No questions, just wanted to say thanks for the hustle Munt! I trust BEAST DOME more than any other site on the web. It could be the CNN of fantasy football as far as I’m concerned. Munt is a prophet.

Im not saying u r wrong but wow….Ball hasnt even been named the starter and u have him ranked that high? Fine by me though…I have him on all 4 of my teams

  • SSxAcoso September 1, 2013   Reply →

I missed ball in this league:(. Do you think forte/McFadden/givens for Murray/welker/ball is a bad trade.. Guys still low on ball^^

    • Muntradamus September 1, 2013   Reply →

If you can make that trade.

Consider this the First BEAST DOME Trade Rape I have seen on the site this season.

Just had my draft rankings were extremely helpful!

Caught some flack for passing on MJD, CJ2K, FGore, and Ridley to draft Demarco and Reggie Bush, but confident it will workout.

    My team:
    AP
    Demarco
    Reggie Bush
    Gronk
    Montee Ball
    Jordy Nelson
    Desean J
    Miles Austin
    Russell Wilson
    Anquan bolden
    Mike Williams
    Jermichael Finley
    Ben Tate
    Hauschka
    Andre Brown
    Bucs D

Keep up the hard work this year!

    Munti,
Love your stuff.Think you really have the pulse on this game. Have just completed our draft. QB’s wound up going very expensive, with Eli Manning, Andrew Luck & Colin Kaepernick all being drafted for top dollar as back-ups. I am concerned that I have left myself a big hole by not getting a really good QB. Some vital stats from my league: 14 team, 6 pts per passing TD, PPR. My roster currently looks like this:

QB – Josh Freeman, Ryan Tannehill
RB – DeMarco Murray, Reggie Bush, Lamar Miller, Montee Ball
WR – Reggie Wayne, Steve Smith, DeSean Jackson, Justin Blackmon
TE – Rob Gronkowski, Julius Thomas
    K – Rian Lindell
    D – Tampa Bay, Carolina

I am fairly sure that I can swing a trade for either Luck or Tony Romo by using Lamar Miller as trade bait. Jonathan Stewart is currently sitting on the FA wire, which would be my fallback plan.

My questions are: Does this leave me too thin at RB by losing Miller? (Which given the fragile nature of the first two, is worrisome.) Or is the damage that Luck or Romo can do compared to Freeman worth the trade? I would really love to hear some thoughts on this conundrum.

    • Muntradamus September 1, 2013   Reply →

Thank you Santee for the love.

Make the trade. Montee Ball is your #3 RB and your QBs will not get it done on a consistent basis. If you have to start Tannehill for nothing more than a bye-week replacement, it will be hard to win your league.

  • SSxAcoso September 1, 2013   Reply →

Thanks Muntz for all your insight. I appreciate it.

  • miabbett September 1, 2013   Reply →

Hey Munt, it’s been awhile. I’m in a 12 team Yahoo league which is QB/WR/WR/WR/RB/RB/TE/K/Def. I know to obviously go RB in the 1st and 2nd rounds, but after that, do I go QB, WR, or TE? As always, thanks for the help!

    • Muntradamus September 1, 2013   Reply →

Target Montee in 5. Target Gronk in 4.

Get Tony Romo and stack up on WRs after.

  • wannaBEast September 1, 2013   Reply →

Hey munt, first off your the man. What do you think about my team:
RB: Shady, matt forte, d murray, ryan matthews, ahmad bradshaw WR: roddy white, desean jackson, anquan boldin, chris givens, josh gordon, michael floyd
    QB: colin Kaepernick, ben roeth
    TE: GRONK
    K: David akers
    Def: Tampa
im in a 10 team league and my internet locked up causing me to miss on a backup TE. What wide do u thing I should drop for backup TE? open TE Zach Sudfeld, jermaine gresham, julius thomas, dwayne allen, rob housler, brent celek, ed dickson. (Im guessing you will say julius thomas based on rankings but just making sure) Thanks!

  • Cnop September 1, 2013   Reply →

Went QB/K with Romo/Bailey and got Dola/Jackson/Austin Gronk.
Trade offer is already in for Ball.

I guess i’ll thank you now for the trophy that i will see soon

All in on Munt for the win.

  • Jim September 1, 2013   Reply →

Ended up snagging Ball but I’m in a half point per reception league. Would you start Montee over Sproles in a flex spot week 1?

  • TWHAT19 September 1, 2013   Reply →

thanks for all you do and the advice…Just finished my 12 team standard draft…this is what i ended up with in order..
    1 – rb lynch
    2 – rb jackson
    3 – rb murray
    4 – te gronk
    5 – rb ball
    6- wr jordy nelson
    7 – wr austin
8 – qb feeman (all others were taken by now – guys picking backups like romo and eli in 5th -7th rounds???)
    9 – wr boldin
    10- wr gordon
    11 – wr britt
    12 – k lindel
    13 – qb bradford
    14 – te davis
    15 – def bucs
what do you think Munt? little worried over QB situation, stay put or try and make a trade for a better QB?

  • dropdimes15 September 1, 2013   Reply →

What’s up Munt! Glad to be back in the Dome!
Thanks for the podcast the other night, really good stuff once again. Appreciate all your hard work.
Just drafted in 10 team ppr idp league where passing stats are upped so QB’s are considerably higher scoring than standard.

    QB – Peyton
    RB – Mccoy, Montee, S Jax(flex)
WR(3) – Welker, Miles Austin, Boldin
    TE – Gronk, Finley
    K – Prater
DEF – chiefs (week 1 vs jags)
IDP – Geno Atkins, Posluszny, Tillman
    BENCH
Bradshaw, Giovani, Bryce Brown, Josh Gordon
    Sanu

I’m doing the week by week defense strategy. My WR worry me (besides Welker in the 6th) but I went RB crazy for depth and there’s plenty of WR talent on waivers as the year progresses. At the very least I should have solid RB trade bait. Any input from anyone would be appreciated.

      you are stacked brotha!

  • ElJoven September 1, 2013   Reply →

Hey munt, thanks for the great insight! I was offered a trade and I could use some help…
    I’m in a .5PPR league. Starters are: 1QB 1RB 2WR 1TE 2FLEX
    My Roster:
    QB: E Manning, A Dalton
    RB: S Jackson, R Bush, V Ballard, A Brown
WR: C Johnson, S Smith, M Williams, Michael Floyd, A Dobson
    TE: Gronk, V Davis

I’m working a trade of Amendola and Jordan Cameron for Vernon Davis. Is that a good move? I really like Davis this year and like having him as a backup in case Gronk has more injury trouble than anticipated. The problem is, Dola is so injury prone… What do you think??

Thanks in advance and I look forward to reading more form you! Keep up the great work!

    • dropdimes15 September 2, 2013   Reply →

no doubt make that move if you can. gronk will be back eventually so even if you do have your concerns with amendola’s health, that is still well worth the risk.

  • JHillinger September 1, 2013   Reply →

Packaged Wilson and Rice for Romo and Britt. Double upgrade, according to you. I hope it works out.

  • heisenberg September 1, 2013   Reply →

Watched yr podast last night Munt.
    You spoke mad sense.
Usually the type of guy who value picks.
This year I reached and then layed in the cut and stole.
    12 team 1 pt ppr 6 pt qb WR/RB/TE/Flex. 8 player bench
QB RGIII (im a homer) and Romo
WR Calvin, Fitz, Miles Austin, T. Austin , M. Floyd, Patton, S.Hill
RB Sjax, Mathews, Ball, Stewart, M. Bush, Moreno
    TE Gronk, Fred Davis

My rb depth is kinda concerning. Hoping Stewart kills it

  • Jeffisgone September 2, 2013   Reply →

Every mock draft I have done using your draft strategy and your rankings gives me Miles Austin, Romo, and of course Bailey as my kicker. A few times I even ended up with Demarco Murray. Is this bad to get all these Dallas players. It is because you ranked all the Dallas players higher than most everyone else. Please advise before my draft tonight. BTW I am a big Dallas fan.

  • Dallasdavek September 2, 2013   Reply →

    Munt
Great stuff!! Thank you for the countless hours to set us up for the season!!

With my new found wealth (Romo’s ranking) should I still roll with Freeman on the bench? Dropped my punter to pick up a discarded Josh Gorden off the waiver.

The current thought is to roll with the punter spot open until I can go a 2 4 1 trade to upgrade WR.

    Thanks again.

    • C Spit September 2, 2013   Reply →

Your league has punters??? Wow. Detroit might have a good rookie P Sam Martin.

  • C Spit September 2, 2013   Reply →

I’ve been offered Wes Welker for Randall Cobb in a non ppr league, should I take it?

    • Anonymous September 2, 2013   Reply →

      I would!! Welker tier 2 ranked 7th. Cobb tier 3 around 20th.

      My draft:
      12 man PPR (one flex)

      QB-Romo, EJ Manuel
RB- SJax, R.Bush, Montee Ball, Joique Bell, Leshore, Helu
      WR- DeseanJax, Nicks, Austin
      TE- Gronk, Julius Thomas
      DEF- Bears, Bucs
      PK- D.Bailey

Wasn’t sure of Reggie’s handcuff so I drafted the whole Detroit running game. Need to drop Leshore I think and add a receiver. I look forward to your coming analyses Munt! You rock…and your BEASTCASTS are the shizz!!

so are you guys going to start montee ball week 1? i got him in the 6 round of my 12 person ppr league. i currently have him in the flex position, it’s either him or anquan boldin?

MUNT: Got stuck with 10th pick in a 10 man, but just managed to trade T Rich and Murray for Marshawn and Montee! Do you think I should start Montee week 1 or run S Jax until Montee becomes a clear starter?

Meachem back in NO , anything there ?

    • AdviceSeeker September 3, 2013   Reply →

doubt it. Colston, Graham, Lance Moore and their backup WRs are better than Meachem. there’s a reason why he got cut from the CHARGERS WHO HAVE NO WRs anymore.
