MUNTRADAMUS BOOT\nCAMP DAY 4\nNO MORE JAY. STILL BAD TEAM (CHICAGO BEARS)\n \n\nBy Muntradamus\n\nBEAST DOME NATION.\n\nThe Chicago BEARS. A team that lost saw greatness when the Bulls were a success during the Jordan days. Year after Year, this team never reaches the Playoffs always watching Green Bay win the NFC North. No more Jay Cutler, no more Matt Forte (2016), no more Brandon Marshall (2015).\n\nWait.. no wonder the Jets were so bad when they acquired Forte in 2016 to reunite him with Brandon Marshall.\nDEFENSE\nC\nThe Bears Defense is not scary. C is a generous grade. Last season the team could not stay healthy. Keeping Vic Fangio around as the DC for his 3rd Straight season seems to be a bad move. The Bears defense has never been a threat over that time and the moves they made are not going to wow you.\n\nDefensive Line still the same led by Aikem Hicks. Big daddy Goldman up front is not a good DT.\n\nLinebackers are solid with Jerrell Freeman and Danny Trevethan will try to be the same player coming off of knee surgery which is never easy. McPhee and Floyd also had trouble staying healthy on the outside. All athletic freaks, but all coming off of injuries.\n\nThe Secondary for the Bears is led by newcomer, 'The Prince Of Amukamara.' Signing Marcus Cooper at the other corner from AZ will be helpful, sure he learned a lot playing with Patrick Peterson. Amos and Demps return at Safety making for a team that you can really find a lot of room in the seams.\n\nThe Bears Defense does not have a lot of upside this season.\nOFFENSE\nC+\nJordan Howard is a BEAST. A BEAST that can take over any game and be a David Johnson type of player. It is unfortunate for Jordan Howard that his team is the Chicago Bears.\n\nQB Mike Glennon (Waiver Wire) will hold the table for 1 Year. It is his job to groom 1st Round Pick Mitchell Trubisky, who everyone in Chicago is not happy about at all. Mike Glennon is not a bad QB who is guaranteed $15 Million this season, which is a lot of money. Glennon has a big arm and he will be taking shots to Kevin White (WR 3) who reminded me of Julio Jones when I saw him run as a Rookie. White should be healthy after all the foot problems as he is still young and still able to put together a full season From Week 1 to the end. Mike Glennon did a great job with Mike Evans his breakout year, we can see that same type of sleeper potential from Kevin White this season.\n\nCameron Meredith (WR 4) should be solid as well in the slot and can put together a sleeper 1,000 Yard Season. I would not count on it. Kendall Wright (WR 5) coming over from Tennessee should be a nice sleeper for the Bears offense, but I see him more of a player who will eat targets from Meredith. Zach Miller (TE 2) is a good player and can see 5+ TD with no problem. That is the weapon portion of the Bears passing game.\n\nIf the Bears can get good blocking from their same unit from a year ago all returning along with 2nd Round Center Whitehair. Jordan Howard should be able to turn in a very strong RB 2 season. Not a player I would target in the first few rounds, but if he slips on Draft Day. That is an every week BEAST who can run through every defense, as well as catch a lot of passes. 1,700 Total Yards and 15 TD is more than possible for Howard.\n\n\nIF MUNTRADAMUS WAS COACH\nJordan Howard. Jordan Howard. Jordan Howard. I would treat Jordan Howard like he was Adrian Peterson in his prime and do everything you can to get him the ball. Even when the Bears are losing in the game, throw the little screen passes to Howard and let him make big plays.\n\nOnce the defense over commits top stopping Howard, that is when I let Mike Glennon and his $15 million arm take deep shots to Kevin White or find Cameron Meredith in the slot. This offense can be productive if they make the right calls.\n\nUnfortunately I do not have faith in the Bears play calling. Dowell Loggains is not a successful story. Working with the Titans\/Browns\/Bears in the last three years as either an OC or QB Coach is pretty atrocious. In fact I intentionally stared with the bad teams when starting my boot camp and here I am talking about the QB Coach for these three horrible Franchises in this decade.\nCONCLUSION\nNot excited about the Bears at all this season with Dowell Loggains calling the shots. Kevin White and Jordan Howard are BEAST potential Football players and could make for good Draft Day Sleepers.\n\nAt this point very early in Muntradamus Boot Camp.
