FANTASY FOOTBALL TRADE MARKET: GOING THE OPPOSITE OF GREEN (WEEK 10)

FANTASY FOOTBALL TRADE MARKET:

GOING THE OPPOSITE OF GREEN (WEEK 10)

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

The bad apples of the Nation are almost clear, once they are gone I will start to share some more insight.  For now, let us look at a pressing issue in Fantasy Football.

MAKING THE PLAYOFFS

Some of us are on the cusp, others are ready to call it quits, while some have already clinched.  If your team is fighting for a playoff spot.  It is time to make a drastic move.

It is time to sell GREEN BAY players.

With Aaron Rodgers out for likely 3 Weeks and possibly more, your team cannot afford to take the hit with low production.  Players like Eddie Lacy are at an all-time value high, Jordy Nelson was recognized as a Lock Top 5 WR when Rodgers was healthy.

EDDIE LACY – RB

If you decide to sell Eddie Lacy, make sure you are getting your moneys worth.  Lacy has crawled all the way to being a Top 10 RB.  He was exactly what Cedric Benson was supposed to be last season for this team.  With no Aaron Rodgers, you can expect legitimate defenses to actually key up on the run and let Seneca Wallace beat them through the air.  I would trade Lacy for nothing less than a Reggie Bush.  Even that trade is questionable, but Lacy’s production will take a small hit with no legitimate QB.  Just ask Adrian Peterson how life is when his QB cannot get it done.

DO NOT SELL LACY SHORT.
KEEP LACY IF YOU ARE LOCKED IN FOR THE PLAYOFFS.
TRADE HIM IF YOU NEED PRODUCTION NOW.

JORDY NELSON – WR

Jordy is hurt by the loss of Aaron Rodgers more than anyone.  Jordy is now a WR who you can only hope for 70 Yards with Rodgers sidelined.  Seneca Wallace does not have a legitimate QB arm and Jordy is a player you can sell now if you need wins.  If you are in a good position for the Playoffs, then do not sell Jordy for too little, but do not hold onto him if your record is in the 3-5 range, you need wins now.  If you can somehow get Desean Jackson for Jordy straight up, that is a steal.

JAMES JONES – WR

Here is where you do the opposite.  If you can grab James Jones off the wire if any team panics and drops him, James is a great stash.  By the time Rodgers returns (If he does) Jones should be 100%.  When James Jones is 100%, and Rodgers is playing.  Then you have yourself a legitimate WR #2 who is 100% healthy on the high flying Packers offense.

  1. Whats up Beastnation! Who would you rather have ROS..mathews, rice, richardson, or jones-drew? Thanks!

  2. Hey Munt. I never got to chance to thank you for what you’ve done. I’ve been coming here for two years now for baseball and football. A lot of people question my success in fantasy only being 19, won championship last year in FF, and made playoffs FB. But most of it’s all because of you. Just wanted say thanks and thanks for Chris Johnson this season you called it.

  3. Is it time to pick up Montee Ball back from the wire?…Hillman is losing & Moreno cant move the ball..is he worthy of starting this wk 10?

  4. Rice,..even if T rich has the weakest schedule. He’s now part of Indy’s RBBC with D. Brown.

  5. At 6-3 with DJax, Percy, Stevie, DMoore would it still be wise to trade away Jordy? I’m pretty much set at every other pos. and the only players I think I’d be able to get would be straight up for decker or amendola and another weaker player should I try or stand pat?

  6. Anyone object to this trade:
Russ Wilson, DeMarco, Keenan Allen, and Jimmy Graham for Phil Rivers, CJ2K, Alshon Jeffrey, and Gronk?

I’ve been following Munt since last season…wish I had known of him sooner. He is a fantasy prophet.

  7. Just kind of a gut feeling, but I like Mathews a lot this season. I think you can only use him in games where the chargers won’t be blown out though. If you look at the rest of his schedule he gets Denver this week and again in week 15, but other than that he gets Miami, KC twice, Cincy, Giants, Oakland… can’t see any of them being blowouts, so Mathews should see touches, and when he has touches he puts up points.

  8. Baltimore has the easiest ROS out of the 3 but you have to consider overall offense. SD has a passing game the others don’t really have, so they can stay competitive and give the running game touches. Baltimore and Jacksonville not nearly as much. I also worry about Jacksonville splitting carries since Jones-Drew is in a contract year for a lost season so they may want to hand it off more to their rookie.

I’d go Matthews, Rice, then Jones-Drew.

  9. I just traded for James jones. I’m glad munt feels the same way. Makes me feel more confidant.

  10. Hey Munt, have Dalton and Ryan. is Lacy worth selling for Stafford to solidify the QB position? still have Morris and thanks to you Brown and Stewart. along with Welker, Decker, Colston

  11. I think this is the last week before deadline you can sell Lacy. Gmen have punished RBs as of late. losing value as the weeks progress
