPION PREDICTION

Chris Davis was my HR Champion pick in 2013 and 2015. Mark Trumbo was my guy in 2016.

Today these two BASH BROTHERS go to the small ball park in Cincy to face Bronson Arroyo. Bronson does not have what it takes to strike either of these two sluggers up. When they come up to bat, you can expect Fireworks to be shooting from the sky all game.

I could go on about both of these sluggers, but by now you already know.
