WEEK 13 RECAP HAIKUS

BUFFALO BILLS

Ryan Fitzpatrick did not have weather on his side. Still did well.
Fred Jackson is the workhorse RB in reality.
C.J. Spiller is still an electric RB#2 with limited touches.

Scott Chandler caught the ball that counts. 11 Yard TD.
Bills D/ST is playing better thanks to Super Mario.

MIAMI DOLPHINS

Ryan Tannehill is inconsistent as they come.
Reggie Bush is starting to play like his old-self. Goal line TD would have been huge.
Daniel Thomas gets a huge downgrade with that news.
The loss of Jake Long really hurts.
Patriots eliminated Davone Bess.
Brian Hartline was decent with 82 Yards on a team leading 10 Targets.
Dolphins D/ST played very well, weather conditions helped.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

Tom Brady missed Julian Edelman and Aaron Hernandez on easy TDs.
Stevan Ridley continues to sniff his way into the end zone.
Shane Vereen/Danny Woodhead make each other hard to predict.
Wes Welker continues to be the go-to-guy for Brady.
Aaron Hernandez has big shoes to fill with Gronk gone, he can fill them.
Brandon Lloyd was ineffective with the wind.
Julian Edelman re-injured his foot. Out for the season.
Patriots D/ST is playing at a high level.

NEW YORK JETS

Tebow time should be coming soon.
Shonn Greene went into BEAST MODE with 104 Yards. When’s the last time he did that?
Also fell at the 1 yard line instead of scoring a TD. Intentionally.
Bilal Powell is remaining a productive low-end RB#3 with 12 Touches/game.
The #1 option in Jets passing game is wide open with Keller out.
Jeff Cumberland is a good add as a low-end #2 TE.
NYJ D/ST had a gift playing Lindley. Did not score a TD with the opportunity.

HOUSTON TEXANS

Matt Schaub stopped putting up numbers after the 1st quarter. Thanks to the Titans not doing anything.
Arian Foster was able to sneak into the end zone despite having a terrible game.
Justin Forsett saw just as many carries.
Ben Tate is back, still behind Forsett until Tate has a big game.
Andre Johnson did not see as many targets as usual (7).
Owen Daniels led  the way in targets with 10, though he saw James Casey steal the TD.
Garrett Graham could return from his concussion.
Texans D/ST is a good group to depend on.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

Andrew Luck turned it around with two huge drives at the end of the game.
Vick Ballard and Donald Brown split Carries. Advantage Ballard. Brown also injured.
Reggie Wayne was #3 on the team with targets. First time all season.
T.Y. Hilton continues his hot trend with 100 Yards.
Donnie Avery had a game for Fantasy Owners to remember.
Coby Fleener got the TD while Dwayne Allen got more targets.
IND D/ST did not play so well until the end.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS

Chad Henne did well considering the weather.
Montell Owens is all the Jags have at RB with Jennings out with a concussion.
Still no official word on MJD, likely Out.
Cecil Shorts is an explosive WR with a team leading 12 Targets. TD streak continues.
Justin Blackmon was dropping balls all game in bad weather.
Marcedes Lewis continues to play like a Top 15 TE.
Jax D/ST had a weather advantage.

TENNESSEE TITANS

Jake Locker failed to hold onto to the ball (3 INT/2 FUML).
Which really hurt CJ2K who fumbled as well.
Kenny Britt once again saved his day with a late TD.
Jared Cook saw a team leading 12 Targets.
Kendall Wright was second with 10.
Nate Washington continues to be the man crush who led the way with 96 Yards.
Titans D/ST did an okay job considering how bad the offense was.

CLEVELAND BROWNS

Brandon Weeden continues to impress with a terrible WR group.
Trent Richardson got his TD against the Raiders.
Josh Gordon is the clear #1 WR, but the race is tight for #2.
Benjamin Watson continues to turn back the clock with another great game.
Browns D/ST was no threat in a great matchup.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS

Charlie Batch had a great game for him.
Ben Roethlisberger is expected to be the QB next week.
Which gives everybody a boost.
Jonathan Dwyer continues to rumble and is the clear #1 RB in Pitt.
Heath Miller is in the good graces of Batch and Big Ben.
Antonio Brown and Mike Wallace are happy to have their QB.
Steelers D/ST performed well in reality.

BALTIMORE RAVENS

Joe Flacco continues to disappoint.
Ray Rice saved his day with a beautiful TD scamper.
Anquan Boldin continues to be the #1 WR when Baltimore needs him most.
Dennis Pitta is worthless.
Torey Smith is completely hit or miss.
Ravens D/ST was not as explosive as Fantasy owners would have hoped for.

CINCINNATI BENGALS

Andy Dalton continues to be a good low-end #1 Fantasy QB.
Benjarvus Green-Ellis 3rd straight 100 Yard game.
Cedric Peerman could be OUT in Week 14.
A.J. Green failed to reach the endzone for the second time.
Andrew Hawkins took Sanu’s targets right away.
Jermaine Gresham continues to be a great TE to own.
Bengals D/ST held in the redzone.

SAN DIEGO CHARGERS

Phillip Rivers continues to get terrible protection.
Ryan Mathews cannot do anything with his bad offensive line.
DNX Danario Alexander was huge in garbage time.
Malcolm Floyd continues to see good targets.
Antonio Gates was second in targets, only 49 Yards.
Chargers D/ST made some plays, but also allowed long drives.

DENVER BRONCOS

Peyton Manning continues to be the man for Denver.
Knowshon Moreno was able to manage a semi-good game.
Demariyus Thomas remains an ELITE #1 WR.
Erick Decker is battling for targets these days. High-End WR#3 with #2 upside.
Jacob Tamme for the second week in a row was the #2 option in the passing game.
Broncos D/ST. ELITE but did not do as well as owners expected.
AFC Champions.

OAKLAND RAIDERS

Carson Palmer was able to go old school with a big performance.
James Stewart was the main RB, Marcel Reece could lose all his value.
Darren McFadden is expected to return this week.
Denarius Moore was a bust and benched.
Darrius Heyward-Bey did not step up.
Which led to Brandon Myers having a career game.
Raiders D/ST is very beatable. Which is the nicest way of putting it.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

Brady Quinn put up numbers. Has to do it again for any believers.
Jamaal Charles is giving KC everything he’s got.
Peyton Hillis is stealing the true Fantasy value with the TDs.
Dwayne Bowe continues to be everything KC has.
Jonathan Baldwin needs another big game to re-gain faith.
Tony Moeaki is starting to make some fantasy noise consistently.
Chiefs D/ST did not do much to stop Cam. But did enough to win.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

Nick Foles looked the best he has all season.
Bryce Brown is a BEAST. LeSean McCoy is still trying to return.
Jeremy Maclin is a WR#3 despite being the best option.
Brent Celek saw a lot of targets for the first time in a while.
Eagles D/ST was not a threat.

DALLAS COWBOYS

Tony Romo continues to dominate second half of games.
DeMarcco Murray is back and ready to BEAST away.
Dez Bryant is a Top 10 WR with Top 5 upside.
Miles Austin is still a threat.
Jason Witten is the closest thing to Top 5 TE in Football.
Dallas D/ST was not great, but the TD was huge at the end.

NEW YORK GIANTS

Eli Manning failed in the redzone consistently.
Ahmad Bradshaw is ready to be the man for the G-Men.
Victor Cruz is ELITE.
Hakeem Nicks will have better days.
Martellus Bennett reminded us of the good days.
Giants D/ST did as well as any against RGIII.

WASHINGTON REDSKINS

RGIII gave his fantasy owners a less than average performance for him.
Alfred Morris looked great, a TD would have been huge.
Pierre Garcon is the #1 WR on that team by a long shot.
Redskins D/ST stepped up in the redzone.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS

Christian Ponder needs Percy to save him.
Adrian Peterson could have had a bigger game if Ponder did not throw redzone INTs.
Kyle Rudolph is clearly the man when Harvin is out.
No other Vikings WR is trust-worthy besides Harvin.
Vikings D/ST did well on the road limiting Rodgers to a human type performance.

GREEN BAY PACKERS

Aaron Rodgers continues to disappoint for his owners.
James Starks and Alex Green are in a complete time share.
Starks is by far the more explosive player.
Greg Jennings is expected to replace Jordy Nelson as the #1 WR.
For only this week as Jordy is doubtful.
Randall Cobb will stay more than relevant WR#2 with #1 upside.
James Jones will get his few targets as JerMichael Finley overshadows him.
Packers D/ST made Ponder look like Ponder. AP look like AP.

CHICAGO BEARS

Jay Cutler was good in a not so great matchup.
Matt Forte is healthy and the man moving forward 100% for the Bears.
Michael Bush is nothing but a handcuff.
Brandon Marshall is a #1 Fantasy WR with little doubt.
Earl Bennett is the #2 on the Bears, but not worth trusting.
Kellen Davis is not a trustworthy TE.
Bears D/ST was not impressive at all.

DETROIT LIONS

Matthew Stafford leads the NFL in pass attempts by a large margin.
Mikel Leshoure continues to save his days with goal line TDs.
Joique Bell is a great all-around RB who cannot be trusted yet.
Megatron continues to dominate.
Ryan Broyles is out for the season.
Mike Thomas is an okay add, WR#4 with WR#3 upside.
Brandon Pettigrew is back to a shade of what he once was.
Tony Scheffler could be the one who really sees the most targets with no Broyles.
Lions D/ST is breakable.

ATLANTA FALCONS

Matt Ryan continues to play lousy in Red zone situations.
Michael Turner had a terrible late fumble.
JacQuizz Rodgers should see more touches, still RB#3.
Roddy White only caught one ball of his 7 Targets.
Julio Jones only had 48 Yards which is terrible for a WR of his caliber.
Tony Gonzalez continues to play young.
ATL D/ST is a unit I would be afraid of.

CAROLINA PANTHERS

Cam Newton is back to his 1st round value. Right in time for the Playoffs.
DeAnglo Williams was great on only 12 Carries.
Jonathan Stewart could return to put an end to his value.
Steve Smith had his breakout game that was long overdue.
Greg Olsen made his  lone catch count for a 47 Yard TD.
Brandon LaFell dropped a deep bomb that could have lead to a TD.
Panthers D/ST is not a unit that can be trusted, waive them.

Josh Freeman had a tough matchup.
Doug Martin never stood a chance when Tampa fell behind.
Mike Williams exploded.
TDs A Make Them Dance.
TDs A Make Them Dance. Vol. II
Vincent Jackson was facing Champ Bailey coverage.
Dallas Clark once again finds his way into the endzone.
TB D/ST continues it’s struggles.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

Drew Brees owners can only have a short-term memory.
Pierre Thomas made his mark on the RB situation with 14 Carries.
Mark Ingram is the goal line RB.
Darren Sproles is the 3rd down/2:00 RB.
Christopher Ivory is the Run the clock out RB.
Marques Colston continues to get his targets.
Lance Moore is great in the right matchup.
Tony Gonzalez continues to play Young.
Saints D/ST is a different unit from earlier this season.

ARIZONA CARDINALS

Ryan Lindley is the worst QB in the NFL. Makes a joke of the Cardinals Franchise.
Beanie Wells needs a QB that can distract the defense.
Larry Fitzgerald could have had an easy TD if Lindley made a good throw.
Michael Floyd led the team in targets, still nothing with Lindley at QB.
Cardinals D/ST is an inconsistent bunch with huge upside.

SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

Colin Kaepernick did not move the ball well at all.
Frank Gore saved his day with a TD.
Brandon Jacobs was no threat at the goal line.
Michael Crabtree was the only productive WR for Colin.
Vernon Davis was a non-factor, expect him and Crabtree to switch off.
SF D/ST is the best group in the business.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Russell Wilson is now an official #2 Fantasy QB.
Marshawn Lynch reminded owners that he can go into BEAST MODE.
Sidney Rice saved the day for Seattle with a huge TD at the end. No concussion.
Golden Tate has been a sleeper WR#3 as of late. Hopefully you added him back when I told you.
Zach Miller is not worth owning.
Seahawks D/ST is never the best road defense.

ST. LOUIS RAMS

Sam Bradford is doing the best he can with a below average WR group.
Steven Jackson went old school on us with 7 receptions to save his running game.
Chris Givens is the clear #1 WR for the second week in a row with no Amendola.
Danny Amendola could miss another game as of now.
Rams D/ST continues to play well. Colin Kapernick is not a threat with his arm.

  1. I have a hard time putting any faith in Steve Smith this year. Newton and the running game have been inconsistent, allowing defenses to key in on and frustrate Smith. I wouldn’t categorize last week’s performance as a breakout game when half of Smith’s yardage came on a last second Hail Mary. I guess I’m just venting here but can anyone give me reason to trust Smith again??? I have a tough matchup in 1st round of playoffs this week and need to play the right guys.
