2013-2014 NFL SEASON PREDICTIONS

*PRESEASON PREDICTION WRITTEN IN SEPTEMBER*

SUPERBOWL XLVIII

DENVER BRONCOS vs. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

The Broncos have enough options to make Peyton Manning effective against the Seahawks tough secondary.

The Seahawks should be able to do whatever they want against this Broncos defense that has not faced a Marshawn Lynch type RB in some time.

While everything is going well with Peyton, it is not well enough as his Fantasy Numbers will not be enough to carry his team.  Marshawn racks up over 150 Yards on the Ground, Russell Wilson makes plays with his legs.  Montee Ball has a tough time against the Seahawks Defense that came to play.

2013 NFL CHAMPIONS

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Russell Wilson/Marshawn Lynch/Percy Harvin/Sidney Rice/Golden Tate.  The offense has too many weapons.

Kam Chancellor/Earl Thomas/Brandon Browner/Richard Sherman.  There is not a better secondary in the NFL.  Nothing close.

SUPER BOWL XLVIII

Seattle vs. Denver

Why Denver Has No Chance

It was Week 15 of the Fantasy Football Season.  The Denver Broncos played host to the San Diego Chargers on Thursday Night.  Everyone in the world expected Peyton Manning to torch the Chargers as he inches closer to his records.  Instead, San Diego played Denver the best way possible.

You Burn Clock.  You Burn Clock.  You Burn Clock.

The Broncos could not stop Ryan Mathews who went on to rush for 127 Yards/1TD on 29 Carries.  Peyton Manning did not play perfect, and when the Broncos fell behind.  Ryan Mathews kept pounding them for more yards and burning more clock.  The Broncos ended up losing this game 20-27 as the recipe was built on how to Beat Denver.

This style of Football that San Diego played on that Thursday Night.

Seattle takes to a completely Higher level that is unmatched.

6 Reasons Denver Will Lose

1. Denver Does Not Have A Good Run Defense

The reason their team defense looks solid against the Run (#8), is because they are usually blowing out teams who go pass 1st/2nd/3rd in the 2nd Half.

2. Denver never Faced a Marshawn Lynch RB

The difference between Jamaal Charles/LeSean McCoy and Marshawn Lynch.  Marshawn can run over your entire team.  As long as you are quick, you can tackle Charles and McCoy.  Denver’s LB core is built for speed, not Power.

3. Denver never Faced a QB who can take off and run like Russell Wilson

Terrelle Pryor does not count.  The Raiders also have little talent on their team.  Russell Wilson can run the Spread Offense Playaction QB draw better than any QB in the NFL.  I would rather have Kaepernick on a Fantasy Level, Russell Wilson on a reality level.

4. Denver Never Faced A Tough Secondary

Baltimore in Week 1 may be the toughest Secondary Denver faced, and Peyton Manning threw for 7 TDs.  Seattle is Baltimore on an Alex Rodriguez amount of Steroids.  Hopefully I don’t get sued for that comment.

5. Denver Never Faced A Team As Physical as Seattle

Baltimore may be the most Physical Defense Denver Faced.  Peyton and his cupcake schedule was nice this season.

Expect Seattle to hit Peyton Manning often.

To be Physical with all of their WRs off the line of scrimmage messing up Peyton’s timing.

Most importantly, Knowshon Moreno to finally look like Knowshon Moreno.

6. Weather

If it’s cold out.  Seattle has a HUGE advantage.  If it’s snowing, the game is over.  Denver cannot win in a defensive battle, and you know that Peyton will not torch the Seattle Secondary in the Snow.

BEAST OF THE GAME

MARSHAWN LYNCH

Marshawn Lynch is a BEAST who cannot be stopped.  SF cannot stop him. and no other defense is nearly as good.  Denver will get ran over, Lynch will easily have 145 Yards and 2 TDs.  If this was a normal week of the Fantasy Football Season, Marshawn Lynch would be a Top Tier Must-Start RB.

If this was a normal week of the Fantasy Football Season for your Denver Players.  Outside of Peyton/Demaryius who cannot be benched.  It would be best to look at other options.

  1. Nice to see you back posting on NFL predictions Munt! Keep up the good work on fanduel and NBA bets bud! Also,if it weren’t for your email, I honestly would’ve bet on the broncos but after reading your breakdown, SEAHAWKS. I had lynch on my fantasy team and he is hungry..beast mode. Thanks for the info Munt and I’ll keep in touch.

  2. Great write up Munt, but I wish it would have come out a little sooner. I’m sure 95% of people (myself included) had already placed their bets before the day of the game.
