FANTASY FOOTBALL THURSDAY NIGHT LIGHTS BATTLE OF THE SOUTH (WEEK 14)

FANTASY FOOTBALL THURSDAY NIGHT LIGHTS

BATTLE OF THE SOUTH

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

The Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints usually means one thing time after time for the last 6 years. A good old fashion shootout. This week with the game being in Atlanta, we should expect exactly that.

The Saints offense on the road would like to use Kamara as much as they can as Mark Ingram is looking more and more like the change of pace RB for the Saints. Kamara is a special talent and even though he is tiny, the guy does not go down and he has a motor that is a tank. The Falcons Run D is fast enough and strong enough to take down Kamara, but it almost seems like that is impossible these days and everytime he touches the ball it has potential to be a HUGE play. Mark Ingram is going to play with a battle wounded toe injury, Ingram still looks good and is still a Top 5 RB in Fantasy Football, but Alvin Kamara is trending up while Ingram is trending down. Through the air Drew Brees is going to be Brees on Primetime TV, we have all watched enough football over the years to know Brees will show up when the cameras are on. Michael Thomas will be the #1/#2 option down field, then Ginn and the rest of the Saints WR collection will tag along whatever targets are left from the almighty Drew Brees.

When the Falcons are on offense they will use Devonta Freeman/Tevin Coleman to the point where the Saints decide they need to leave single coverage on all WRs minus Julio. Once that happens, Matt Ryan will use his weapons and the Falcons can look like the NFC Champions all over again. The Falcons offense has been more inconsistent than they would like to admit, a lot of that is because of a new Offensive Coordinator, still, a down year in the eyes of the Falcons offense which led Atlanta to a Superbowl last season. The Saints defense does not have the talent to compete with a team like the Falcons. Matt Ryan and the Falcons offense will have their way.

Having Home Field advantage in a matchup like this will make a big difference. Falcons will come to play at Home and it will show.
